Can you be content to follow Christ and have enemies of your family. Can you follow the ways of Christ and not the ways of the world. God wants to break the chains of the enemy within your family. It is chains taught by the world and is not of God. It is the chains that often rule the family, and not the rules of faith. Can you go against the grain of what your suppose to do because you are born into a particular family. Born of natural talent to serve in capacity of work, or simply living. Can you leave the Ghetto in quest of work and schooling. Can you pull yourself from the inner city to gain hope to help another. Can you leave your family and follow after God even when they are in disagreement with you. I can not help wondering what kind of problems did Abraham and his nephew Lot have when they left their home to go to the promise land. Even Jacob had trouble taking his wives from their father Laban. Laban did not want them to go, yet he could find no fault with his son in-law. Jacob had to sneak off to leave.

Ruth left her home never looking back to her biological family if any were living. Moses left Egypt out fear, and Joseph went into captivity because of family and came out a hero as a ruler of the grain and food storage. Controversy in a family is normal what is not normal is pain of controversy of those you truly love.

Yet what it boils down to did you follow God and were those family members godly people by faith or legalism. If by legalism their interest is not based on faith but on tradition. It the tradition of taking care of the family. What does it mean, but tradition some times conflicts with the ways of God. Sometimes family conflict with God’s call on one’s life. See your family knows you inside out and those you spend time with only know you for how your represent yourself.

The family battle of different beliefs can also be in conflict and so it is with accepting Christ the conflict of beliefs within a family become realized. People of faith in conflict of the government faith is often in the battle lines. Johnson religious law got overturn by the senate and the President yesterday. Back in the seventies a religious law came into effect affecting free speech in churches. This law been done away with. Has this law caused conflict in our nation. Has restriction caused issues. I do not know enough about it, but it also dealing with tax laws. However because it a recent it be filtering across America soon enough to everyone that wants to know about I am sure. If not go to the whitehouse, youtube or news stations and hunt for it. I can not help think did this bill get passed only during Johnson day, or was it in on the floor when Nixon was in office. Have not had the time to research it.

Any conflict caused by government and our families is often brought because of option to faith. Get one right wing of any group in option to Christianity, or any other religious group there can be conflict. That is why separation of church and state laws need to be enforced and honored. Respecting others right even option. Families of different faith should at the minimum be able to share a meal. Even if on or the other group can not eat certain dishes. People do not stop loving people. And hate or resentment only brings about heartbreak in families. Did Christ want to bring disagreements in family, of course not, but he knew he would, because people of faith in his day were persecuted and would be persecuted after his death and resurrection. He knew the conflicts were just going to get heated, because of traditions too.

Faith needs to be about love and not destruction. Faith is something that is personal choice. Faith is something to hold dear. To follow Christ is to follow in love and obedience to Him. Teaching love, faith and hope. We are selves are not God, but we are children and servants of God and Christ Jesus. Following after the word of God in discipline of faith, freedom of faith and hope. Remember scripture says the wolf will live with the lamb and child with play over snake hole.

Dear Heavenly Father give hope to your children of the time coming where conflict in families because of faith will not be. In Jesus precious name, Amen.
