God's Plan Verses The World We Live In

Daily Devotions: by Christina Farris

Mark 10:2-12 KJV
(2) And the Pharisees came to him, and asked him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife? tempting him.
(3) And he answered and said unto them, What did Moses command you?
(4) And they said, Moses suffered to write a bill of divorcement, and to put her away.
(5) And Jesus answered and said unto them, For the hardness of your heart he wrote you this precept.
(6) But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female.
(7) For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife;
(8) And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh.
(9) What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.
(10) And in the house his disciples asked him again of the same matter.
(11) And he saith unto them, Whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her.
(12) And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she committeth adultery.

One the hardest things to grasp is the law of marriage and the law of divorce. Moses gave men and women the law of divorce. He was a man of divorce. Was the law of convenience or a law of earth. The law of marriage was made in the garden of Eden. The earth is the garden of Eden or paradise. Yet Jesus said in Luke that men and woman were not given in marriage and were like the angels. It is hard to grasp a law made in heaven applying to our world, because the two worlds are different. Hell itself will have different laws of torturer and pain. Law of God never changed the location of man did and will with the status of eternity.

With the thought of eternity one must prepare themselves for the laws of not of this earth. Yet Jesus proves something in the extended devotional reading verses that marriage was given to man in the garden, but something changes with our eternal status in heaven for we are no longer given in marriage. Yet in the garden of Eden we were given in marriage. Adam was from the earth and placed in Eden, yet the second time around man is placed in heaven because of belief in Jesus. Yet our status has changed from human to like the angels.

Divorcement only applied on earth, and not in heaven. Divorce applied not even to God. Where can we go from God that He not with us. We might have been forced from paradise, but God never divorced man in regards of being without God to man. Eternity is either with God or without God, the eternal lake of fire will be without God. Heaven will be with God and the New Jerusalem will be with God.

The point is divorcement is a law of Moses given for manís benefit. It was never a law of God, but in heaven it will no longer matter. Maybe the need to take someone elses advice verses taking advice of God was something God realized man did not need to be tempted with. No I think the truth is God knows the only perfection relationship is with Him, because He knows everything about us especially our heart, mind and soul. Man and woman thinking they need each other and in truth only need God, but the benefits of knowing others is to build a better relationship with our Heavenly Father. We all learn from each other and even realize sometimes it better to stay away from each other and not always being joined together. Eve caused Adamís sin, but it would not be the last sin she would cause I do not doubt. Divorce is beneficial when two people just can not get along. Only perfect relationship is with God. Men and woman choose to honor their relationship with God by honoring marriage, yet it not always possible. I believe like Moses God understand the human relationship. Even Moses desired divorce from Godís people and should because he goes and lives else where while Israel goes into the promise land.

Dear Heavenly Father demonstrate your grace to those in relationships that need to be severed for safety sake and better living. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

Luke 20:34-36 KJV
(34) And Jesus answering said unto them, The children of this world marry, and are given in marriage:
(35) But they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage:
(36) Neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto the angels; and are the children of God, being the children of the resurrection.
