Time Of Christ: Judge And Ask
1/28/2017

Daily Devotions: by Christina Farris

Matthew 7:1-14 KJV
(1) Judge not, that ye be not judged.
(2) For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.
(3) And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
(4) Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?
(5) Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.
(6) Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.
(7) Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
(8) For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
(9) Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?
(10) Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?
(11) If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?
(12) Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.
(13) Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
(14) Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

We are taught in life to judge between good and evil. Yet to judge a man we can not. Yet we can judge what someone does whether it be right or wrong. To judge evil is not to judge a person. To judge a man is to condemn him, by which means you do not want to be judge by. If you judge someone to be a thief are you a thief? If you lie and judge someone for lying are you not condemning yourself as well. The only solution when it comes to seeing someone else do something you know is wrong and know you done it too, is to repent. To take time and fix it if you can. Some things can not be fixed by man, but takes an act of God. If we are raised in the church from early childhood we taught to ask God. To talk to Jesus. I know myself that asking Jesus for the impossible is possible to obtain. Jesus is able to deliver. His name is the sweetest name I know. Yet if I know his name and his power to deliver, I can not deny his ability to provide and deliver in difficult circumstances. If Jesus can help in my life then your life too. Yet if I pray and ask, it must be in accordance to God’s precious will for my life. God desires to give us good gifts from Him, but we must be able to recognize these gifts as being good. If God gives you something even if it is a stale piece of bread to eat is it food? Okay it not a pizza, or pie, but you will not starve.

Asking God does not mean you get what you want, but you will get a greater gift from God because it is a gift that will teach, show and enable you to be more then what you will be in time to come. If God desires to give you a mansion why not give it to you instantly. It because God wants to build your faith before the mansion. He wants to prepare you before the mansion. He wants to take the stumbling stones out of your life and prepare you for his kingdom. If it means stale bread for hundred days then God wants you to learn something. Yet if he gives you steak for a month He teaching you something as well.

What appears to be evil might not be evil. One has to look for the blessings sometimes, and what one gains from hardship and struggles. We can not judge another man’s struggle, only how the information effects us. When I think of Ezekiel call in life, I say I never be like Ezekiel. Yet asking someone in the nursing home still praising Jesus that can not turn over on their side without help, if they feel like Ezekiel. They proclamation is death and destruction is coming. Few people walk out of a nursing home when they are old, but those that have know it only to go into the loving arms of the home of a love one hopefully. Children dying speak that judgment of God comes to both young and old. Does not mean the child deserve death, but God calling home has no definite age, only a timetable of teaching love and hope. Those who testify of loss of child or a loss of young person has often been about the love this person shared with them. The miracle of life alone. The fight for survival that end with peace of death or the hope of a better future on earth.

Life struggle without God does not exist, for God is the one the brings hope in all circumstances whether it be life of death. Time of judgment is up to God and not for anyone to decide. Yet our laws declare death to murders and those that make war with our land. Beware how you judge, for you know not if you be judged by it as well. Ask God to give not only eternal hope through His salvation plan which is through repentance and receiving Christ as Savior, but also the earthly hope of a better and brighter tomorrow, knowing those things in your life is only for a period of time.

Dear Heavenly Father give the hope of faith first Lord to the unbeliever and then the hope of a future bright and clear to your people, with the knowledge their eternity is secure in you. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

Continual Scripture Study for Devotion:James 4:13-15 KJV
(13) Go to now, ye that say, To day or to morrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain:
(14) Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.
(15) For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that.
