The land of Seir is the mountain range between the Dead Sea and Arabia. Abraham ancestry line came from nephew Lot first daughter’s offspring. The children of Moabites and also the children of Esau (Jacob’s brother or Edomites. Moabites were the ones that at the time of Balak and Baalam, wanted to curse Israel. Edomites did not always get along with Israel either. It was also the land of Philistines and Ammonites. Those four tribes hated Israel and even cursed them. Those that do not know there Old Testament history have little clue that even Jesus lineage could be traced to the land of Moabites as well as Israel. Ruth the great grandmother of King David. This is family that is battle like the Hatfield’s and McCoy’s of our day. The warring group of against Israel. I can not help to think if all the tribes against Israel and Israel had stood against Babylon and settled their food later if they would not of won. I can not think that if judgment came first to Israel why did not the other countries fear Babylonian Empire. This war goes on today and is a feud that lasted centuries between people. What behind it is religious feud. A feud based on Idolatry and God. The war against the devil vs. God so to speak. Hatfield’s and McCoy’s understand this type of feud.

It hard to understand the feud by most, because in simply was a war that would not matter to some. In our own nation with the freedom of religion and free speech, this type of feud should never happen. Yet deal with spiritual warfare it is a battle that will rage on until the earth rejoices and Christ return’s to deliver his people and to destroy the enemy for the final time. This land of hate was going to meet destruction but not animation. God was preserving it for the day of final judgment. This tribe was a Biblical tribe in the since spoke of in the Bible, but no good thing came from this area beyond the Moabite stone and Ruth offspring. Makes one understand the palace of Israel a little more and why idolatry plagued it, though not all the kings were Idolaters. Unfortunately the family can not change their heritage. Nor could they change the fact that some would go toward Idolatry and so forth. King David Father tribe would be a true Israelite from the family line of Judah. A split of control of argument. David served God, however not all his children served God and some would even die because of sin in their life. Solomon though an Idolater cared for the people of Israel that followed God, yet it was not he history of every king or history of countries that would war against Israel.

Faith will make you crazy if you think to long and hard where all this stuff comes from and what plagued Israel and those that worshipped God. Maybe God showed mercy on these people for only one reason some did not always curse God, but did not necessarily welcome God to rule their life.

God is speaking to Ezekiel about destruction but not animation. His mercy is being shown by how they treated God’s people it would be based on how they treated his people. Though they were known for their cursing it did not making exempt from the warnings of God. God was warning the land of Seir what was going to happen. The prophesy would come to pass in hopes they too would believe.

The question is who can be saved, all those that believe in the Jesus who taught peace to all. He spoke to all people not casting them away. God’s word speaks of many tribe but only one way to heaven. It speaks of many cultures of it’s day and time and the principal of love and getting along, despite the war between groups. What had happen to Israel because of sin would also happen to the tribes not of God. Judgment comes first to God’s own and then to the people around, but even so when the end comes those without faith in God and His Son will not have eternal life. A day comes when God will judge the nation’s of the world. For now God corrects His people and the enemy through wars and shift in government.

Dear Heavenly Father thank you for reminding that you have everything in control. You desire to protect your people and for that reason I ask your divine protection in the life of your people. To guide and direct your people despite persecution, despite exile from the land. In Jesus precious name, Amen.
