Revelations 2:18-29 KJV 18 And unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write; These things saith the Son of God, who hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet are like fine brass; 19 I know thy works, and charity, and service, and faith, and thy patience, and thy works; and the last to be more than the first. 20 Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols. 21 And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not. 22 Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds. 23 And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works. 24 But unto you I say, and unto the rest in Thyatira, as many as have not this doctrine, and which have not known the depths of Satan, as they speak; I will put upon you none other burden. 25 But that which ye have already hold fast till I come. 26 And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations: 27 And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father. 28 And I will give him the morning star. 29 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

Revelations written down by John the Apostle. He had many vision and he wrote down the words of angel of the Lord that spoke to him. What was spoken to John was the concern of the church world. There were seven known churches at the time of John Exile. These letters he wrote concerned the state of the churches, that even exist today. It is truly sad day when we see the enemy try it hardest to control a church. The church of Thyatira had a woman in the church proned to the worship of idols. She was a believer in Christ, but was not willing to give up idol worship. In the world of Christianity this still goes on today. Buddahist which seem peaceful people that have receive Christ some still bow to the idol of Buddha. Some people still follow horoscopes never think of it having any harm. They feel it just game and take it not to heart. Then it entraps them to needing to read it everyday. Spiritual adultery may seem harmless. It might seem harmless to aid another in their form of worship. It may seem harmless to support another religion besides your own. We know that idol worship was part of Roman and greek culture. It is still part of some cultures around the world. Jezebel still sacrificed to idols. She still spoke the words of God and not willing to give up her idols. She taught other believers to be both Christians and fornication, not necessarily a physical sexual act of adultery but a spiritual one. Today our culture is based on more then one faith. We work and play with people not always of our faith, never given heed to how it effects our children spiritually. Two things are for sure, hate is not love. To commit spiritual adultery is not love either. To teach spiritual adultery is not love. Where does freedom come and freedom leave. What we need to remind ourselves people that are worshipping idols or false religions are going to wake in a paradise of torment. Yet can we participate socially with unbelievers. Christ walked and talked to unbelievers. Jesus even cast out demons. Some of the biggest organizations in the world support multi religions. Christians even support these groups that are religious but are really a business organization. Where is the line drawn of idolatry and one's own faith in tolerance. One might watch another religious service and feel blessed by doing so. Other's might watch and feel sickened by it. Many faiths look beautiful in observants, but in reality they will be facing devils hell. We know that Romans 1 clearly speaks how God gave man over to their sin of idolatry. That man worshipped the creature more then the Creator. Jezebel was given time to repent because of her faith in God. God was going to send them through a great tribulation to bring them to repentance. Allowing someone there own belief is not the sin, It is allowing their foreign religions not of Christ to enter in to the church and into one's personal life. We do not know if Jezebel repented beyond the words of prophesy, but we can hope so. After all is not God's word faithful to set the captives free. Jezebel a believer is captive to sin. God goaled is to deliver us out of sin. He is faithful that upon belief he will retrieve us out of the sin that is holding us back. Causing separation from Him. God would kill the children of the fornication. The offspring of those taught to commit idolatry with having faith in Christ. Paul issue with the Corinthian church goes back to even his entry into the Jewish temple to share that the Messiah had come. Corinth were gentiles not fully grasping the concept of what Paul was doing probably. Some Christians view their faith as being part of the Jewish faith. Jews would say Christians are not Jews. Christians would say Jesus worshipped in the Temple of God. He went to synagogue. He is not teaching another religion but fulfilling Jewish prophesy of the Messiah. The crossing over from Jewish faith to Christianity. The bridging of the gap. The Jews that received the gospel of Christ, would search through scripture to decide for themselves if what was taught true. The would evaluate each prophesy of the Messiah that was understood. There is a difference between idolatry, like in the Old Testament many follow astrathothe. and baal. Astrathothe being perhaps Venus, or Athena of the Roman and greek world. Names change as people moved about, creating new places and cultures. Idolatry is the worship of any god or goddess that is not Christ or God the Father, and Holy Spirit. Do you adore reading your horoscope. Do you bow and worship someone other then Christ? Then you are in adulterous spiritually to God. How does a Christian react to false religions as long as it not physically harming you, leave it alone. Have nothing to do with their worship service. However treat the people with kindness and love, to perhaps win them for Christ. Hatred and bigotry is not of God. Some are only searching for truth and you have the truth of Christ in you as a believer. Be the witness God has called you to of faith in Jesus. Remember Paul and Silas cast out spirit of divination out of a girl that was a fortune teller and it caused her owner to be mad. Paul and Silas got thrown in jail for it. Are we casting demons out or only allowing them room to grow. Will you be like Paul and Silas and be bold in faith. Always do it with love and compassion. Go by the leading of the Holy Spirit. Jesus cast out demons, but remember when the disciples could not cast demon out of a boy and they wonder why. Jesus said because some things take much prayer and fasting. Are you willing to pray and fast? Will you be as Christ taught his disciples to be. Do not allow demonic teaching in your church. It has no place in it. Dear Heavenly Father let us be bold like John and Peter and not allow Satan to roam in the church. Teach your people your wrath for spiritual wrath of adultery, and teach them how to teach the lost and dying world about you. In Jesus precious name, Amen.
