Satan Is Given Permission 10/28/2020
Daily Devotions: by Christina FarrisJob 1:7-12 KJV
7 And the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.
8 And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil?
9 Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, Doth Job fear God for nought?
10 Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land.
11 But put forth thine hand now, and touch all that he hath, and he will curse thee to thy face.
12 And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the Lord.
Satan in this passage is given the authority to do what? All that was owned by Job was in the power of the Satan, but was not allowed to be destroyed Job's body. One has to stop and ask why? Job was righteous so righteous he even offered sacrifice for sin on the altar for his own children after they had a big party where there was drinking. It be like a parent going to the altar for their children today and asking forgiveness for their children, but their children repenting not. We can ask for God's mercy on a person's life but when they are killed without repentance, they had crossed a line with God. Satan would take everyone from him, but his nagging wife and three friends. Even left him the broken clay piece to scrap his sores from the boils he would inflicted Job with. Satan was given permission to bully Job, to abuse Job, and to inflict Job, but he was not allowed to kill him.
Temptation that comes from Satan is only a test to see if you are really God's child. If you ever had someone to test your faith, to see if you really are a believer, you know two things they forget that you are human. That you have faults and enability to keep from being human at times with stress, worries and so forth. Christ when he was tested by Satan was given every opportunity to give up his place as the only begotten Son of God even to the cross. How much can humanity take. Christ took mocking, beating, beard being plucked, thorns on his head, and nailed to a cross. Job lost everything he owned on earth, but still sought God to the reason why.
Satan looks for those he can devour and those that seem to think they are more righteous then they ought to be. Satan looks for the flaws of man to be an accuser. We all are accusers. Today I got frustrated when I had to call government agency to check on some things, If you ever had to deal with government about their red tape imagine what it is like after Cov 19. It still ungoing and a process. It just Cov 19 they say. My thoughts are: you got all my paper work because it already in your computer system you say, but guess what you still lying to me. I say that government. Government going to lie before they tell the truth. If it in the computer system already then it already there, and so it just delayed by what, not sure? Time or the government red tape is still in processing. The devil is the government, and government is no doubt still thinking they are God only to one day find they can not control a pandemic, or a wide world situation because they are no longer in control beyond paper work and science experiments they hope will protect man against the devil. Devil is using every form of control with computer red tape, disease, death toll, and even attitudes and actions of people he can control with his demons/ devil's angels. God's people can not be touched, only by what common to man. Only to suffering of humanity, the effects of the source. God's people got a hedge around them, and God's teaching them humbleness of the situation, of his mercy, if we can understand that. I think sometimes that mercy is beyond our comprehension, it does not make invisible but pushes us to move foreward in faith and to our knees, no devil might attack but he can destroy the will of God. Devil might rear up his ugly head, but he can not remain.
When the seven year ruler comes the anti Christ will rise but will not remain in power but seven years. The torment of the anti Christ can not remain. The power of the enemy to control will be demolished one day. Seek not the devil or his devils, they have no room in the life of a believer, but know if you are attack it because you are a child of God, and it a time of testing of your faith. It will not last and it can not be controlled. There many that act like devils and are not. God's power is in control and the devil time period is limited. This virus as a timetable as well as many others of the day of final destruction. God's day of mercy on children of disobedience is running out. There is a day of destruction coming. Take God at his word and not worry about what you do not understand, God has put a limit on the devil that roar like raging lion. And God will settle you after your day of temptation, and give you rest.
Dear Heavenly Father, you may allow Satan rule for a time, but only for a time period that will end. Help us to remain humble in your presents knowing the enemy power will not last. Let us rest your grace and mercy. In Jesus precious name, Amen.
Continual Scripture Study: 1 Peter 5:6-11 KJV
6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:
7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
9 Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
10 But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.
11 To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
12 By Silvanus, a faithful brother unto you, as I suppose, I have written briefly, exhorting, and testifying that this is the true grace of God wherein ye stand.
Job 1:5 KJV
5 And it was so, when the days of their feasting were gone about, that Job sent and sanctified them, and rose up early in the morning, and offered burnt offerings according to the number of them all: for Job said, It may be that my sons have sinned, and cursed God in their hearts. Thus did Job continually.
