Peace With God
9/20/2019

Daily Devotions:
by Christina Farris

Roman 5:1-5 KJV
1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
3 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;
4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope:
5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

When I begin to go through scripture I know there is an answer to the dilemma to explain my thoughts running through my head. No I am not confused, but there is a conclusion that must be explained about the cross of Jesus. I have covered in almost four months coming back how Christ is equal to God and his Son, and yet I fail to explain if God is the God of the Old Testament and is Father to Jesus, but equal, yet Old Testament says we are to worship God alone, at the cross Christ forgave man of their ignorance. Why do we beat each other up over sin, if God has forgiven the world? If forgiven then why do we need to keep throwing grabbage of sin in everyone's face. Why do ministers cry out you sinner, and yet fail to explain forgiveness and recounciliation, a time of peace with mankind? Minister do teach all this but there something they miss the word peace.

The word Peace is important here it is necessary to understand our crime of sin is forgiven, but we must have faith. We are justified by faith. Not justified by our own merit mind you, but through the work of Grace by God our Savior, and Jesus our Savior. God is our deliver, and the Son is the savior of the world and over the idea of separation of communication with God because of sin? There was need of sacrifice for sin before the cross and there has always been a priced paid through sacrific before the cross, but after the cross the sin debt is cover and there is no more need for sacrifice for sin. Christ was the final sacrifice and he paid it all. Sin separates us from God's house/paradise, but not from God. Adam and Eve's offspring still talked to God and they learned to perform a sacrifice by their parents. They even knew what type of sacrifice was pleasing to God and what was not.

Because of faith we have access to God's grace, that we rest upon and stand upon. Upon belief we have access to God, then repentance comes in the form of saying I am sorry to God for my sin and choosing to turn away from sin. We know hardship works patients and experiences. The journey with God is not an easy road. For we are no longer just passerbyers watching people of faith carry on, but we are part of the journey of the people of faith, meaning our testimony becomes a reality. Our testimony/walk of faith become a trial of faith. Meaning if we trust in God, Christ and the Holy Spirit in the steps we take in life, our journey is smooth not always deliteful, but we move by the Spirit of God in the direction he calls us to go in. We move with Him in harmony for his work and will of our life that he going to do before an audience of people and no audience of people. Beware the devil watches to lay a trap, people watch because they want the hope of faith to be real and a choice they want to make too if it real in your life.

What do we struggle with following God, doing it his way. Not giving heed to the devil or others in opposition to God's plan for your life. With every opposition I have faced, I still believe God plan is for me to go back to work, and yet I wonder why the delay and only God knows. Our hope will not make us ashamed. Delay is not from trying it I keep injuring myself not on purpose mind you, but accidently. So I put off searching hard for work, until I am able to perform the duties of work. My hope is God is going to enable me to go back and able to do with the strength of an eagle and the surefootness of a gazelle. I know when I do, God is going to enable me to do what I need to do. Meantime I still typing daily with occasional day off for free for God's glory. What I know is my hope is in my Savior because I have peace through Christ with God. God grant us peace through his Son, he is our peace offering, for all have sinned and fallen short of God's glory. We all have failed. Jesus is the only one that did not fail. Enoch was a righteous man, by faith and walked with God, but he was just a man, but God translated him to heaven. What then if Enoch not perfect but with faith seen heaven, where is forgiveness with God. Enoch would of performed the sacrifices for sin, in order to be righteous by faith. This man would not of been perfected in regards of no blame, not like Christ. Yet because of his obedience through sacrifice and faith, caused his righteousness for the time before God, and he favored him and Enoch did not see death.

People we are not under the Old covenant with God we need Christ for forgiveness of sin. We need the peace God offered man. We need Jesus to say Father forgive them for they know not what they do. We need Jesus to say yes they all idiots, with faults. What I mean by idiots, not a lack of intelligent, but a lack of ignorance of our wrong often times. Lack of understanding or intelligent enough to understand our need for God's grace. Our understanding we need a higher power in our life is not absent from most of us. Yet there exception to every rule. What we need to understand how holy God is and how filth of sin must be buried in order to approach God, how repentance and confession must come and how looking to Jesus as the people looked to the serpent in the wilderness, brought peace to our hearts by faith we are healed of our sin and the sin is buried.

Dear Heavenly Father, may your grace come with forgiveness. May your peace rest in our hearts as we look to Christ and his ability to bury all our sin with His death, and give us a new relationship with you. in Jesus precious name, Amen.

Continual Scripture Study for Devotion:Titus 3:3-7 KJV
3 For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.
4 But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared,
5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
6 Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;
7 That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
