Application Knowledge 05/22/2021
Daily Devotions: by Christina FarrisProverbs 22:1-29 KJV
A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches, and loving favour rather than silver and gold.
The rich and poor meet together: the LORD is the maker of them all.
A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself: but the simple pass on, and are punished.
By humility and the fear of the LORD are riches, and honour, and life.
Thorns and snares are in the way of the froward: he that doth keep his soul shall be far from them.
Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
One of the greatest attraction to the rich person is when they care about being chosen or picked out not because of their wealth or position, but because they are valuable as a person, and not their money or position. I agree most people want to be like because of themselves and not by who they are necessarily. When the rich and poor assemble before the Lord, because he is their Maker. When people worship God it should not be because they are rich or because they have not and are in need, it should be to worship God. Train a child in the way he should go and he will not depart from it, train a child in the ways of God and in old age he will not turn from it, the reason being is that the child see scripture in the things of the world. You teach them scripture even if they hear other views, they will know God of the Bible laws are real.
The rich ruleth over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender.
He that soweth iniquity shall reap vanity: and the rod of his anger shall fail.
He that hath a bountiful eye shall be blessed; for he giveth of his bread to the poor.
Cast out the scorner, and contention shall go out; yea, strife and reproach shall cease.
He that loveth pureness of heart, for the grace of his lips the king shall be his friend.
The eyes of the LORD preserve knowledge, and he overthroweth the words of the transgressor.
The slothful man saith, There is a lion without, I shall be slain in the streets.
The mouth of strange women is a deep pit: he that is abhorred of the LORD shall fall therein.
Foolishness is bound in the heart of a child; but the rod of correction shall drive it far from him.
The rich do rule over the poor, ever seen a poor ruler. No but there been many poor missionaries and care givers that do get notice by rich people and they want to lend a hand. Those people that have the ability to produce more money, to gain money are those that give even their bread to the poor to eat. He that loveth pureness of heart, the king(God) will be his friend. See pureness of heart is that simplicity that God loves in his people, that purity of the heart. Repeat of the whorish woman, the woman not being wisdom, a man that does not like God's instruction will fall into the pit of the whoredom. A child that mischief is not beyond correction, for correction will keep a child from trouble, if he learns and understands why the correction of that mischief, he hopefully will follow and obey the Lord instruction.
He that oppresseth the poor to increase his riches, and he that giveth to the rich, shall surely come to want.
Bow down thine ear, and hear the words of the wise, and apply thine heart unto my knowledge.
For it is a pleasant thing if thou keep them within thee; they shall withal be fitted in thy lips.
That thy trust may be in the LORD, I have made known to thee this day, even to thee.
Have not I written to thee excellent things in counsels and knowledge,
That I might make thee know the certainty of the words of truth; that thou mightest answer the words of truth to them that send unto thee?
Rob not the poor, because he is poor: neither oppress the afflicted in the gate:
For the LORD will plead their cause, and spoil the soul of those that spoiled them.
Make no friendship with an angry man; and with a furious man thou shalt not go:
Lest thou learn his ways, and get a snare to thy soul.
Be not thou one of them that strike hands, or of them that are sureties for debts.
If thou hast nothing to pay, why should he take away thy bed from under thee?
Remove not the ancient landmark, which thy fathers have set.
Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men.
The truth of the matter is Solomon is writting and in the counsels and knowledge of the Lord. What he saying God gave him the wisdom of rich and the poor but also about instruction to God's children, for they will hear and obey the truth. We see a man overwhelmed by God words of wisdom, knowledge and understanding in the matters of righteous living. Yet these words of wisdom is Old and New Testament, before and after the time of Solomon. These words of wisdom can be found within the law if one studies these things, as well as Christ teaching. If one is faithful in business he will not stand before mean men, but he will stand before the king. King Solomon faithful in spreading God's wisdom would stand before his maker. Yet he was already standing in the presence of God with the wisdom he wrote down. He was standing maybe ever hearing, but not fully grasping the application to his own life. It is the application to our life once taught that keeps us from departing from the ways of the Lord, if we have faith in him. God's word is a lamp unto our feet. The knowledge of the world of riches and the world of poverty, to the world of worshipping God and God's divine intervention in the matters and judgments of his laws for all people. Rich and poor matters not his word divides those of faith and those of no faith from him.
Dear Heavenly Father, when you speak to our hearts, helps to understand and give us wisdom to learn your ways and application to our very life. in Jesus precious name, Amen.

Accept, I beseech thee, the freewill offerings of my mouth, O LORD, and teach me thy judgments.
My soul is continually in my hand: yet do I not forget thy law.
The wicked have laid a snare for me: yet I erred not from thy precepts.
Thy testimonies have I taken as an heritage for ever: for they are the rejoicing of my heart.
I have inclined mine heart to perform thy statutes alway, even unto the end.
SAMECH. I hate vain thoughts: but thy law do I love.
