Kingdom Of God Comes With Power
01/29/2021

Daily Devotions:
by Christina Farris

Mark 9:1 KJV
1 And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That there be some of them that stand here, which shall not taste of death, till they have seen the kingdom of God come with power.

John 4:24 KJV
24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

1 Corinthians 4:20 KJV
20 For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power.

Acts 2:1-4 KJV
1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.
3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.
4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

The looking through scripture for understanding Christ word takes some the Holy Spirit and meditation. Why because we must first come to understand God is Spirit. His power is used in his people for his purpose. Yet we stop there and say okay, God Spirit was always and is always still the same. How can those living seeing God's kingdom come, if we are still waiting for Christ kingdom to come. Some of those there would see God's kingdom come with power and not taste death(Mark 9:1). Jesus may of been talking about the day of Pentecoste. Several things Happened, the Holy Spirit came with power, the power shown in the sound that came from heaven like a rushing mighty wind and it filled the house where the disciples were. It came with a force and power. Holy Spirit was establishing the kingdom of God throught he disciples. The third thing that happened was cloven tongues like fire that anointed each head of the disciples to say these are my apostles. Then his apostles began to speak in unknown languages as the Spirit gave them power/utterance. This is God's kingdom coming. The kingdom of His Spirit with power. This is not the same when His wrath comes. This is the portion of his Spirit he pours out on man. This is a kingdom not of government but of faith that has no borders. Man can not erected walls to separate because it flows by God's Spirit to each believer. Each believer that sealed, sanctified and ready to do the will of God. The Spirit can not flow in a believer if his will is to do his own thing his way. There must be a yielding to God's Spirit and call to obedience before he can learn to follow in full submission. For some it takes longer in their journey and for others it seems they have no trouble with submission. I think it has to do with experience in life and things each person has seen or did in life, to understanding the full measure of the grace of God, in relationship to Christ death and resurrection. If we taught all our life it natural to believe but until we come to full understanding beyond simple child like acceptance we are still lacking into become an adult in faith. Adult in faith means reaching maturity of understanding. It okay to understand grace as a child, but the child must grow up. We can not remain as a child, we need to grow deeper and well rooted in the things of God.

God's kingdom coming to earth in the form of his Spirit, His Son is on the Throne and all the enemies are yet to be under his feet, but the enemy of death is under his feet, through the resurrection. The enemy being death. The enemy defeated through the cross of Calvary, Jesus raising to new life, because he was a perfect man, and followed the will of God unto death, dying for all our sins. Paying the price of sin. Jesus is on the throne sitting on the right hand side of the Father. He returned to his rightful spot beside his Father.

Yet His Father came down to us by His Spirit not to set up earthly kingdom but a spiritual kingdom in the heart and soul of man. Giving us the power to be overcomers, not people of defeat, but people that live by faith not by what they see in the world happening. Blinders of the world by no means no. The enemy called Satan will arise but he is already defeated waiting on the last curtain call to say he has no time left. That comes after Christ returns with the trumpet sound. See we all have to put on incorruptibility or corruptibility after the final trumpet, it be either heaven or eternal lake of fire will be our destination. Depends on whether you stood on faith or whether you chosen sin and disobedience to God, with the sin of law that weighed the sinner down because they felt they could not obey God, instead choosing to turn and denounce God, not knowing the law was only to show our inability, making us subject to God grace and God's power allowing him to do the work of redemption for us through the cross of Christ, if we would only believe. Belief being foremost important part of faith, instead of us trying to achieve redemption with no success. When we yield and allow God's Spirit to enable us we are then able to be redeemed by the power of God through his Son death on the cross and resurrection. To do his will by his power is also part of faith that is subservient to faith in God. We can not be a part of God's kingdom until we allow him to redeem us. It called choosing God and faith in his plan of salvation, and not trying to do things our own way or the devil's way, that caused original sin in the first place. Has God's kingdom come into your heart and soul today. Or are you still living with the guilt of sin that can be dropped off at the cross of Calvary, and never to be picked up again. Yet we may occasionally try and run through the garabage heap. God has already buried and covered our sin, so leave it alone.

Simple fact is are you a child of God, are you part of the kingdom of God and joint heirs with Jesus. All anyone has to do is receive Christ as Lord and Savior and repent(turn from sin) and ask for forgiveness to be a joint heir with Jesus, to be a apart of God's kingdom/family. See it goes back to God kingdom being one of his power not our power and might. His kingdom coming to our hearts by his power, by his calling us to be his child, leaving the conviction power on our hearts by His Spirit. He loves us, enough to show us there nothing we can do, for our power is not like God's power.

Dear Heavenly help us to recieve Christ as redeemer, because it in your power to redeem us and the power is not within ourselves to get into heaven or to be your child. It is your power and might that established the kingdom of power of faith, love, forgiveness and hope through Christ Jesus your Son. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

Continual Scripture Study: Corinthians 15:20-28 KJV
20 But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.
21 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.
22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming.
24 Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.
25 For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.
26 The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.
27 For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him.
28 And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.

1 Corinthians 15:52-58 KJV
52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ
58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
