Daily Devotions:
by Christina Farris

John 3:15-18 KJV
15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Love is forgiving me when I am late putting up a devotion. I even changed the time so I would not be late and still late. So either bare with me, or move on. I having one of them months where life seems a little crazy at times. Yet I sure it will smooth out. How do I know, because God's grace is sufficient for my life and yours. If I could teach only on grace then I be a world class love preacher. Most would rather teach grace then judgment or what sin is. If we only teach what feels good and looks good, we be rich too. In general to teach love is sometimes teaching about things no one wants to hear about. Love is also knowing before you pushed to hard and slowing down enough to say wait their hope for the world around. That hope is found through Christ Jesus. God's only begotten Son. It only takes belief in Him for salvation. All the works, all action, and all deeds will not save you. God is clear from the beginning it takes faith. It takes belief. Adam and Eve believed not God. Oh I sure they did after words, but not before. Faith is required in a since before death. After death belief is to late. Judgment comes when faith is to late. Faith must come before the rooster crows. To wait another second is to late. Peter found grace after he denied being one of Christ disciples. He knew the Lord loved him, but he failed because of fear. He thought there was nothing to cause him to deny Jesus. Yet his life was still at that point to valuable to him. Peter would come to a point when giving up his own life was important for the cause of Christ. He would not turn away after returning to the town where they would crucify him upside down. He picked up the cross Christ asked him too. He went to his death by returning to the village he was trying to leave. Jesus faced his cross, never thinking to run. Why run when ten thousand angels could rescue him. Jesus did not ask for protection from the torment of his persecutors. Instead He said Father forgive them for they know not what they do. He went willingly to the cross of Calvary.

God promised us eternal life if we would only believe in His Son. His Son is also the Word. We discover that in John chapter one. Yet we find that belief in the man that would go to the cross whose name is Jesus would save us. To look to the serpent pole as the Hebrew people did on their road to the promise land. Jesus would be lifted up so all would see him on a wooden cross. Punishment He deserved not. Then He would rise again to give us hope of eternity beyond the grave. Hope to go forward knowing that salvation for eternity was at hand. Knowing God loved us so much to give us that hope of salvation. To give us that hope. To believe the prophecy of faith that are true because they are from God. To know the only hope we need is from God. That is the greatest grace/love to be ever known to mankind. To be declared to a dying world. Stop disbelieving and believe because that hope is yours. Do not worry about the rest for the moment allow God to work out your headaches, sorrows, sin and desires in your life. Hand it to him today, knowing any sin will be forgiven, all headachesj/worries/stress will be gone in God's timing. Sorrow will be only for a time, and sin can not reign in a believers life no more for sin was buried at the cross of Jesus. Your desires of the heart will be meet in time. God's knows your longing and your hope that makes life better.

Dear Heavenly Father, help the unbelieving today. Help them to see your love because you sent your Son to teach us about you and your word. About your promises to all that will believe will receive. In Jesus precious name Amen.
