Jesus gave proof to many that never asked for proof but for others he denied them proof. God provide signs in the day of Moses, Jonah, Elijah, Elisha, and most of the prophets. What the Pharisees ask might seem like a simple thing to provide to the Pharisees, but Jesus refused to give them a sign. Refused them proof because they had scripture and knowledge of God. People needing evidence that supposely know God. Needing convincing of the reality that something is of God. How much evidence must be given? Jesus refused to give these men any proof and left the shore of Dalmanutha and went to the other side. Be careful about tempting God or having the leaven of the Pharisees in your heart, the need of signs and wonders of evidence of God.

One would wonder how a scientist could be an atheist after studying all the evidence of creation, and the DNA of plants and animals. Yet they continue to look for proof of God existence and power to create. It not odd to want a sign, but after God has given you many signs should you need more proof.

Jesus had given the disciples examples of his power in the feeding of the crowd of people only to find the disciples only had one loaf of bread among them, as if they sought for a sign of God's provision, instead of buying more and loading the boat with it. Why did they not load the boat with more food, did they expect Jesus to provide everytime.

We look for signs and fail to understand Jesus provided the sign for the purpose of belief or to build up belief. It like going to a doctor is for a purpose, though praying for healing is needed as well. James in James 5 encourages us to call upon the elders and prayer for those sick in body, praying first for their salvation and repentance of sin. Yet Psalms 103 says God is the healer of all our diseases, so why do we need a doctor, because God expects us to do our part through the knowledge he provides man with. For example the ark was built with the knowledge from God. One of Noah son's was said to build boats much later after the ark. We have to stop and think if God providing brains and knowledge we ought to use them for the simple things that can be solved with knowledge when it is available and pray for those miracles both physical, mental and spiritual when there is and isn't knowledge to solve it. The prayer first for the doctor that needed to perform the task will be available and the doctor that no good be somewhere where he is more skilled.

We look for proof of God, or are we seeking God for deliverance, for aid, for help in the storm. Or we seeking with unbelieving hearts? Many seek for sins only to fail, because they looking with blinders of the Pharisees. God is awesome God, but he wants us to learn to use what we know remember who authorized that knowledge and skills. Work is the same way. God desire us to continue daily working, with the knowledge he provides as well as know how to use, to provide the bread and food we need by our hands,and when blessing our poured out by God's hand we will know the difference. The work of hands God will prosper us. What is prosperity, it is the provisions we need daily, not always the abundance, but the abundance of wealth may come as well for God's glory.

Dear Heavenly Father, help us remember our place in the universe to use what you provide, and your provision already provide and will provide.Nothing the impossibilities can be possible with prayer, faith, fasting and hope. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

19 But when Sanballat the Horonite, and Tobiah the servant, the Ammonite, and Geshem the Arabian, heard it, they laughed us to scorn, and despised us, and said, What is this thing that ye do? will ye rebel against the king?
20 Then answered I them, and said unto them, The God of heaven, he will prosper us; therefore we his servants will arise and build: but ye have no portion, nor right, nor memorial, in Jerusalem.
