Purification by Circumcision 6/4/2019
Daily Devotions: by Christina FarrisRomans 2:17-29 KJV
17 Behold, thou art called a Jew, and restest in the law, and makest thy boast of God,
18 And knowest his will, and approvest the things that are more excellent, being instructed out of the law;
19 And art confident that thou thyself art a guide of the blind, a light of them which are in darkness,
20 An instructor of the foolish, a teacher of babes, which hast the form of knowledge and of the truth in the law.
21 Thou therefore which teachest another, teachest thou not thyself? thou that preachest a man should not steal, dost thou steal?
22 Thou that sayest a man should not commit adultery, dost thou commit adultery? thou that abhorrest idols, dost thou commit sacrilege?
23 Thou that makest thy boast of the law, through breaking the law dishonourest thou God?
24 For the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles through you, as it is written.
25 For circumcision verily profiteth, if thou keep the law: but if thou be a breaker of the law, thy circumcision is made uncircumcision.
26 Therefore if the uncircumcision keep the righteousness of the law, shall not his uncircumcision be counted for circumcision?
27 And shall not uncircumcision which is by nature, if it fulfil the law, judge thee, who by the letter and circumcision dost transgress the law?
28 For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:
29 But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.

Argument of the law of faith of who is saved and who is not. The argument based on the law of the Jews or the law of faith of believers at the heart. Faith in the law of man will cause us all to fail. Who has not broken a law in school at one time or another, How many chewed bubble gum as a teen despite the law of a classroom. Who has broken the law of man concerning things they thought they could get away with. School rules being broken just seems like a safer avenue then legal law of the land. As a child we are often afraid of breaking those rules in school, yet the only recourse of teachers were expulsion, or detention. And if one goes far enough back in history and one is at least fifty or older we can remember the time of even being spanked in school for punishment. What is the law to God. Does God have rules beyond obedience to His own word. God declare punishment of man's sin was death. Had God had the serpent rationalize the consequence of this action before it happened, would we all be on earth and not in eden, probably not. Moses once persuaded God not to allow his anger on the Israel, but when Moses came off the Mount Sinai, he broke the laws of God himself and punished Israel with killing all the would stand for the golden calf. Moses justification he had talked to God himself. The judgment of God had come to Israel through man, not by God. Yet this same reason God also refuse to come and socialize with the Jews, though He still demonstrated his power in the wilderness to help their unbelief.
The point as Moses brought the law to the people, it was needed with such a crowd of people over ten thousand left Egypt, and no doubt over time, babies would be born to the camp. The issue arises with each generation of believers and non believers. If you know another way of living are you convicted by the law. Ask a carney if he is convicted by the law, or by a rogue way of living. If he convicted by his life style by the law or justified by his own since of what is right? The point being are we justified by what we might consider socially as being right though one might see it has the legal law. Jews were followers of the law of God, and probably obeyed some of Roman's law and even did more righteous then Roman law, for even Roman leaders obeyed the Jewish law in outward show because of social customs. Put anyone in a school class about the law of our land only to later be placed in a group of people that do not always follow the law what law will win. Depending on the law broken by either the group or the legal law. If broken by the law, the group becomes a law unto themselves either in obedience to the legal law or the law of justification of the group and subject to punishment of either group. The complication of the situation gets hazardous, because when it cross the lines of different groups it causes war between groups.
The point is if the whole group of people despite a smaller group is now subject to a higher set of laws then all groups can live in peace and harmony as long as both groups are honest about the situation. Truth some can not follow the law of man but only desire to break it. The law of God superior to the law of man. I am not talking about society law/ Moses laws but the law of belief or circumcision of the heart. The heart that believes God and obeys God's Spirit of truth and protection. The law that even the Jews in their laws of their land recognized as purity of faith. Was not one a Jew only because of the tradition of circumcision. Circumsion cutting the foreskin of the male penis, tradition beginning at the time of Abraham to symbolize belief and faith in God. A disfigurement that was not necessarily publicly seen, because of clothing attire. Yet the law of circumcision made one outwardly a jew, but not inwardly a Jew. It was outward appearance.
Tribal laws outside the Jewish faith were often not as protective in their attire, yet even Jews walked among people dressing like them to a point of protection so only outwardly was their proof of what a man was. Not really unless seen behind the closed doors of dressing. The law was carried upon the shoulders of the people in little bands, was more outward show probably Biblically speaking. It is like nuns wearing a habit, or Islamics wear long robes despite the general dress code of a nation. The standing out of appearance of what someone is. If I wear shorts, people frown that are very religious in some Christian circles that believe in knee length skirts or longer. Yet does what I wear effect what I am. It should not.
The point is more our outward show does not make our faith inwardly. Anyone can sing a song of praise among believers but can you do it in a crowd of unbelievers. Some will say perhaps no. The point being God is a God that looks at man's hearts, soul and mind. He sees the inward man. He knows the truth if your heart been circumcised by His hand. He knows if you have received Jesus or not. The only one might be fooled is a person. If that person is submission to Christ He is not fooled though He has to trust the witness of God of who a person is. For a person can not see the spiritual heart, and soul of a person.
The law of God of belief is only performed at the heart and mind level of a person. It effects the inward man. Are you saved by God's word of who Christ is. That He is the Messiah His only begotten Son? If not believe today and repent of your sins, that Christ may dwell in your heart today and purify and circumcise your heart with truth of His word.
Dear Heavenly Father, each person reading today let them understand that the law of man never can justify a believer for eternity. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

Colossians 2:6-23 KJV
6 As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him:
7 Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.
8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:
11 In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:
12 Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.
13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;
14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;
15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:
17 Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.
18 Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,
19 And not holding the Head, from which all the body by joints and bands having nourishment ministered, and knit together, increaseth with the increase of God.
20 Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances,
21 (Touch not; taste not; handle not;
22 Which all are to perish with the using;) after the commandments and doctrines of men?
23 Which things have indeed a shew of wisdom in will worship, and humility, and neglecting of the body; not in any honour to the satisfying of the flesh.
