As women woke with a start of a chest pain the other morning, she was reminded of how quick death comes without warning. As children scream in the night because rescue squad enters there home to take a parent out, they have no understanding that it was just that person’s time to go home to God. As the newest of death sweeps across a generation that experience more life then death each death is only a reminder of how short life is. How you must make the best of the time you have on earth. Each passing day is only as long as next, but the reality is people die at work, at school, at recreation, in the night and all through the day. The hour often unknown to even the best scientist, yet those dying and know it know their time is short to put their life in order. To know the doctor can do no more for you is painful words if you feel halfway well. If in pain the words of how long do I got, and the doctor says it depends on you and not medical science then you know God going to have to do a miracle to live. Yet is all hope gone to living. For the believer death is only a portal to God and living in heaven.

As the word of God’s speaks of Noah’s Ark, eight people were saved from death. No one wants to think of the flood as judgment and that it brought death. It is easier to think of Noah and His family all saved. All protected. Those dying in the flood only to stand before God to face the hell, or to escape by just belief is only for God to tell and those if any survived to go through the pearly gates. Scripture says Noah found grace in God’s sight and that he was a righteous man, because of his faith in God. It was his faith that caused God to love Him. God loved Noah before Noah loved God. Yet not all God loves, returns his love. Yet did any find God in the storm, only God knows the answer. Death came slow to those on a hill as rain covered the earth. It covered even the highest mountain. No one could out run the storm water, but it did not mean people did not repent. People would of felt that rain beating down and watch as Noah Ark took lift off across the water. Did Noah get to preach from the one window on the ark, God’s word does not declare it. In fact God shut the door and sealed it to keep it from being open and letting those outside the ark to enter. I can only imagine the hatched and saws that hit the side of the ark, even maybe beams of wood trying to find away aboard. The pounding of fist, begging Noah to let them in, but it was not Noah’s choice. Did God close Noah hears, Did Noah go in to hibernation as the sound of horror outside the ship.

Truth is the stark images of what happened the day Noah was saved, is only a stark image of reality of life to death and then to death or life depending on if you believed in God and did His will for your life. You are accountable for the time you got not the time you do not. People waiting for death have time to repent, those only having a moment have only have a brief second to decide.

Truth is Jesus spoke of death and how when it was to late judgment was coming. How true it is. Even without Christ return judgment comes to those that did not plan enough insurance for the one passing, or savings. The judgment of bills at the time of death can be overwhelming but not impossible to pay. Yet love ones left behind have to worry about living and paying debts not occurred by them always but definitely by you. What it all means is this, time will come to everyone sooner or later. When Christ return’s, He will come like in the days of Noah. He will come swift and the horror of those that know of Christ but never received him will be as those beating on the side of the ark, and he will not let them in. There is not a get out of hell free card when God shuts the doors of heaven. When comes to take his people home, be ready for there will be no turning back your choice. Have the train ticket to heaven and not to hell. Have the ticket that soars like a plane and not one that goes underground like a subway ticket. Your choice is now, and not next week. Your choice is short, and yet you might live to be hundred. The choice you make now is for the future of thousand years. The choice you make now is for million years to come. One can spend it in a fire pit or in heaven, your choice to make. Make heaven your home by receiving Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior today. He died for you and paid the price of your sins on the cross of Calvary. He rose again in victory so all that believe could live with Him for eternity.

Dear Heavenly Father, I ask you to forgive me of all my sins, and I receive your Son into my heart today, knowing He paid the price of my sins, and I receive your Spirit to guide and direct through life. In Jesus precious name, Amen.
