Jesus At The Door Of Your House
06/29/2021

Daily Devotions:
by Christina Farris

Revelation 3:20 KJV
20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

You ever heard a knock at the door at a time unexpected? Will Jesus will knock on the door of your heart at a time you not expecting, yet when he does he does not look for the house to be straight, nor for you home to have all crooked picture hung right, or dust bunnies out from under the bed, and definitely not all the dish clean. What he expects is you to just open the door and allow him to come into your heart of your home. To come right into the living room and dinning room and have a conversation and a he will bring the meal to eat and even provide the plates in which to eat upon. No I am not kidding, Jesus wants to dine with you and provide the bread and the wine for you to eat and drink. The word of God being the meal in which you will eat and receive and the wine the cost of the bread for you and me. The bread is his body broken for you and the wine is what poured out in his suffering for our sins. The bread is a meal because it is the dinner we must take to receive forgiveness for sin, and only Jesus can give his life for you and me.

When Jesus knocks on the door he does not expect perfection, he wants to see the filth in your life and help you straighten it up, sweep the dirt out and polish and shine the furnishing within the heart that makes you the person you are. The change he makes is new furnishings in areas that are ungodly and unclean. He wants to help make you into that new creation designed to be taken to heaven one day.

In God's heaven there are many mansions. When a person allows Christ into their heart there soul becomes a mansion for Jesus. A new house and he does not kick the old tenant out he only helps the old tenant become a person pleasing to God. He takes away the sin that keeps the holiness of God away and purifies us into a house worthy of his entrance. The word of God is what changes a person with the aid of the Holy Spirit. Christ and the Holy Spirit are one with the Father, and are the self same Spirit. Yet our Spirit is never God's Spirit. His Spirit is the one that dines with our Spirit, when we let Christ into our life.

Jesus is preparing a place for us, where in heaven how by creating us a new body to house our soul, a body that is incorruptible and undefiled. A body made in the image of God as Adam was original made before his original sin.

Jesus is standing are you going to allow Him in. Are you going to allow God into your heart and the Holy Spirit. Are you going to allow Christ to do the work within your heart to enable you to be a testimony for him. All you have to do is ask him into your heart to be saved. All you have to do is turn away from sin and allow Christ to cleanse you through His word. Then all you have left to do is obey the Holy Spirit in the direction you should follow. Very simple, not hard, but a life pleasing to God is all God desires from us. A life willing to walk in the foot steps of Jesus.

If you want to receive Jesus into your heart today pray with me and become a Christian.

Dear Heavenly Father as your Son's stands at the door and knocks you said if anyone heard his voice, Jesus would come in and dine with us. I hear you Lord and open the door to my heart and allow your Son to come in and to dine with me. As Christ cleanness my heart I ask you and your Spirit to teach me in the ways of Christ and to seal me with your Spirit. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

Continual Scripture Study: John 14:1-21 KJV
1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
4 And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.
5 Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?
6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
7 If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.
8 Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us.
9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?
10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.
11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake.
12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.
16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.
19 Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.
20 At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.
21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

1 Corinthians 15:42-44 KJV
42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:
43 It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power:
44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.

Galatians 4:5-7 KJV
5 To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.
6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.
7 Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.
