The Word Will Be Fullfilled
7/21/2019

Daily Devotions:
by Christina Farris

Luke 24:44-53 KJV
44 And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.
45 Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,
46 And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:
47 And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
48 And ye are witnesses of these things.
49 And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.
50 And he led them out as far as to Bethany, and he lifted up his hands, and blessed them.
51 And it came to pass, while he blessed them, he was parted from them, and carried up into heaven.
52 And they worshipped him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy:
53 And were continually in the temple, praising and blessing God. Amen.

The fullfillment of God's word is something that becomes seen to the believer, but it should also be the hope of the believer. Christ indicates not all prophesy been fullfilled concerning him. The passages in the Old Testament concerning the resurrection had taken place. Prophesy can be mystery as well as seen clearly. Prophesy of the Old Testament concerning the death and resurrection of Christ is very clear, but there are yet things to be fulfilled, for example the return of Christ, but at the begining of the scripture above Christ had not yet ascend into Heaven. Christ is explaining of things coming as well as things already happened after the cross. The disciples were about to see scripture once more be fulfilled.

Believing God's word is essential for salvation, but also in journey with God. The disciples were still communicating with Jesus about the things to come as well as what would be happening at the close of this chapter. Not everything about your relationship with God is about salvation, there is more to it, and it is the journey in which to come. It is a prophetic journey, it believing God along life road. The disciples would experience many things after Christ ascension on their journey in life. Salvation is the beginning point of faith. It saying, "yes Lord, I believe". The journey with God is more then just belief, it is going on in faith through trials and tribulation common to man, as well as through the blessings of life, and throughl learning to obey His instruction. Noah believed God and found himself for 100 years building an ark. Abraham believed God and went on journey to the promise land. Peter went to Cornelius house because of a vision and people God sent to find him. Philip would go to witness to an Eunuch going to Ethiopia, because God had an angel instructed him to go to down from Jerusalem unto Gaza which is the desert. There he would find a chariot and opportunity to share the gospel with an Eunuch. Christ would tell Saul to go to Damacus after He became blind by the light of Christ. It takes faith to obey God as He instructs.

It is easy road to obey God when it comes to our actions concerning behavior, but not always. Our nature is changed to love, but we are not always loving or compassionate. If we allow our anger and jealousy to become the best of us, we are not what we should be as believers. Those type of actions are easily dealt with, it is the action of going some place or doing something in the physical since that takes faith. It is hard to believe a stranger that come to you and say you need to go and do as Lord instructed me to tell you to do. Most of us would laugh at this today. Then again perhaps not. See God communication with man, is enough to convince man The angel that spoke to Gideon instructed Gideon to place meat on a rock and then the angel held out his rod and it was set on fire. Man/angel of the Lord that spoke to Gideon then disappeared and in Gideons Spirit he knew he had seen angel and question God for the reason he been blessed.

What can we say, are we confused by what God is able to communicate to man? I grew up believing so the issue of accepting a divine communication is not foreign concept to me, but for anyone never experience God this is a foreign idea. Not a reality in one's thinking, until it is that person time to be given opportunity to believe. If you seek God you will find him. Just know he already wanting for the time to speak to your heart about who He is. Faith concerning the word of God is not always about preaching, or prophesying. It about being in the calling God has for your life. A day will come prophesy will cease. In other words all things concerning Christ will be fulfilled. God's word will not cease as far as the journey we travel, even beyond this life time. Our knowledge as we know will even go. But what remains will be a lifetime with God and our Lord and savior Jesus Christ for eternity. Believing God word now and then will important. The need for preaching will not be needed, for all will know God has He is and He will commune/ live with all the believers.

Dear Heavenly Father, help us believe your word and to follow your will for our life as well in life long journey. Knowing the hope through your instruction in our life, will make our life complete. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

Continual Scripture Study for Devotion:1 Corinthians 13:7-13 KJV
7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
8 Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.
9 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.
10 But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.
11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
13 And now abideth faith, hope, chariety, these three, but the greatest of these is chariety.
