God Is Love
6/07/2020

Daily Devotions:
by Christina Farris

1 John 4:1-21 KJV
1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:
3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
5 They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.
6 We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.
7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.
10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.
12 No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.
13 Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.
14 And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world.
15 Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.
16 And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.
17 Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.
18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.
19 We love him, because he first loved us.
20 If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?
21 And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.

To deny that Christ did not come in the flesh, what is that it claiming that God's word did not come into reality, it claiming all that in the Bible is fiction, and God's word can not become something, even into a human embroy born of human ability, not conceived by ability of man, but the ability of the Holy Spirit. It the denial of the Holy Spirit to give birth and life to all things living. It the denial of God's ability to do the impossible, It is the denial of God's love for man.

There is time in our life when we can not understand God's love but we do know God love us as a believer in Christ. God's love is known by His Spirit and is found through his comfort. He gave us His Son so that we might live through Him. His word breathes life into us. His word is Jesus. Jesus came also in the flesh as man and demonstrates how to love even in pain, and abuse. Jesus also had people of compassion around him during his ministry. We want to look at the cross and see Christ suffering but what about those around that show Jesus love and human compassion everyday that walked and talked with him. Not everyone wanted to kill him, and some only wanted him because of what they could gain from him like healing. Yet it was more then that, Christ is a faith strengthener. When the prophetic word of God comes in a situation about deliverance and it comes to pass do we understand it from God. If prophetic word comes did it come by the means of love and compassion or anger.

When I think of judgement, does it come with condemnation, if Christ coming was not to condemn but to love, did Christ fulfill that in his ministry, the answer is yes even on the cross when He said Father forgive them. When he said Father forgive them, he became the propitiation of our sin. Is it our place to condemn or our place to love. There a difference between human law of judgment and eternal judgment that can only come from God. There is a difference between loving someone despite their failing and loving someone through their failings called sin.

If Christ coming was to love it was to tear down the wall of resentment of man towards God. It does not mean sin is okay. It means God desire what best for his children, desires them to love and to love each other and not to fight and feud. He desire us to accept each other as He accepts us as we are, yet God is the only one with the responsibility to change us because he changes our hearts and teaches us how to love. That is the first command first to love God and then to love others as ourselves. How can we love another equally to ourselves, if we do not respect ourselves first with that same forgiveness that God has for us. We may act perfect but when we fail can we still love ourselves.

My husband and I been working on a project together, and though it coming together great there is always the one chance this project is a waste of time. Yet we gain something by working on it together, and that is time together that can not be gained sitting in a room on separate computers or phones. It time that working side by side brings accomplishment to each other skills and impression of talent as well. When we work with God in love what do we see happen, God changing the heart of people. When we give to charity and participate in giving to someone in need what do we gain? We see love in ourselves and in the work of God. If we help a student achieve his goaled what do we gain, but the compassion toward another. If we spend time on the internet being a friend to someone what do we gain. If we give a hug to a friend what do we gain. Hopefully it is love back, but when it not can we continue to love as God loves us.

God's way is love and compassion and it works well everytime. Everyone must be born of God to love. It means we are created by God, every man is created by God, does not mean we are all love but we have the power to love if we choose love and we choose God. The devil does not love God. He is complete disobedience to God, but God uses the devil disobedience to teach us his love and compassion. When the devil wants to trip you like he did Job, God wants to commune with you during the pain like he did Job. Job being a proper name for anyone that does not know. Anyway Job wanted an intercessor between God and him, Job wanted to know why he was no longer favored by God. His wealth was not a sign of God's favor but God compassion and Job's hard work. Yet once removed Job had trouble moving forward in his life until he made peace with God, for no doubt Job was also angry about his new situation and his sorrow was nothing he ever endured before. Yet during his trial, he learned about God in a new light of how great God was beyond his world he could understand and see. He could see his unrighteousness because of the greatness of God.

When we understand the greatness of God's love for man despite the world of sin, we see a God full of more compassion then most of us can humanly endure. We might consider our sin not as great but it is as great as all sin, because it displeases God because we do not believe in Him. He wants us to know him and see Him for who he is. He wants us to accept his reality and to love him back. To love God is to love others as we love ourselves.

Dear Heavenly Father, help us to love other because you loved us first and sent your Son to be the propiator of our sin. Teaching us peace and love and not hate. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

Continual Scripture Study: Romans 3:22-26 KJV
22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:
23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
26 To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.
