Separation And Covering
6/21/2020

Daily Devotions:
by Christina Farris

Genesis 2:23-25 KJV
23 And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.
24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.
25 And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.

Genesis 3:6-12 KJV
6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.
7 And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.
8 And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden.
9 And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou?
10 And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.
11 And he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat?
12 And the man said, The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat.

he separation of man from God came when God created woman. Man often blind to his own words, Adam said a man shall leave both mother and father and cleave unto his wife and they shall one flesh. Who was Adam father? Who created Adam but God? Now God created Adam from the dust of the earth and placed him in his garden. But Adam declare separation, and you see God is walking in the garden looking for Adam and Eve. No doubt he knew where they were, but did they understand probably not. There is no place you can hide from God, but you can hide from earthly man. The serpent deceived Adam and Eve and they seen their nakeness, and they sewed a covering for their skin. There first job was to cover up their nakeness, their exposer to God's eyes. Today we live in a world of technology and gadgets and many of us no doubt wish the camera was not on us at certain times of our life but it is. The moment we are rude, the moment we step out of being not our true selves but caught by our emotional response that not controlled, we want to hide it.

The moment we are exposed and the reality of our mistake is caught how do we react in shame, or in total rage because of our own humanity. The answer is seen on cops live all the time, but often to the negative effect of the criminal mistake and others laugh and say he was justified in his response only to see the man or woman go to jail. If we only look to the effects of our actions we fail to see the effects has on others.

God responses to Adam and Eve by placing them outside the garden. Did Adam not prophesy his and his wife own departure of being outside the garden after becoming one flesh(sex). Of course had Adam fully realize this prophesy as being from the Lord, he might skipped the deception in the garden by the snake and taken Eve and place her in a home of her own. That not what God way, he had to allow the temptation of serpent/even a stranger to them to tell them about forbidden from of knowledge of good and evil. Was this knowledge given to Adam and Eve upon eating the fruit, or was psychological effect from the word of eating something one should not. Did the tree cause death, not immediately, but death from the garden of Eden. Eden would not know Adam and Eve again, but God would. God never left Adam and Eve, he was with Adam and Eve through their journey in life and they lived to be very old.

Today we remember God the Father, in all his compassion for man, for he even gives coats to Adam and Eve to cover their sin. God compassion did not stop God providing royal robes for Adam and Eve. Why because they admitted their fault even though they blame another. In truth all were responsible. The love of a Father and family members are to protect each other. In truth do we protect each other even when we learn the faults of each other? Adam and Eve tried to cover their action until they were before God and the truth came rolling out before God. God being their Father covered them and punished them by removing them from the garden where sin occurred and giving them protection to the elements because of their sin.

If we repent to God does he not cover our sin, does not mean punishment does not occur, but it means our sin is no longer seen by Him. The punishment handed out before the covering, the covering because God did not give them eternal life, until later. Eternal life coming with belief in His Son/Word that He could raise us back to life after our life was complete through death. Yet for some they will never taste death but will rise up to meet Jesus in the sky. Will rise up not only up out of the grave but right out of their beds, the city streets, airplane, a train, a car, a subway, and so forth. We will be taken from the very place we stand and our earthly bodies will depart because of the resurrection to meet him in the air when Christ returns. Some will never see death, and others partakers of the elements of this world unto death, only to rise again. That is our hope to hear the last trumpet sound and to meet him in the air.

Dear Heavenly Father, you correction and your covering in our life through Jesus, is the blessing and hope of all believers in Christ. Thank you Lord, in Jesus precious name, Amen.

Continual Scripture Study: Genesis 3:21-24 KJV
21 Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them.
22 And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:
23 Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken.
24 So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.

Job 26:6 KJV
6 Hell is naked before him, and destruction hath no covering.
