Forgiveness Of Sin For Eternity
7/05/2019

Daily Devotions:
by Christina Farris

Hebrews 10:1-27 KJV
1 For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect.
2 For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins.
3 But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year.
4 For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.
5 Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me:
6 In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure.
7 Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.
8 Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law;
9 Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second.
10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
11 And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins:
12 But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;
13 From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool.
14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.
15 Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before,
16 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;
17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.
18 Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.
19 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,
20 By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;
21 And having an high priest over the house of God;
22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.
23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)
24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:
25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

The Book Of Hebrews is said to be written by Timothy. We can learn alot from the Old Testament and the traditions of the Jewish people, yet some of the laws of the Old Testament no longer apply to the Christian.There are things the law can not do that Christ could do and would do. The purging of sin from a believers life is good. We all sin and all fall short of the glory of God, In fact our own holiness is not, but God is holy and requires his people to be holy before Him. If our conscience can make us a sinner, despite the fact we no long physically do a sin, if a sin recalled to our memory we have sinned and need to be paid for once again, so yearly there was a yearly sacrifice for sin. A purging of the conscience. The fact is people will continue to sin even after receiving the free gift of eternal life. Our ability to stand before God in purity and holiness would be impossible without Christ blood being the atonement for sin. The old sacrificial law of the bull offering was done yearly. Yet Christ sacrifice was once and for all. There was only one sacrifice for sin, and once those sins had been forgiven God promised not to remember them no more. If we sin the blood of Christ protects us. The answer is only for eternity sake, not from the people that witnessed the sin or society laws. What I mean is their accountability. Our guilt after salvation does not come from God wrath but society accountability. Is there correction from God because of sin, yes. It is reminder of the law of God.

If God no longer remembers our sins then we are able to come to him no matter our trouble. We hide not because of sin, but no we are covered by the blood of Christ our redeemer. The blood that purged our sin from hearts and our minds when he comes into heart and seals us. If we receive the gift of what Christ did for us by dying on the cross for our sins, we no longer have to worry about our sin as far as eternity. Keyword eternity. God corrects his people scripture says in Hebrews 13. He corrects like children, because we are his children. Yet how can he if he never remembers our sin? It is through teaching of the Holy Spirit to our hearts. The Holy Spirit teaches us God's laws. If God teaches man his laws by writting them on our hearts then we know not to sin, yet we are still human, and so not yet sinfree from earthly standpoint. We are only free by God's law for eternity.

A criminal could say I am saved would it get him out of jail any quicker. No a criminal is judged by the courts which are human beings. Man can forgive but man seldom forgets. See Man is not God and can not be God. Are memories of our wrong doing is etched in our hearts and minds, but God sees our sin no more. The Holy Spirit warns us of sin, but unlike Cain we are forgiven and not cast out of God's sight, only covered and protect by Jesus. All we need is Jesus to protect us from the wrath of God. The wrath and torture of man is different. Why we live by the laws of the land to protect ourselves. If we break the law of man, we pay the price of the law of man by the law of man.

God does not just forget our sin but he provides us with a teacher to our hearts, so we know what God expects or hopes for His children. God provides the gift of salvation first through His Son and then gives the gift of a teacher, the Holy Spirit to guide us. We are in submission to HIs Spirit, for we should be walking not in the fulfillment of the flesh, but in the fulfillment of his Spirit. Do not allow sin to control you. Sin has no place in our life as Lord of our life. It has no place in your life to control you. Devil has been defeated in your life if you have received Jesus Christ has Lord and Savior.

Dear Heavenly Father forgive us of our sins, I receive your gifts of salvation daily, though it is a one time event in a believers heart to receive salvation. Enable us to remember that your purged us from our sin, through Christ atonement. That I am no longer guilty before you for sin, except by the law of man. Fill me with your Spirit so I sin not against you or the law of man. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

Continual Scripture Study for Devotion: 2 Corinthians 5:17-21 KJV
17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.
21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
