The Light Of Every Man
10/8/2020

Daily Devotions:
by Christina Farris

John 1:6-15 KJV
6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.
7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.
8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.
9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.
10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
15 John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me.

If we sit and think on this issue of man making man or infants from a cell a long time, we have to rationalize that man still needs God for the egg and sperm to create human life. It matters not how much technology is out there to even make reproductive tissue, or even sperm and the egg, science need God for the elements. The Cornavirus may have a new cure, but it does not mean, the vaccine would not be a greater source of control unless it becomes in society no worse then a common cold. The issue is anything we think we can create we are short lived by the fact God created first. Scripture declares that man can not live without him lighting us. Think for a moment from before birth with the begining of life being created til the time of first breath, God is doing a unique work within the womb of the mother. That child first breath is ignited by the power of God. Yet there times God does not ignite a child and we wonder why, if he has the power to create, he takes a child before he or she is born is it because God knows the life this child will live despite he would have had to ignite, or light that life.

What then do we fully understand God's power to take a life to light a life. To put the flame of life out, and to light it. Christ came to bring life, but what kind of life, if God ignites us then what is this light about that is seen in darkness that lights the path of every man, it is the light that shines and decalres the reality of God, but it also a light that so shines that speaks to the heart of man of eternity the everlasting life of God and those that are called by his name to be his children. We are all called to be children, but not all seek the ways of God or his light. Not all want to be born of God not by blood, or will of flesh but the will of God, talking of spiritual rebirth by power of God.

We are chosen by God to receive Christ, and we are all are predestine to be children of God, but not all of chose to be a child of God. God gives the factor of free will to chose our path in life. However with predesitne we all are called, he does not deny anyone the power to become a child of his. Jesus is his first child, because he was even before John, but he was also from the beginning when the world was created. He first was the word of God that would become flesh. It hard to picture the full meaning at times, if we dwell to long or two short on this issue. However we must understand we have a choice between good and evil. Everyone has that choice to choose good or bad. Bad takes you straight to hell, the light of God's word takes you to Jesus the light of God, and saves your soul from the wrath of God and darkness of the world of evil.

Do you prefer evil? do you like evil things, it different then victory of slaughter over evil. What is evil? Evil is the constant desire to harm another, constant desire to harm oneself, the constant desire to want evil things to happen, instead of good. The desire to see evil things happen the gore of a head being chopped off or a body mulitated, the desire for destruction. When President Trump took office anything good that Democrates did he wanted destroyed and redone. First time I ever seen a man take office and wanted to destroy the opposition more then try to bring two groups together. President Obama and Vice President Biden seem to be trying to move our nation toward peaceful togetherness, instead of do it my way or else mentality. Does President Trump know the art of negotiation perhaps, but does it always have to be done it his way mentality, even if the other party is right in their thinking. It the idea that one way is better then another. It the mentality of school yard and not becoming of the president office.

We have to ask ourselves what different between the devil and God. What are the ways of Satan and the ways of man that is in direct opposition of God and for what reason. God's way is best then all other ways are evil, or not as good, because we do not hold the full picture in our hands. President Trump does not hold all the playing cards, we got three branches of government with equal power. God and Satan are not equals. Democrate House Speaker Pelosi is governor by those in the house to a degree, and Trump is head of his office with executive branch beneath him, all working hard for the agenda of the president. The house working all for the agenda of all people. A majority of folks instead of minor of one thinking in office.

God holds all the answers and Jesus has key to lock the old devil up, to put evil behind and evil to be destroyed. When we love evil to the point there is no light, we have to ask, why is light no more the focus. Why is doing good no longer the plan? Why is controll more important then the light the brings life to everyone from the day He is born. Jesus desire good things for everyone, but no one else desire it for everyone. Some rather see others knock down and on the streets then receiving good things of this world. Some only look for the darkness they are within, instead of the hope of light that shines in our world for all to receive. the hope where it a lollipop, gumdrop sunshiney day.

When you step out your door this morning consider what kind of day you hope to have, and what do you hope for those you work with, those you meet, and those you see. Ask yourself is all that goodness making you sick, why? Because truth is you need goodness in your life too, you need Christ to shine in you. The hope and grace of life where evil does not exist and everyday is wonderful for you too.

Dear Heavenly Father, may the light of Christ shine in our life, so that we can see your goodness in our life. We born to a darkened world, but our life is lit by you to give us the hope of tomorrow. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

Continual Scripture Study: Ephesians 1:3-8 KJV
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:
4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,
6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.
7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;
8 Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence;
