Thanksgivings Countdown 25 Days: Thank God For The Value God Sees In His Junk Pile
11/23/2021

Daily Devotions:
by Christina Farris

Luke 15:8-10 KJV
8 Either what woman having ten pieces of silver, if she lose one piece, doth not light a candle, and sweep the house, and seek diligently till she find it?
9 And when she hath found it, she calleth her friends and her neighbours together, saying, Rejoice with me; for I have found the piece which I had lost.
10 Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.

There several things to note today about three verse concerning one lost coin. One lost coin is the same as all the other nine. It is a piece of silver. One piece was equal in value as the nine that were found. Days are growing short where a person can walk through a parking lot and find at least a penny that fallen from someone pocket, purse or hand. Yet the reason the person left it behind is a good question. I even seen twenty dollar bills lost in parking lots with no owner around it.

We have to ask what value did this one coin have to this woman, that she bothered with lighting a candle and pulling out her broom just to find it and put it with the rest. She did not stop until she did find it. Perhaps upon finding it she began to polish it with her tears. Perhaps it was the money to pay a bill or debit she owed. Whatever the reason the silver was to be used for it was just as precious to keep in one location to be able to find it more readily again. She went and told her neighbors she found the lost piece of silver. I have to ask who go tell their neighbor about money found unless it was a huge lottery winning. would your neighbor today rejoice with you or would they try and find a way to take it from you? No these were neighbors that were happy for her and would rejoice with her because the coin she lost was found.

Each sinner in God's eyes has the same value. A vessel made for destruction that is worth saving. We are the pile of junk outside the garden that only God can see the value in the junk pile. A junk pile when reshaped has value. Everyone needs either a room or a place to pile junk, for the sole purpose of recycling it later for something else. Sometimes with the question of what is this, why do I have it and what was it connected to before, and now has no value until I find a use for it. Adam and Eve had value outside the garden. Eve would still be the mother of all creation. God still seen value in Adam and Eve as procreators and people to care for his creation. He still seen value in Adam as tending to the garden outside Eden. Yet when he brings man back to heaven the value has increased, because man wants to be there because he desires to obey God, follow God and live for God.

There is no enmity in heaven between man and God. In fact God provided a way for enmity to be destroy in a person's life, first through sacrifice and then through Christ dying on the cross for our sins. We may be to some junk on earth, but he shaping us into masterpieces while we are on earth. Our value all the same and yet when Christ comes into our heart we begin to see something more our value changed to your worthy piece of reshapen junk to be used in God's kingdom for his glory. Is not our junk pile and can we see a value or a purpose for it, does it not have value to us, well the devil see that same value in the junk pile. If you collect plastic containers for storage, you find at some point you have to many, but dare throw one away, that can be used when you find something to put in it.

Now think for a moment how God takes us home only to rejoice over us, just as we rejoice over a masterpiece of our creation over a piece that once was consider junk. Straighten your shelves with plastic containers so everything looks neat and tighty and see how you feel about it. Someone might have a glass of wine or go out for dinner to celebrate, or just relax staring at the hard work.

Woman did one more thing she searched for that silver. God tosses Adam and Eve in the junk pile only to go searching for their offspring, who will hear his voice, listen and obey. Adam and Eve would face death, but would they face a resurrection? Did they understand about a potential resurrection, we do not know for sure because there no resurrection verse depicted in the garden, yet we know Cain was cast out of God's sight. Where was God not in the garden, he was with Adam and Eve in their world. Did God go chasing after Cain's kids, perhaps because Lamech worried about what would happen to him because he had killed too. The repented heart and fear of separation from God. A guilt applied. There are question in the Old Testament that once knowing the New Testament story leaves you with what did the ancients understand, and what would unfold in their life as far as hope. There hints in scripture God desired each generation to know him and His power, whether they worshipped him or not. We have to receive that God not leaving one person behind that desired to believe and obey his word.

God's word already declares you are special to him, but are you willing to believe and follow? Or are you willing in your future to be cast out of God's sight as Cain was with his refusal to yield to the Holy Spirit that spoke to him about not only his sacrifice but the sin he was fixing to do?

The woman with ten coins lost one coin, but she deemed it valuable to search for it. She need a light to help her find it and a broom. God uses his word and the broom to locate his child. We search of truth, but darkness is around us, but the word lights our path to God. And that same light also allows God to see us as one of his in the darken world. Are we not sealed by the promise of the Holy Spirit, do we have to come to the light of the word that we need to receive Christ as Savior, who is the light of the world.

Those ten coins reunited by the woman's searching. The money value increased with the finding of the silver. After all the value of one coin is only one coin, the value of ten is greater. The church world you are a great price to the Lord, if you seals with his mark, so praise the Lord, when one comes back to the Lord, when one gets saved, When one is found. Rejoice that God came searching for his children. For his junk, he deemed worthy to keep outside of paradise.

Dear Heavenly Father, we maybe your junk pile, but you see us worthy to be kept, cared for and made into a new creation. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

Continual Scripture Study: Matthew 10:29-31 KJV
29 Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father.
30 But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.
31 Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows.

Genesis 3:20-24 KJV
20 And Adam called his wife's name Eve; because she was the mother of all living.
21 Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them.
22 And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:
23 Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken.
24 So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.

2 Corinthians 5:17-21 KJV
17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.
21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
