What is good for one evil power is good for another. Ezekiel Book starts with the judgment on God’s people then goes to the heathen. Egypt being idolatrous nation was in trouble with God. Israel had been taken from her land and dispersed to other places. Egypt was soon to follow and Tyre was annihilated. The boat merchants even were in trouble because of not sure what to do with their merchandise any longer. The world was in chaos because of Babylon. People fleeing as well as being captured by the enemy. Egypt rising up to fight only for the kings arms to be broken and bandaged. One can not fight with their arms broke. It was a sign to Egypt of their destruction coming.

God does not play favorites when it comes to sin. Yet the faithful can rest assured in the promises of God. Can rest assured with faith comes eternal life. Always has. Faith is not belief alone but action as well. Many people receive Christ only to forget the change Christ made upon conversation of faith. Never changing beyond the first comment. Choosing Jesus as Lord and Savior is a life change not just for salvation but a new living way. A New living of following God and His will through learning to following in Christ footsteps as he served the earth in his humanity. It is a walk, it is a talk, and Christianity does not mean one is not accountable for action, it means, one is forgiven of all sin, but we have a duty to live for Jesus. No longer living as the heathens. No longer following false gods. Egypt would be taken into exile and scattered. Yet they too would return to their land just like God’s people. Was Israel any more special then Egypt or vise versa. Not when it came to punishment for sin or up rising and falling of governments.

Let us not look at ourselves so high and mighty but recognize God will arise in the heart of his people through the testifying of the truth of seeing the heathens fall too. God’s assurance he is still speaking to His people. Sweet assurance of prophesy being fulfilled.

Dear Heavenly Father let us realize your punishment is justified because it shows no exemption to people turning away from your word to follow idols of both the heathen and your people. Redemption of your love is equally for all and repentance has always been the solution to eternal salvation through your word and through Christ Jesus who is your Son and Word. In Jesus precious name, Amen.
