Wisdom On How To Build 05/14/2021
Daily Devotions: by Christina FarrisProverbs 14:1-35 KJV
1 Every wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands.
2 He that walketh in his uprightness feareth the LORD: but he that is perverse in his ways despiseth him.
3 In the mouth of the foolish is a rod of pride: but the lips of the wise shall preserve them.
4 Where no oxen are, the crib is clean: but much increase is by the strength of the ox.
No one wants to think about stratedgy late night, or how to assemble a house from scratch. However every woman builds her house and lays the ground work of the foundation of her home on chief cornerstone who is Jesus and other ladies foundation that are not even built on the principals of God. The home foundation stone should be Jesus, but the hearth, the furniturings are built on the principals and instructions of faith in God. Now one might look at this woman not only as wisdom but also as the church, building first on the foundation of Jesus and the wisdom of faith builted and founded on the word of God. The woman that builds not on a solid foundation of God's word might has well be said to be tearing her home apart or not even building in a way that will be stable or even wise. A woman cleaning out the stalls having no cow only take a minute to clean, but one with oxen might have alot of work, but the ox adds strength to the work of a field or to a heavy load. The husband in the ox, a strong man, able to carry the work of the home with the wife. Yet he is mess at times.
5 A faithful witness will not lie: but a false witness will utter lies.
6 A scorner seeketh wisdom, and findeth it not: but knowledge is easy unto him that understandeth.
7 Go from the presence of a foolish man, when thou perceivest not in him the lips of knowledge.
8 The wisdom of the prudent is to understand his way: but the folly of fools is deceit.
9 Fools make a mock at sin: but among the righteous there is favour.
A false witness is a liar, but a faithful witness will not lie. One that has faith that truth will over come. It does not mean truth will not be trampled upon by the wicked. Someone that does not really want wisdom might seek it but not understand the knowledge of wisdom given or that is front of them. If a person does not like the wisdom given, the knowlegde of it and why it is right can not be perceived. Leave the chaos of fools when they can not perceive the truth of a matter. Fools just don't understand why something are sin, so they mock at it. The righteous fine favor with God, because God delights in first our faith and our turning away from sin and following his wisdom and instruction.
10 The heart knoweth his own bitterness; and a stranger doth not intermeddle with his joy.
11 The house of the wicked shall be overthrown: but the tabernacle of the upright shall flourish.
12 There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.
13 Even in laughter the heart is sorrowful; and the end of that mirth is heaviness.
14 The backslider in heart shall be filled with his own ways: and a good man shall be satisfied from himself.
Something about the heart and soul of a person, that no one else changes but God. The bitterness can be covered by a smile, but the bitterness is rooted to the heart just like joy of the soul is deep within a person and can not be interupted by a stranger. Talking of the heart, the wicked, the sinful ways of a person that repents can be forever changed. Our heart being the throne of God, a tabernacle within the heart of man, once one recieve Christ it can not be overthrown, but until that time man's heart is wicked only desiring the goodness of God, once we invite Christ in, the wickedness of our life is swept away.
15 The simple believeth every word: but the prudent man looketh well to his going.
16 A wise man feareth, and departeth from evil: but the fool rageth, and is confident.
17 He that is soon angry dealeth foolishly: and a man of wicked devices is hated.
18 The simple inherit folly: but the prudent are crowned with knowledge.
19 The evil bow before the good; and the wicked at the gates of the righteous.
20 The poor is hated even of his own neighbour: but the rich hath many friends.
21 He that despiseth his neighbour sinneth: but he that hath mercy on the poor, happy is he.
22 Do they not err that devise evil? but mercy and truth shall be to them that devise good.
23 In all labour there is profit: but the talk of the lips tendeth only to penury.
A young believer or one that simple just believes every word spoken, never given though to the deeper meaning of what is truly said or whether something is partially true or always true. God's word is always true, though we have to look deeper into what God truly says. God's word is the same from beginning to end. Yet we have to look at judgment and we find mercy and grace to all that repent and follow in the ways of righteousness. We know that believers can land up in exile with their nation, but it does not mean God's not with them. We can understand believers can go through storms, but it does not mean God can not take a person through or deliver them from the storm.
The wicked man seeks for his own device and his own direction, never seeking God or godly ways. I sure when Adam and Eve put on fig leaves they thought they look pretty good. Then they hid from God when they heard him coming. He was already there, but he was pronouncing himself to make them aware of his presence. Sometimes we fail to see God because he does not make his presence known, and he watches us like we might Youtube, only to discover we not ready to be scene, because we not capable of understanding that our fig leaves are not the same at the fur coat God will make for us. He prepare us for our future even in our sin. He loves enough to care for and provide our needs despite our short coming. God's way is always best, but we are trying to make things on our own to last. We plan a home, we plan the work we will do with our hands, only for these to dissolve through storms in our life. The ant goes about building his home, saving provision needed, but it can be gone in a matter of moments with the right ant spray. Funny thing about ants, wants you get ants they are hard to get rid of, but not impossible. God perhaps sees people creating and building things from their own hands, without his design an without him in mind at all. He even designed the temple of Israel, he design Noah an Ark. How we build must be build on the plans of God, if we want it to last. Those things built in heaven and earth will be destroyed. Those that believe God and trust in Jesus will not be destroyed.
24 The crown of the wise is their riches: but the foolishness of fools is folly.
25 A true witness delivereth souls: but a deceitful witness speaketh lies.
26 In the fear of the LORD is strong confidence: and his children shall have a place of refuge.
27 The fear of the LORD is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death.
28 In the multitude of people is the king's honour: but in the want of people is the destruction of the prince.
What is what we want destruction to a prince. Well in Bible days what the people wanted it might not be in the plans of the prince. It could cause even death of the king and prince of the land, if a group of people wanted to over throw. Our nation is built on fundamental rights of human life, but when our desires go against of these inalienable rights we fine destruction of our country being defined. The minute 911 happened, the minute the people committed insurrection against Congress it became a battle ground of our human rights, or where they trying in their own mind to protect our rights and freedom? 911 was pure terrorism. The insurrection could of been worse, but it was not it was people speaking up saying they disagree with what they are hearing on the streets, news media and so forth about election of our nation President. The right to bear arms in often on the tables of Congress to be taken from our country. Some guns I agree should not be in our streets, the fear of not being able to protect ourselves should never been in our heart or mind. You do not need weapons in this day in age to feel terror from our government. Yet we have to ask, is our leaders blind to what is happening in our nation. Do they validate our concerns, our experience and the truth of the matter. If so then are they striving to change to protect even our rights and freedoms?
God sent Adam and Eve away and said you can practice your freedom here, and even gave them protection from the elements of season changing. It be like people being left on the moon or Mars with only the basics to survive not knowing if they could. A space shuttle dropping supplies every so many days to make sure they do not starve in the harsh elements of a new world. Some loving the idea and other cringing at the very thought of a place without running water, toilets and toilet paper on demand. A world with out Ipads and Ipods at their finger tips, a station of radio equipment that may not work if the batteries are low. However because these people wanted a challenge they leave for a new planet or future home with only what can be carried in a backpack and landgear that can be changed into shelter or help in production of water.
I think what our nation is saying if you do not like our laws go home, if you do not like our laws find a new home and stay, stop trying to take our freedoms and rights away. To God the world said we make a tower to you only to find our own communication at a loss by your design, read Genesis 11.
The wickedness of man's design not understanding God already in charge and will provide all you got to do is speak to him and he will answer by and by. Just like nation, God's laws must apply to all and not just a few individuals. Our freedom, our life and our liberty rest on the laws of our country, or does it rest on the principals and foundation of Christ Jesus. OUr nation was built on the laws of love.
29 He that is slow to wrath is of great understanding: but he that is hasty of spirit exalteth folly.
30 A sound heart is the life of the flesh: but envy the rottenness of the bones.
31 He that oppresseth the poor reproacheth his Maker: but he that honoureth him hath mercy on the poor.
32 The wicked is driven away in his wickedness: but the righteous hath hope in his death.
33 Wisdom resteth in the heart of him that hath understanding: but that which is in the midst of fools is made known.
34 Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.
35 The king's favour is toward a wise servant: but his wrath is against him that causeth shame.
Those that cause shame to a king, fails to be a wise servant. Do we fail to be wise toward our government that they are ashamed?? The question how do they value the poor. How do they value people lives who strive to work or try to go back to work. Wisdom is to rest in God to rest in his mercy and strive for a better life on earth using the tools before us, building with Christ as the foundation stone. Is what we do and say built on the foundation of God. When you have a trying week it not unusual to be mad, angry and even a little unrational, but to remain in that state is neither health or beneficial. God is listening to mankind who will worship him, obey him and does not want him for a magic genie.
Dear Heavenly Father, you know the wickedness of the greed of the heart of man, but to your children you love and you provide the fur coats needed for our journey, because of our sin. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.
13 Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying.
14 But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.
