Luke 12:49-53 KJV
(49) I am come to send fire on the earth; and what will I, if it be already kindled?
(50) But I have a baptism to be baptized with; and how am I straitened till it be accomplished!
(51) Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division:
(52) For from henceforth there shall be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three.
(53) The father shall be divided against the son, and the son against the father; the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother; the mother in law against her daughter in law, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.

There no way to bring division in a house any quicker then a deck of cards can over who will sin, or who the better player is. Yet it happens in the kitchen over whether to put something in a dish or to leave it out. You know that favorite dish with those hot peppers cooked slowly over the heat in a pot of chili, or to leave peppers out and add them later because someone does not like hot peppers. Does not taste the same cooked over time, nor is it the same if left out. Yet putting in pot to itself and cooking for a little while will help only if you had chili to the peppers. Add those hot peppers and you know the cost of having a quiet meal with family.

When one adds Jesus to one’s life it causes division to those that are in opposition to the ways of God. Opposition to the truth of God’s word despite if they understand the truth of God’s word. It is still a choice to follow Jesus or not. Yet in one’s home that division might be greater then you think, and at the same time, the love God is able to shine bright in one believer to testify of the power of God to those in opposition. It is nicer when the unbelievers are out numbered but that not always the case. If it is not the case do not fear because Christ lives within you to give you the ability to fight the enemy. Do what you know is right in the eyes of God despite everyone else.

Time of Egypt some of Egyptians seen the power of God and as opportunity to choose between following the instructions God that Moses gave through each plague for protection, then the choice came to obey or disobey. Opposition came to Pharaoh of Egypt just like opposition to families when a believer walks among the heathen. You want to see the power of God move in your life walk among the heathen as God directs.

Dear Heavenly Father bring your power upon your people to be witnesses to those around them. Lord may your glory shine bright despite the division brought by your Word of truth against evil ways of man. In Jesus precious name, Amen.
