I can not help but think on the fact the renewing of God's Holy Spirit was the first evidence of God's love toward mankind. God never stopped loving or speaking to man by His Spirit. Even when Adam and Eve fell the Lord even warned Cain of sin. The renewing of God's Spirit to a nation to individual or the world. I have been upset this week when I seen the death of one of the enemies of our nation. Most of us will not deny someone that is a terrorist need destruction, yet Cain was not destroyed when he killed his brother. Now war is different then just a killing i grant you that, but the death of anyone leaves a bad taste in one's mouth so to speak enemy or not. I ask myself when will all the violence of our nation and the world finally end, and truth it all comes down to when people trully decided to obey God. As long as the enemies of our world is governmental and not religious in the since of humanity, the issue is no longer a battle of whose right and whose wrong but was the laws of our land violated. Our nation wants our land to be free, we have to be willing to take risk concerning spyware technology and hope each individual desires freedom as much as the next. Watergate during the Nixon era when we think of spy technology was really going to far, when it travels to individuals not in government it going even further. If a nation going to live under the power of God despite some states in disagreement we need godly men and women stepping up to the plate of faith in God. How does that happen, how does faith occur? One must be born of God's Spirit. If we want God in control of our nation and our individual life we need to ask God for a refilling of His Spirit across our land. There are spiritual revivals across our land been going on in spurts for quite a time. Yet to see a move of God not just in one locale was impossible for the mass population of our nation. One can look online and see many revivals where the Spirit of God is moving. Where ever God's word exist, God is on the move, even if it only the individual heart.

As we look across the world there is changes in governments around the world. Some changes small and other changes slow but hopefull all good changes for the people of each nation. God's Spirit is not always rushing might wind, sometimes the Spirit of God is slowly working in the lives of individual for change in a positive direction. What is a renewing of the Spirit. What is the renewing of God's Spirit. One is often looking for the revival of great change in human life from salvation to healing, but what about the revival that comes after salvation. This week I wrote on how Christ baptized his disciples he choose with the Holy Spirit to do the work of Christ in the name of Jesus as he began their training of faith. We look over the passage in scripture and we see a people in love with God to a people that seemed burden by religious law because of their desire for a different lifestyle soon finding themselves in the need of God. Despite their change in legal governments there came an awaking of spiritual faith that came with obedience to God among his people. God never forsake his people in the since of abandonment, he just did not change their situation. When they began to learn under new leadership is God's laws still applied. God's love did not change, God's rules did not change, God's judgment did not change, God's protection did not change and God's mercy did not change. What does this teach us about God's Spirit, his Spirit does not just abandon his people of faith despite judgment of God to allow captivity of a people. Adam and Eve in captivity from the garden, found the serpent at their heels, only to also learn God's love continued with the blessing of children. Israel being exile did not mean God left, it meant that God was sorry he created a people of disobedience that at one time had a desire to obey Him. There was remnant of Israelites taken in exile. God did not destroy all of them, but force them to leave the royal city where God's house was built. You give God a house and a place to live you better be willing to obey Him or you will find yourself in search for a new place to live. God's Spirit was so huge it filled his house. When God's Spirit fills this land we need to realize the purging of our land that will occur as well as people coming to the Lord. A purging not by human hand but by the Lord. God's Spirit bring judgment as well as life.

The sickness of the lack of obedience to God is a time when we need a renewing of God's Spirit. The revival of Christ time, began before Christ coming by the making of the way of the Lord by John the baptist and all prophets before. The slow down in ministery perhaps becomes not because of lack of people to minister to, because change as occured not only in the heart but in the life style of the people. God begins the work of purging his people of sin and keeping it clean daily by the renewing of the word daily in the heart of man. How is Christ in the flesh and the word different then religious law. Faith is not just reading and studying scripture but taking time to mediatate and ask God about his word and what he have you do daily for Him. The renewing comes from studying and asking God to renew your heart daily in the things that are spiritual and not of the law. The law of sin can weigh you down, God will purge sin from your life if you allow him, but the obedience comes from more then just from the laws/word of God but obedience of the Spirit. Cain was warned about the things he thought about. His failing was his disobedience to what the Spirit said. Moses went by instruction of God back to Egypt despite his doubt, Noah built an ark, Abraham went and found the promise land. Paul and Silas escaped prison by the power of God. Philip found himself compeled to other locations by God's Spirit in ministry.

Every minister of God feels compeled by God's spirit to minister where they are. Every child of God can be lead by God's Spirit if they are willing to hear and obey. Why do we need to study God's word if we have God's Spirit to direct and guide us. Several things about God's word is it consistent from Old to New Testament. If you study and know God's word you know if what God is speaking to you is His Spirit. In our heads we have many thought and desires that are not always of God. Unfortunately we even deceive ourselves at times of what God says and does not say. We must be careful to hear and listen to God's Spirit. And God confirms many things he speaks to our hearts that is prophetic and that is needed for the hour of strength, wisdom, hope, and so forth. How do we get God to move in our life. First of all God is not a car that we can get in and steer. God is our co pilot that enters our hearts and works with our spirit to move us forward for Him. Our first job is learning to yield to God and give him rightway on the road, the second would be to surrender our hearts and our lives to Him. Then the third get on board with His Spirit as far as the direction and way you should go by studying God's word. The rest will happen as we make ourselves available to God to fill us daily with His Spirit and to continue to walk in faith. Our decision to surrender our lives to God is only a step to what God is preparing us to do for His kingdom. No matter how small or how huge, it can only come by us first yielding and allowing God to be in control.

We pray daily for the renewing and regeneration of the Holy Spirit. The baptism of His Spirt and His word in our life. It starts with the tangible word we can read and helps us to begin to move out in faith like the instruction to Noah to buld the ark. The filling of God's Spirit came to the disciple three times. It was the renewing the Spirit to enable the disciples to testify and to be able to heal, deliver from Satan's power and cast out demons. The filling of the seventy elders in the Old Testament was to be able to carry out the work of the law. There are those that lead by God's Spirit to run for office in our land and some that are not. There are those that teach the law of truth to keep one from disobeying the law of the land, and yet their are others that filled with God's Spirit for ministry. Did God's Spirit ever change, the answer is no. There is still the separation of church and state. Yet it does not mean God's people are not in office, or in office. God has placed people in position to enable his people an to protect our nation to keep our freedoms intact. When those freedoms go our rights to worship God will go. The men and women of law need God's word as much as those in religious field and in our business/home. Yet our nation is mixture of religion now even in governmental offices. If you study scripture you might think we more like Rome then America. God's Spirit will still be of value to those in office. Yet do not think God's spirit does not speak to the heathen of our land and force them into obedience to Him to accomplish his will. You choose to follow God's Spirit willingly by surrendering to Him or unwillingly to obey to see God's will come to pass. God may only allow you to bake the cake for the desert of a king, or he may only allow you to mop the floor of a local shop, but where God places you, you are called to be there. Follow and obey God's Spirit by renewing his Spirit in your life daily. You are saved by grace for eternity, your choice of walking by the Spirit is daily.

Dear Heavenly Father help us to walk daily by your Spirit. Fill us with your Spirit to do your will in our life and in our land. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

2 The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.

4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?
