Jonathan the king's own son loved David, No not in the homosexual way, but a brotherly love for David. He felt the kinship and the knitting together of their own souls. If you ever had a best friend you know about the knitting of the soul together. You that person is dear to you for life, even if you move away to pursue a career that friendship will last a life no matter what comes between you and them. It that special friendship that is most precious. Saul will he took him from his father's house and would not let him return. Jonathan and David made a covenant/promise to each other because they loved each other.

This friendship was almost as close as a husband and wife should be, but it was only friendship. you can love more then one person and love a person very closely. I often think this new wave of homosexual love at least in America, is because some do not realize you can have a close friendship and attraction without sexual desire. This is opinion. With families going off to work and kids being force to be alone for hours and not seeing family interacting with other families, the misconception of frienship for all friendship leading to sex for these children. I am not talking about cross dresser, I am talking about the hard core homosexuality. A best friend can have more in common then just football team comradery. It is a friendship because you have many things in common, whether ideals, spirituallity, or activities. It does not have to lead to homosexuality.

Now I also say Homosexuals have a right to know Jesus, he did not stop Eunuchs by choice or Eunuchs by force could not learn about him and His Father. This relationship of David and Jonathan was more then comradery and less the impurity/outside the foundation of a godly relationship. What I mean in a godly relationship is God original intent of one man and one woman. We know that God never ordained Homosexuality has being okay, but it did not stop men or women from that life style. Just like other things God never intended from the first bite of forbidden fruit. It all things that goes against the command or word of God.

This relationship was a pure love of brotherhood. What we find in the first few verse of this chapter Saul his father loved David too, enough to want to live in the palace. What we find is this relationship would change if you read the full chapter. Saul love for David would turn to jealousy, while Jonathan would stay true to David.

Our love for Jesus should be like the brotherly relationship we have with our best friends. The trust factor intact by truth, companionship, and the fact he has the power to demonstrate his love for us back. I do not doubt I have a few enemies today talking about homosexuality as being wrong. However I suspect the Homosexual as telling me I do somethings wrong too, maybe it the occassional swear word out of my mouth. Maybe it other things as well. Let us put things in context as being talked about in the sense of God's orignal plan for man, and in the factor that on earth we do not always obey the laws of God, but that where your free will has gone if your homosexual. If you straight and have another sin in your life guess what that where your sin has taken you. There is always some one sinning, for all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.

Can you love as a brother, or a sister someone and not be intimate sexually, but in other ways like things you enjoy doing together it is possible. That what this lesson really about but Jonath heart was knitted to David's. They were as close as brother/best friends. It is a respect and love for one another. It is about that relationship we have that is so close as a friend that tell us that friend is our kindred spirit in life, We are in agree with that person. Our love for our fellow Christians should be this type of love, but in truth it is not always so let us pray for those in Christ.

Dear Heavenly Father remind us that your love is pure and special to us, that our relationships with others do not have to go against your word. That we will look for relationship that reflect your word and the truth within your word. In Jesus precious name, Amen.
