Like Fine Pearls Or Fine Rubies
9/29/2020

Daily Devotions:
by Christina Farris

Matthew 13:45-46 KJV
45 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls:
46 Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.

If we look at the universal body of Christ, the body that has no walls of a church building but it a member of the body by faith alone, that is the bride of Christ. Christ paid for his bride. He not only paid for his bride but he sought her out. God in his wisdom sent his Son to purchase the church. The son had to seek those that were lost from the church/body of believers as well as to pay for the price of their mistakes. Yet despite all He had to do for his bride he found her to be a pearl of great price. The bride of Christ is called to be a virtuous woman, her price is far above rubies, and her heart is for Jesus alone. Christ trust in us not to waste what he has given us. And the church desire should be for her husband Jesus, never seeking him harm but the good of their fellow believers.

There is a point this morning where is our loyalty this morning to Jesus, or the world. Are we seeking to know Jesus, or only desiring what Jesus offers. When heaven and earth pass away what remains but God and his offspring. What is pearls, what are rubies, what are fairest of the stones of our world and now who are we to God but the gems in crown. Our crown being our life we give to God when we cast ourselves at his feet, Never understanding yet ever perceiving the glory of it all. The true value being our relationship with our Lord. Those things of riches yet to be seen, not so, as some desire. For the true riches of God are his family. Yet God will rebuild a place for us a new place. A new heaven and a new earth with all the glory of his creating power within it, for us to roam, live and worship him, as he watches over all of his creation. You are God's jewels and your are more precious then the rest of God's creation. He crowned his Son over the angels of the world, and the angels of the world that follow and seek him are his children, and the bride of his Son.

How much more precious can you can in value as being a part of the family of God. People loose precious things all the time, but the most precious is life. I lost a dear sweet neighbor the other day. I told my husband we will miss knowing she was their. It seems trivial to some, but truth is it family it friends, it people we really don't know but we see on a regular bases we miss the most. Some say good bye and others will never said the first hello. Our place in the universe is special, why because we value life above death, above animate objects. Treasures of God's world in the since of material things are replaceable and God makes that clear, but human life is only replaceable to places of work. A person can be gone today and replaced tomorrow. Our Supreme Court Office soon to replaced after the death of a special supreme court justice in our nation, Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Yet her life be reminded by those that knew here best, her family, co workers and friends. Yet life is what it is. Here today gone tomorrow. For those of the Christian faith we say good bye to the lost, and remember those of faith are not gone or forgotten.

Life is precious and if we fail to see the value of another we fail to see their part in our universe, there part we can visibly or invisibily see, but it part of what makes our world unique and special, and as God changes lives we see something even more unique but the change Christ brings in each of us. Unfortunatelly even the devil has his place on earth for a time, but not for long. God will not allow evil to remain it will not return with the new heaven and the new earth. He preparing a place for his children, A place we yet to see, but there only be new and no old earth or heaven, all will be new again. You are God's children and his gems as fellow believers of faith.

Dear Heavenly Father, help us to remember we are your treasures, that nothing in heaven or earth is more valuable to you then your kids besides Jesus. Help us to trust and live for you because you care so much for each of us. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

Continual Scripture Study: Proverbs 31:10-12 KJV
10 Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.
11 The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil.
12 She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life.

1 Peter 5:3-4 KJV
3 Neither as being lords over God's heritage, but being ensamples to the flock.
4 And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away.

Malachi 3:16-18 KJV
16 Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name.
17 And they shall be mine, saith the LORD of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him.
18 Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not.
