15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
16 But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.
17 And their word will eat as doth a canker: of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus;
18 Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some.
19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.
20 But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour.
21 If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.
22 Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
23 But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes.
24 And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient,
25 In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;
26 And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will. This morning I am running late, was working on some benelovent work when what I was crocheting was becoming an entangled mess that would not end. Only recourse was to cut the yarn and untangle it. Yet it is a good lesson to me sometimes we need to separate those things in the word and those things in our life and then say what does the word of God on the right say about those things on the left. If God's word prohibits we need to remove those things the rest of the way out of our life. Something takes an act of God to remove our of our life and other things take only the words this is not of God to be removed. As a believer when we receive Christ as Lord we must become a student of faith, a student of the word of God and student of the Spirit of God. It easy to chase after those things not of God, but it better to learn to be the scholar of God in order to please him and to follow him in his direction which ever way he leads us to go. Flee those things like youthful lust, but follow in righteousness/belief, faith, charity/love, peace and to call on the Lord with a pure heart. As children/servants of the Lord Jesus Christ we learn to follow in meekness of instruction. Not to follow those that are wishy washy because of to many false doctrines in their life that they trusted in for some many years and including sin in their life that is definitely not of God.
In God's house there are many vessels some made of gold, silver and some of wood and also of earth. It matters not the vessel you are, but that you purge that vessel from sin and take care of it to the best of your ability to shine for the glory of God. Always be a vessel of honor and worthiness to be called not only a child of God but one ready for service in the work of God. God doesn't want to have to reclean the dirty pot to cook out of it, he wants it clean and ready to use, so the way to do that is learn to study God's word, to follow the Holy Spirit and say no to sin. Simple enough. and if you do all this you no longer a tangles mess of false doctrines, false sayings, false truths. and you know the word of God for yourself and not by someone else's speech from the pulpit, book, or guide, but from God's word yourself. Study God's word bear the fruit of your studies.
Dear Heavenly Father, help me not to be entangles in a mess that need to separate the sin to left and your word to the right and then tossing out the tangled mess of sin from one's life. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

16 Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.
17 And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:
18 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;
19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:
20 Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,
21 Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.
22 Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:
23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.
24 For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away:
25 But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.
