I will always value the solid teaching of God’s word. Yet the value of teaching is not of wealth of gold, though some have profit from it, by the millions and others only can hope and pray their next meal will come. The trust is in some place the gospel message is better received then others. Yet the gospel message is of old. Jesus went into cities and villages teaching in Synagogues and healing the sickness and diseases. The lame were healed, deaf to hear and the blind to see were all miracles wrought by our Saviors hand. Moses taught and did miracles. The prophets and religious leaders taught the people.
We are all called to teach, but how we teach is not based on always standing behind a desk per say. In fact we all teach in the school of life, but what we teach is not always the ways of God. We are all called to be teachers of the word of God that believe. Yet do we teach the things of God? Do we yield ot the ways of God and obey them?
The things Jesus taught would not of been unusual. In fact the things questions by the religious leaders would only help others to ask their own questions. One must be taught to ask questions. A person does not wake up asking things. People observe and mimic what they see better then chimps in the zoo. We repeat what we like and do not like and observe. Yet the question of why or how come is often only reserve to children. Parents teach their children not to be inquisitive, after teaching them how to ask a question.
Lead a horse to water and he may or may not drink of it. Yet lead a child to the library and I guarantee he either pull all the books off the self and throw them, or look for books he can read himself. Picture books are the first books any child reads himself. Looking and remembering the story told to them. Then the first words of a sentence is learn, and the reading process is begun. I wonder how many remember there first reading sentence. I still can remember my first grade teacher putting our first sentence we had to learn to read on old big pad of paper the whole class could see. It was not on a chalk board.
Teaching begins even before the written words on paper, it begins the minute one learns hi and bye, and thank you. The first thing learn about Jesus is Jesus love me because the Bible tells me so. Yet the evidence of Christ love being taught does not make it so, only the proof in the individual believers heart tells the love of Jesus to each and everyone.
I can quote John 3:16 all day, but until I experience the love of God for myself the value of the words only comes with initial belief. The believer teaches the unbeliever about God. But the Holy Spirit is the one to teach the believer all things to the heart and soul of man the truth of His word. Man can only teach about the word and ways of God and the way to live.
Jesus teaching was not so unusual, but the miracles were what help declare him the Messiah. Moses miracles saved his people and brought them out of Egypt. Jesus was looked as a leader that would set his people free, yet they would still be under foreign government, but not always under religious restraints. Israel looked for a physical deliver and not a spiritual deliver.
Dear Heavenly Father thank you for the spiritual deliver that Jesus is even today. A deliver of the message of faith and truth. We ask for you to raise up believers to take a stand on teaching the truth of the gospel. In Jesus precious name, Amen.
