This morning as I type the first time I heard this passage preach was probably around 1990 or so and my recollection of the sermon is the key passage used was not this passage, so I had to go hunt it down once told it was in the Bible. Now at that time I probably been in church close or over twenty years and never remembered this passage even spoken about. I had to come to terms of what I thought on this subject. Every tv minister had prayer cloths on them at that time, and even anointing oil. and even holy water. Now this was preached in a little church with maybe less then twenty people in at the time, but a holiness woman, in a small independent church. After the sermon I went up and asked where it was in scripture. I do not know if it was before or after my wreck. However what I do know she spoke about prayer clothes and the fact that Paul used even aprons and anointed them with oil and gave them to the sick. The only other reference also found in Acts of Peter walking through the streets and even his shadow cast upon the people were healing, along with prayer cloths and oil.

My background was such it was not that we did not believe in God's ability to heal it was the issue of this what some call a contact point for healing was it necessary or just psychological mumbo jumbo. When you begin in your life to weight the word of God in your heart, you weighing not only God's word but your own thoughts on God's word. It has to begin somewhere. The story of ark is easy to believe, th wilderness not so unreal, but some of the miracles perhaps. Yet even the miracles in the wilderness had contact point or something that must be done to receive from God. A type of obedience to the situation involved. Now I looking at the idea do prayer cloth work and are they necessary. Will Elijah told the Eunuch to go dunk himself seven times in the jordan river to be healed of leprosy. The point of contact and obedience to the point of contact was the jordan river. After all the Eunuch could of dunked himself in a cleaner and clear river then the jordan river. It simple really, a decision of faith, but often we struggle because of unseen events.

The thought is what part of scripture do you believe. A watched a video of a man that lifted his left arm after he claimed having a stroke. Now that is a mystery, was the film mirrored backwards so it was showing the opposite arm. No clue. Technology can cause things to look real or fake, or with the question of not sure. It left with questions of is the stroke real or fake. So with that said, one is then searching for truth in a situation like that. Why doubt anything, why not believe everything someone tells you, because you just might be in a shower and someone says the house is on fire and you run out with a towel around your waist to a surprise birthday party.

There is a point this morning when we read scripture in order to test it, the variable of obedience to the instruction must be seen. The object of touch must not be an idol, or a form or possession of idol worship. It must be of God or the thing commanded to receive must be obeyed. The vagonbonds, Jew, Exocists thought he could cast out evil spirits in the name of Jesus without being a believer in Christ. He thought he could do as Paul did, not understand first he needed to be a believer, when the demon found out he was neither Jesus or Paul, he attack him and his seven sons to the point they left naked and wounded out of the house.

The name of the Lord Jesus grew because of Paul and not because of the Jewish priest that knew not Jesus. Point you can not use God and God is the one by his Spirit that must instruct to use the name of Jesus in dealing with exorcism. Fear grew among the people, and the name of Jesus was magnified. Even the demons know who are God's children. Who are believers in Christ. The demons had no knowledge of this Jew that performed exorcisms, he was not a Christian or sealed by the Holy Spirit.

Paul had been healing in the streets and anointing prayer aprons and cloths, and healing in the name of Jesus, and demons were even cast out. A huge revival had been going on. The event was huge, but the knowledge of why Jesus name had not been understood, nor did they understand without fear, what God was doing, With fear came the getting rid of anything to do with magic arts, even to burning of books, and anything to do with sorcery and witchcraft(curious arts) People got saved and confessed the win of magic, witchcraft, demons, and so forth. They no longer lived in fear but with the knowledge of the power of God.

When these things are never discussed, then these things seem to have no reality to them, but when they are discussed, the knowledge and power of Jesus is understood. In our nation some of these are more wide spread then they use to be dealing with occult world. Do we pray in the name of Jesus, do we cast the demons out, does God show his power to be greater as we follow his instruction and as believers pray in the name of Jesus or do we run from what we can not explain.

Where is the line drawn in one's life when it comes to things not of this world in daily reality, but of this world as far as being present causing problems in the world of definitely the heathens and unbelievers. Sometimes it only psychological, and sometimes what we perceive is only some type of force that can be explained, and sometimes it is what is when it comes to demonic being. If we believe in God, is there a evil force of destruction in our land, the answer is God is still in control, and evil force is there that can and will be destroy by and with the name of Jesus. Yet we can not use God, God most move through the believe. Miracles came through Paul's hand were wrought by God, not by Paul. I say Paul was amazed at the invents in his life as other believers were.

Dear Heavenly Father, continue to amazes through the power of your Son's name, Jesus. Help us to have faith that you are in control and demons must flee in your name as beleivers bear the mark of the Holy Spirit seen by evil one. In Jesus precious name, Amen.
