God had spoken to Solomon twice in Solomon life time. Why only twice perhaps the kingdom being at peace was only part of it, the second perhaps because Solomon spoke the wisdom of God, because Solomon had requested wisdom of Lord. Yet Solomon folly would be the fact he disobeyed God by taking wives of foreign countries that did not follow in the ways of God. Instead his wives were idoltarers and worship strange gods and Solomon even built a house for these strange gods. This month many people will be celebrating Halloween with no thought in mind of evil spirits or the worship of pagan god. Most do not even know the origin of halloween. Now what if you knew it origin came from paganism, would it change your mind of celebrating halloween. Most kids dress and carve pumpkins with no idea that there was much more to the history of Halloween. I did a full month on evil in the Bible one year, I do not think it is currently up in the archive files, I have to look. There is point. No one thinks about pranks of halloween being more then fun time to scare people or reminder how evil this world can be at times. Yet it is those people that take it to extreme putting blades and needles in halloween treats that give a new fear to many that only think of it being a night of custumes and candy. What is wrong with candy and custumes in truth not a thing if done in the right way, not to glorify demons or evil, not to glorify the enemy in anyway. Not to glorify horror like chopping off of heads and things of that nature.

Why this speech a week and half before halloween, it simple the reality of things of idolatry start small and increase into things we can only imagine happening in our world. The dangers of people cutting down trees to block the road, or scaring people in the night to cause terror, is only half the battle. Eggs being tossed at passing cars and things of this nature all dangerous and ruins paint jobs on a car. It all started with a little friendly trick or treat, and became a night of violence in our country, town and villages. Idolatry is like that simple idea of celebration of something not ordained by God because of someone aid or help in time of trouble and the person becomes godlike, in the since of leader, and then worship of the dead leader begins. It might be in the form of offering gifts at an altar built for them and grow into child sacrifice by the occult leader to now lets build a temple to this god. The image we get of Solomon wives worship of the gods of their country is one of sacrificing of their children on the altar, killing their babies. Solmon support his wives habits and even built a temple to these gods even with the knowledge of the reality of God in heaven.

A simple thing as a dress up party turning in to a brothel of orgies and sexual promiscuity. Solomon had a problem of lust of the flesh, to the point the wisdom he had left when it came out of his mouth. It did not return to his own ears. He even had built the house of the Lord and sacrificed upon the altar himself. What had changed Solomon but the sin of his lust. The rise of the occult in our land has only to do with the allowance of occult in small doses begining with pagan traditions creeping into our world. It even crept into some churches. Let us think for a moment if Solomon kingdom was not be taken from him because of his father, but his children would loose the kingdom, what does this say about our parents sins falling on the children of disobedience. We all felt the sin of Adam and Eve in our life and that was centuries and tens of thousands of years ago.

God sent a redeemer who we crucified, and yet His Son still cried forgive them, they are ignorant. It mattes not the impression we get of God today, unless we hold to the truth of God's love tomorrow. Solomon did not retain his fear of God through out his life time. Nor his love he received from God of the many blessings of the size of his kingdom and a time of peace. Peace might come with freedom in regards to the nation but not necessarily the small neighborshoods that live in fear of the disaster befalling because of the bigger sins in higher offices. See sin began in the castle, the sin began that trickled to the people. The sin began as small festival perhaps in celebration of a queen maybe. We really don't know the filtering process, but it can be imagined. Yet without the freedom to make a choice one is only mimicing the religion taught in the land and that can be just as evil if there is no heart knowledge of a living God, because of a failure to hear God and to keep his rules.

Today we seen why Solomon kingdom would fall after his death, forecasted to Solomon by God, and yet Solomon would not see the event himself. Would it send fear to his sons and daughters. Would it send fear to a nation of the price of idolatery. What about you, what is your price of allowing halloween to reign in the home with your children. Only God knows because in truth many people do not see as pagan worship. This is a warning to the believers guard your children's heart and explain the origins of Halloween through allowing them to research it themselves. Not just take a religious fanatic word for it.

In truth God warns us that some wil depart from faith to seduce spirits and things of this world that as nothing to do with God. Solomon is good Old Testament example of the fall of the kingdom to come because of the seducing of spirits of pagan gods. Many of us including me have dressed up for halloween even into adult years never thinking about the origins of halloween or caring. If God is wanting to purify his people this is one thing that we need to rid from our hearts. How is evil funny, people laugh at it and think nothing of evil. When did evil become funny, because your on the side of being torment it not funny. Think again about this time of year. Most will laugh and say I do not think it that big of a deal. Then look at the evil and sin that is in our world and say it not that big of a deal to God not to me. He is the one you need to take it up with. God is still warning his people of the evil of evil. He has not stopped nor will he stop, it is a big deal to God.

Dear Heavenly Father guard your childrens hearts and allow them to know first hand the reality of disobedience can be if not willing to follow you in truth and righteous of true worship. In Jesus precious name, Amen.
