Time Of Christ: When
3/18/2017

Daily Devotions: by Christina Farris

Luke 21:5-28 KJV
(5) And as some spake of the temple, how it was adorned with goodly stones and gifts, he said,
(6) As for these things which ye behold, the days will come, in the which there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.
(7) And they asked him, saying, Master, but when shall these things be? and what sign will there be when these things shall come to pass?
(8) And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them.
(9) But when ye shall hear of wars and commotions, be not terrified: for these things must first come to pass; but the end is not by and by.
(10) Then said he unto them, Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom:
(11) And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.
(12) But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my name's sake.
(13) And it shall turn to you for a testimony.
(14) Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall answer:
(15) For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.
(16) And ye shall be betrayed both by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolks, and friends; and some of you shall they cause to be put to death.
(17) And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake.
(18) But there shall not an hair of your head perish.
(19) In your patience possess ye your souls.
(20) And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh.
(21) Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto.
(22) For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.
(23) But woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck, in those days! for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people.
(24) And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.
(25) And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;
(26) Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.
(27) And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
(28) And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

If one goes with the premise that Jesus is the first and the Last and part of the Triune Godhead then the attitude of all these things can change to what will be will be according to the word of God. The time of the Gentiles before Christ and the time of the Gentiles after Christ changed. A call to repentance to the Gentiles came with the coming of Christ. A call to the gentiles came before Christ but tmany did not hear. A call after Christ resurrection was sent forth across the known world of Roman Empire. The call to the gentiles came even at the last passover as Greeks came to talk to Jesus. The call to the roman soldiers that were not Jewish. The call to those not of Israel came at the time of Jesus for John Baptist preach to the gentiles and upon his death Christ spoke to the Gentiles John minister too.

If the Jewish people are going through a time of the Gentiles it is only because the Gentiles are in power. When Israel is in power or the Jewish nation then it is the time of Jews. Some people consider President Obama Islamic though he had Christian heritage and Islamic heritage. Some people failed to see him as a Bible subscriber. God’s Holy Word has been changing lives for centuries.

The Bible speaks what will be as what has not happened. Yet the most profound prophesy would be of the Messiah. Christ did not teach anything that was not taught in the Old Testament except maybe the idea of the resurrection was more pronounced in his day. Ezekiel wrote about dead bones rising and it being army of God. Ezekiel talked of destruction and wars. Jesus taught about destruction that was coming and wars. He prophesied of the destruction of Israel once more and the time of the Gentiles would be until God redeem his people once more and they would return to Israel.

At the time of Christ a major earthquake happen as Jesus hung on the cross ripping the veil of the temple. Time of Christ the prophesy of such events were probably not even fully understood, based on the idea our mind can not handle all we see in a life time. The extraordinary events around the cross to the ushering of the Holy Spirit was phenomenal. Yet Christ had prepared his disciples to believe the entire story. Through the miracles of Jesus, to the miracles of faith of impossibility being a reality came a great resurrection of the dead and of Christ. Jesus would be the first resurrected of the New Covenant but not the last. When Christ returns the events that will come and will flow will be beyond our human understanding, and yet by the Spirit of God we will be a witness of those events as they happen. Until the great day of the Lord we must realize the events of both destruction caused by storms and wars will come as well as the rebuilding. Life goes on whether in is the happy golden years or the time of poverty and destruction.

It is the duty of each generation to teach and prepare the younger generation for both good and bad years. It is a generation that refuses to prepare the next generation that some things until the time of Christ seems beyond Biblical portion. At the time of Christ with His coming his children will meet him in the air coming up from the earth surface to the clouds in the sky. The dead not risen yet to face the judgment. God’s Spirit will prepare his people for the coming event by His Spirit. God is the prepare of the heart. He prepared Ezekiel and all the prophets to speak of the truth. Jesus was the great I Am, but what He taught was already said at this time as far as what will and won’t be before His second coming. We can not ignore these facts. For without these facts scripture changes to believe a lie. For many false prophets arise and teach the same. No one realizing the truth of the matter.

Dear Heavenly Father prepare the people’s heart for not only truth but your soon return as you call to your people to arise in faith and then later to meet you in the sky. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

(17) And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last:
(18) I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.
