Tribulation Before The Time Of Christ 10/7/2020
Daily Devotions: by Christina FarrisMatthew 24:29-31 KJV 29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
Does God cause our tribulation or do we cause our tribulation? Is our struggle because of our faith, or because of no faith. We live in a time, when our tax office was shut down temporarily during the pandemic. Our government not shut down, but put in a place of can they fully recover without crashing down. Our nation like other nations look at this pandemic as one to fear, but is it a fear that controls our world. Our tribulation began before the pandemic and continues into the pandemic, meaning, our nation was in a recession in the time of President Obama. The economy having an impacted because of war, effected by aid to other countries, including our own during disasters. Our government been fairly secure even in difficult times, and many things help fuel economic trade world, from politics, to disasters, to war, to times of rest, to times of trying to keep up with the jones, because mr jones has it, i got to have it too. However if you reach mid life you realize that you do not need to keep up with Jones, and the baby boomers are headed toward the nursing homes. The generation of multiples is not dead, but the generation fueled the economy by baby boom after WWII is only now seeing the baby boomer did not plan for the day that the generation come up behind would fuel the nursing homes, or other economics. In other words less population means less fueling of the economy. It it may not effect us much in many ways, but it is a factor no ne considers. We have to reproduce more to take care of the baby boom generation with less children to fuel it. Five kids taking care of mom and dad not the same as one or two children taking care of mom and dad. Pay maybe the same or greater, but buying houses, sending kids through college and so forth puts a damper on many things and prices did increase. Trinkets, bobbles and the latest gadgets do not have the same affect on this generation, and it things that fuel the economy. The frivolous spending that is not seen right now because of a pandemic. Even something bought frivilously is bought or made the cheapest way. People look long term at their finances and wonder will they survive this crisis.
There is a point before Christ return there is going to be tribulation. The lights of the earth will not give light. They talking about powers of government, leaders, and stars. How many of us watch television or are we watching social media instead. It has become the tv replacement. Most do not have time for extra activity do to work, And yet the jobs and global markets are almost back to semi normal rate, it level off. Many wonder if this tribulation is the end. Well it could be, but in truth we do not know what the last tribulation will look like beyond the fact we know the power of the worlds will die out. When Christ return the powers as we know them will not be necessary for God and Christ will rule his people.
Our nation is floating in the light of our leaders, and global economics of our time. We all watch to see what is going to happen, not truly sure if everything is really going to be okay. We can not live in this fear. As believers we have hope that no matter the status of the world Christ is returning to take his people home, That heaven and earth will pass away. The economics of our time can shift, collaspe and continue and it will not matter, because God says the lights of our world will cease at some point. I think to my self you mean the continue barrage of political world on social media going to not be there.
Anyway, the point being we put our hope and trust in many things around us without ever realizing these things will cease at some point with the coming of Christ. If we rest in the one thing we know is a sure deal and that is the coming Christ then these things around us will continue and our life may change and be reshaped but Christ does not change his word for us about his return or his deliverance from the things of this world. It is the plowing through this world that hard, but not the end for the believer, there is hope fully realized with the coming of Christ.
People on the streets with no home look for a day of rest and peace in a shelter that is their own. Yet when it comes it takes time to adjust. Those forced to the streets are forced not always because of their failure to work, but their failure to maintain enough finances to keep from the streets. These things change like living in a small home to living in a bigger house for some. The changing or shifting of time and culture, some to down sizing for economic reasons in their own home.
Changing of seasons the changes in life do not cease, but when that last trumpet sounds, all believers will be changed, and meet their Savior in the sky. We will live with him for eternity, and the tribulation on the world comes with the passing away of earth and heaven as we know it. Time of total destruction. If you watch a sand castle being built you wonder if the high tide will destroy it. The coast around the sand castle is laid with a moat, the different rooms in the castle outlined, and a lot of detail work is placed in this one sand castle. The next day it is no more. Even the birds of the air build their nest only to rebuild in spring again. Animals do not keep their same burro. Ants carry food for the winter, only to start again in the spring.
What is the point are we trusting in the one that can save our soul or only in those things we ourselves can do with our own hands. The things with our own hands will pass away. Economic times as hard and easy as it is for some and not others will change with the passing of time. Can we trust in any of it. Probably not, yet a rich man only knows what money he has by which bank is secure enough to keep from bankruptcy. The sand castles of this world will pass away. Christ return is coming, and Christ reality will be fully seen to the world. The reality of God and his power to build the promise home, in the New Jerusalem will be fully realized by the believers.
Dear Heavenly Father, help us to trust solely in your word of your Son's return, as we busy ourself with the things of this world, despite economic and global changes in our world. In Jesus precious name, Amen.
Continual Scripture Study: 1 Corinthians 15:52-58 KJV
52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
