The Revenge Of God
05/02/2016

Daily Devotions: by Christina Farris

1 Kings 21:12-21 KJV
(12) They proclaimed a fast, and set Naboth on high among the people.
(13) And there came in two men, children of Belial, and sat before him: and the men of Belial witnessed against him, even against Naboth, in the presence of the people, saying, Naboth did blaspheme God and the king. Then they carried him forth out of the city, and stoned him with stones, that he died.
(14) Then they sent to Jezebel, saying, Naboth is stoned, and is dead.
(15) And it came to pass, when Jezebel heard that Naboth was stoned, and was dead, that Jezebel said to Ahab, Arise, take possession of the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite, which he refused to give thee for money: for Naboth is not alive, but dead.
(16) And it came to pass, when Ahab heard that Naboth was dead, that Ahab rose up to go down to the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite, to take possession of it.
(17) And the word of the LORD came to Elijah the Tishbite, saying,
(18) Arise, go down to meet Ahab king of Israel, which is in Samaria: behold, he is in the vineyard of Naboth, whither he is gone down to possess it.
(19) And thou shalt speak unto him, saying, Thus saith the LORD, Hast thou killed, and also taken possession? And thou shalt speak unto him, saying, Thus saith the LORD, In the place where dogs licked the blood of Naboth shall dogs lick thy blood, even thine.
(20) And Ahab said to Elijah, Hast thou found me, O mine enemy? And he answered, I have found thee: because thou hast sold thyself to work evil in the sight of the LORD.
(21) Behold, I will bring evil upon thee, and will take away thy posterity, and will cut off from Ahab him that pisseth against the wall, and him that is shut up and left in Israel,

1 Kings 22:37-39 KJV
(37) So the king died, and was brought to Samaria; and they buried the king in Samaria.
(38) And one washed the chariot in the pool of Samaria; and the dogs licked up his blood; and they washed his armour; according unto the word of the LORD which he spake.
(39) Now the rest of the acts of Ahab, and all that he did, and the ivory house which he made, and all the cities that he built, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?

The revenge of God is a strange event to behold. The prophesy seeming almost ill fit at times meaning if warring with the enemy and one side stronger then another then of course it could happen as the prophet said. It is when the army is notable stronger then the enemy and the odds are placed on the most likely to win, because of brawn and not knowledge, makes God‘s word more clear when the least likely achieves the victory. It when God takes the knowledge of man and crushes it with prophesy of his word not with probability of losing or winning. Prophesy proving the outcome of the battle being of the Lord’s word. When the very least of the very simple case scenario of war is forecasted by the word of God, does it have psychological impact. Ahab believed in God but his life did not reflect the ways of God, neither did his wife Jezebel. For the battle against Syria, Ahab was forecasted to loose was told by Elijah. Did the troops know it. Had the psychological warfare been played against the men of Israel. This type of warfare would not benefit Elijah being of the tribe of Israel. No matter how good or bad a king was it would not benefit a person to speak out against a king. Yet if one spoke out against a king I am sure it for a God give purpose. God was going to deliver Israel from a wicked king. Did the moral of the troops fad when they heard God was not with them in this battle or did they fight just as hard. I know if I believe God and he said the battle not in my favor I probably just hold up a flag. for surrender. Ahab did not repent at the prophesy of Elijah, who declaration of destruction coming to him, because his wife plot against a righteous man to steal his vineyard, that he refused to sell.

If anyone seen the revenge of God in the world today, they know God’s power still reigns. Yet one has to ask what was the advantage of psychological warfare. What was the power of it, if the king believed he would not die. Prophesy from God was true, but there are many cases that can be duplicated. No soldier goes into battle to loose. If he did he might as well go home. No use having him fight even if they agreed not with their king. I throw out psychological effects on this warfare. Yet witchdoctors and people of the devil has used these games to try and control people for years, even sneaking in behind them trying to cause events to happen. Example of two lying witness of Belial in the story above that caused men of the village of Naboth to stone him.

Prophesy by knowledge is not of God, prophesy spoken to the heart of man to speak is of God. To know the difference is to know God. To see God’s revenge is a fearful thing. One either hides and another might rejoice. If you do what is right before the Lord you never have to worry about the revenge of God coming upon you. If you believe like men and women of faith who strive to do good and not cause harm to others, one has no fear. If you play the devil your life will fall in the hands of an angry God.

As Candidates prepare for battle against each other, they looking at the crowd of spectators and the type of battle batons they are waving at Trump, and saying do we want that type of man ruling our nation based on the crowd he draws. All I think is what hidden on the opposite unannounced. If one weigh Christ by who crucified him, no one would be forgiven, and no one would stand a chance of being saved, because of the judgment on the crowd. One can use influences for good or evil. One working the crowd has to understand if their agenda is different then their speech, and go against the crowd they produce, things might be short lived in office. My prayer is that our politicians speak more truth then lies, but they all lie if nothing but to protect the nation’s security at the least. Yet a lie to promote control is devilish deed. Jezebel thought she could control by the lies of two witness of Belial. Naboth died as Christ died as a innocent martyr. Naboth dying out of greed of a king and rejection of the crowd by mind control. Jesus dying because of the sin of the world rejecting Him. Naboth might have been righteous but not perfect. Yet he was known to the people who believed the lie. Belial exalted Naboth before the people only to kill him. Jesus was exalted before the crowd and week later hung on a cross. Blood of Naboth poured out for the dogs to lick the blood. Jesus blood poured out to cover our sin of those that repented and to revenge that repented not. Judas finding himself in the seat of Ahab for the cost of wealth. Ahab finding himself in the hands of angry God. Cain found that same type of revenge of God but it only cost him his spiritual life, not his earthly life. Ahab and Judas lost both earthly and spiritual life. Jesus gain his life, no he only died to set men free from guilt and shame of sin against God and Him. The reality of the blood pouring only enables us to see the need of forgiveness of sin. God covers us with Christ blood upon repentance to cleanse us from unrighteousness. To purge our hearts from sin. If I went by the crowd the day of Christ death it would be only justifiable by their traditions of Jesus exalted himself as being equal to God and allowing the crowd to declare him a king. When Christ arose he had victory over the crowd, declaring his Lordship loud and clear. Proof came with his resurrection that what Jesus said was true about who He was. Though others had risen from the grave, Lazarus being the longest, it always took the authority of Christ or the prayer of a prophet. Never had anyone ever raised themselves up from the grave until Jesus. The prophesy of Jesus realized with the resurrection that all Jesus said was true.

Today are you watching the crowd or the leader to see what they will do. Jesus said forgive them while dying, and yet with the resurrection would come eventually the judgment between the repenting person and the lost and dying because of unrepentance. Either believe the prophesy of God or let it destroy you upon your death or seeing Christ come as He forecast. Allow Christ to show you His reality.

Dear Heavenly Father move in the hearts and minds the truth of your word, that it is not psychological warfare but fact and not fiction. That your word is true and you are a revenger of sin of both the believer and non believer. The faithful that mess up face your correction with the forgiveness of sin already paid on the cross. Israel seen with Ahab the power of God’s word as we do today for those that believe the testimony of scripture. In Jesus precious name, Amen.
