Every Sunday A Psalms: Born There
05/22/2016

Daily Devotions: by Christina Farris

Psalms 87:1-7 KJV
(1) A Psalm or Song for the sons of Korah. His foundation is in the holy mountains.
(2) The LORD loveth the gates of Zion more than all the dwellings of Jacob.
(3) Glorious things are spoken of thee, O city of God. Selah.
(4) I will make mention of Rahab and Babylon to them that know me: behold Philistia, and Tyre, with Ethiopia; this man was born there.
(5) And of Zion it shall be said, This and that man was born in her: and the highest himself shall establish her.
(6) The LORD shall count, when he writeth up the people, that this man was born there. Selah.
(7) As well the singers as the players on instruments shall be there: all my springs are in thee.

The Gentile church born all over the world, is a church with destination to heavens gate, but also a fostering into Jerusalem. One of the hardest things of any foster kid in never belonging truly to the parents that raise them. Though some are raised as sons and daughters they never fully feel they belong. They run into problems of not belonging when they reach adulthood if a family has not adopted them at least in love and perhaps in the legal sense as well. Israel born in a foreign land had immediate ties to Jerusalem, but the Gentiles born of God whether inside of Jerusalem or else where had to be foster or adopted in. Only being born by the Spirit of God. Jerusalem personally might reject those born of God’s Spirit for a time, yet sooner or later they realize this gentile nation is the promise heirs to come of Jerusalem. The ushering in of the Gentile nation born not by biological ties to the land of Jerusalem but spiritual ties. Then you have the Jews born of God not knowing the promise of a Savior but born of spiritual birth of faith in God, there ignorance is not knowing Jesus, because they never been taught.

Moses was born in Rahab/Egypt but was only Israelite by birth. Moses disobedience kept Moses outside the promise land, and yet he believed in God. He was not to God, but believer by faith in God, just not receiving the earthly inheritance that belong to all of Israel, the precious promise land.

Moses a true Israelite by faith in God found no home among the Israelites. Moses face did shine bright after talking to God that He had to cover his face from Israel. Israel was scared of Moses but not the laws given. It was easier to obey a bunch of rules then deal with God in their opinion. The laws were what does God expect and can I do that. Moses had a relationship with God and after forty some years in the wilderness the people finally wanted what Moses had for themselves. Yet it would take forty years for them to be prepared to enter into the promise land.

Israel natural born citizens of bloodline to Israel whether born in Egypt, Babylon and so forth. Yet the very people they witness to would want that faith as well. Ruth born of Moabite people yet she desire to be part of Israel and would even marry another Israelite. 27 years ago I married a man from the area I live in. Yet I call this home, but I am not born of here. The place where I was born, I know little about. Yet if I moved to my birthplace I have to learn a new culture even though it is in the same state. The reason being one is huge area now compared to where I live now. Government wise they are the same, but the life is faster pace. Though I lived in another state during my life time, one thing I can claim is being an American because I lived in this land. Yet I am Christian by spiritual birth. Attended many different churches in my life time, but Christ is the Only Savior I know for it is God’s salvation plan for man. God desires to reconnect by spiritual rebirth, not by a piece of land, though it is nice to think of a physical home place here on earth, it is only temporal. Israel is the land of God because Jesus was born there. Jesus was not only the Promise land but the promise redeemer would be born there. A promise redeemer for all mankind.

America like many European nations have many nationalities living inside their land but not all have people from all nation born it. Perhaps America like other nation having many kindred and tongue living inside it wonder sometime what nation are we living in. One goes to Washington DC and find many people from around the world. This is becoming more and more true of smaller areas in states across America. As change takes place one has to ask is America and Europe and other countries loosing a piece of themselves, the answer is only if it effects our laws.

Israel’s laws would not be changed and so the heathen world around them would change them for them. Yet the spiritual laws of faith remained. That same faith Abraham had and Noah. Faith that Moses had outside the promise land. Faith believing what God speaks to the human heart. Faith believing His word. Salvation coming by the cross through prophesy, but also to the human heart by faith in Jesus. Jesus came to unite all nations unto Himself. As a Gentile are you united to Israel because of faith or stuck in unbelief.

Dear Heavenly Father mark those of your people by your Spirit as a testimony to the world. May your people walk as Moses did before Israel and Israel to the gentiles, and the gentiles to Israel. Let every kindred tongue that believe testify of you to the heathens. In Jesus precious name, Amen.
