Earings We Wear As Believers

Daily Devotions:
by Christina Farris

Proverbs 25:1-28 KJV
1 These are also proverbs of Solomon, which the men of Hezekiah king of Judah copied out.
2 It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter.
3 The heaven for height, and the earth for depth, and the heart of kings is unsearchable.
4 Take away the dross from the silver, and there shall come forth a vessel for the finer.
5 Take away the wicked from before the king, and his throne shall be established in righteousness.
6 Put not forth thyself in the presence of the king, and stand not in the place of great men:
7 For better it is that it be said unto thee, Come up hither; than that thou shouldest be put lower in the presence of the prince whom thine eyes have seen.

The kings heart unsearchable, is the response of God on man, that they can not see the heart of man. God searches the heart. The kings action and what he does is seen by the world. Solomon is talking in verse seven of seeing Jesus the prince of peace. To bring shame to the prince of peace or to be put down in the presence of the prince and be judged. Solomon was judged even before his death and even before his reign was even over, and seen the Prince of peace. Christ being seen before his birth and after his death and resurrection. This what Solomon truely saw was not a mere Son of God but he seen salvation through and by the word of God. The word comes to pass. We need remember God is God Is love, Spirit, and so his Spirit produces his word coming to be. No doubt Solomon seen this in his life and the lives others. His heart was open to hearing because of what God wisdom showed him. Anything offset of the Father, like love, hope and peace, would be a prince of God's Spirit. Now with this in mind, Did Solomon see the form of Christ in the flesh, born from the Word of God, just like light became in the beginning of creation, perhaps, for Christ was before he became human flesh. He understood he was put low in the present of the Prince of God. His salvation was God's word, but he seen the physical being of salvation. Yet it not recorded in the Book of Chronicles or the Book of Kings, which tells the story of King Solomon. He seen the reality of God. He seen a heart to large to be searched out by man. Yet the heart of many kings could not be searched through either, something only seen by God. Solomon seen the size of the heart of God, and could not search out his love or the deepth or heighth of it. Romans 8:39 says "Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Was Paul not quoting a little of Solomon. Yet it more then what we can understand as humans. Our heart often fails us, but God's heart is bigger then ours.

8 Go not forth hastily to strive, lest thou know not what to do in the end thereof, when thy neighbour hath put thee to shame.
9 Debate thy cause with thy neighbour himself; and discover not a secret to another:
10 Lest he that heareth it put thee to shame, and thine infamy turn not away.
11 A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in pictures of silver.
12 As an earring of gold, and an ornament of fine gold, so is a wise reprover upon an obedient ear.

The shame that neighbors carry of another neighbor. That secret only neighbors know and it spread like a wildfire to others. To think of the one to use it to put the person to shame, not understanding he to can be put to shame probably by the neighbor that told him, but it more then that. The things one wants others to hear is the good works and not evil, or bad things. God hears when we obey him. God considers those that keep his commandsmnets the apply of his eye, or sees them as apples of gold placed in silver. God is ornament to our ears and ornament of gold. We display the works of God by our actions of obedience of His word. None of us always obey or are worthy of the gold of wisdom that is display that is of God. Yet God allows us to where his fruit as if we are worthy of it. The fruits of the HOly Spirit pouring out of our life as his children.

Many wear fake jewelry of faith, but have not know God. The fakery of good works, love, giving away without regret. Yet they know not the love of God, some aspect of their life is with out faith and their works without faith is dead.

13 As the cold of snow in the time of harvest, so is a faithful messenger to them that send him: for he refresheth the soul of his masters.
14 Whoso boasteth himself of a false gift is like clouds and wind without rain.
15 By long forbearing is a prince persuaded, and a soft tongue breaketh the bone.
16 Hast thou found honey? eat so much as is sufficient for thee, lest thou be filled therewith, and vomit it.

Cold snow kills a crop before harvest, if it straw or hay it still eatable tot he cows and horses, but other things die with the first frost, let alone the first snow. Those that make through the frost will not make it through the snow. One has to hurry gather what the snow killed for it to be even useable, it like stick vegetables in refrigeration. A large farm crop can not be perserved without the modern technology and small crop with fresh snow better be gather before the snow is melted. A messenger going to a king better hurry if he is to refresh the soul of the king. A messenger bring hope and not war news hopefully, a messenger to tell the going of details of events of his kingdom.

Every had to much sweets and lost your desert. Well to much sugar or sweet can cause one to throw up, but guess what he who only takes his portion will not get sick. For example the manna in the wilderness portion only for daily needs, yet those who gather more learned their lesson that it would spoil. God's word in abundance is healthy, but more then a portion can be wasteful. What does that mean we can study the word of God daily, but some point we got to use what we learn or we become no earthly good.

17 Withdraw thy foot from thy neighbour's house; lest he be weary of thee, and so hate thee.
18 A man that beareth false witness against his neighbour is a maul, and a sword, and a sharp arrow.
19 Confidence in an unfaithful man in time of trouble is like a broken tooth, and a foot out of joint.
20 As he that taketh away a garment in cold weather, and as vinegar upon nitre, so is he that singeth songs to an heavy heart.
21 If thine enemy be hungry, give him bread to eat; and if he be thirsty, give him water to drink:
22 For thou shalt heap coals of fire upon his head, and the LORD shall reward thee.
23 The north wind driveth away rain: so doth an angry countenance a backbiting tongue.
24 It is better to dwell in the corner of the housetop, than with a brawling woman and in a wide house.

Consider this if you cruel to enemy you can not show the love of God and hope for God to change the enemy for good. Can you feed someone that is hungry and can you give him bread to eat, and if he thirsty will you give him water to drink. To be kind is maybe the hardest thing you can do as a believer especially when you see the sword in hand. But when you do it heaps coals of fire on their head. God's word also says to pray for your enemy and for those that persecute you. It is the hardest thing to do, when you feel trapped by their swords and weapons that are meant to cause one's destruction.

25 As cold waters to a thirsty soul, so is good news from a far country.
26 A righteous man falling down before the wicked is as a troubled fountain, and a corrupt spring.
27 It is not good to eat much honey: so for men to search their own glory is not glory.
28 He that hath no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and without walls.

Many are thirsty for good news from family and loved ones, and in our world today by social media it is possible to hear from others every day. Some would say that almost to much, because you can not savor the visits as much, but if they are love ones every moment should be important.

Those that seek to boast their greatness is not greatness or glory. It is seeking your own righteousness and not the righteousness of God. I can relate to that, because we all want to have someone say good job, but that work we do truly belongs to God.

Dear Heavenly Father, give us grace we need daily and the word you need to speak to our hearts in daily supply, not in abundance necessarily but what we need to be able to use daily. That your word will speak volumes to others in our lives. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

Continual Scripture Study: Romans 8:35-39 KJV
35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
