What is love but to love others as we want to be loved. To kill someone is not love.The first story of brothers is not about brotherhood, but about the root evil standing at door of one’s heart. How God will warn us about what is not love and what is love. How God will warn against the enemy if one will listen. Yet to listen and obey one will find love. Cain sin became real when he killed his brother. It was one thing to disobey God by not performing the sacrifices ordained by God, but another to kill one brother. All Cain ever had to do was repent with the first mistake towards God and not harbor the sin of destruction of his brother in his heart.

To remain in the love of God is to remain in God’s grace, but grace ran out for Cain when he killed his brother. It was the last straw for God when it came to Cain’s disobedience, Does God allowing killing ever. Our laws allow killing for protection and war. It does not allow killing for pleasure or criminal acts. Yet there groups that kill with no regards for human life. Street gangs using violence to control, and yet failing when the cops is able to prevent their crimes.

God was willing to forgive Cain for his act of disobedience concerning the sacrifice given to him, but when Cain went against Him and killed his brother because of jealousy that was when God wrath came. Do you love God to stop from sinning and repent, or only love God when it benefits your agenda to do so. Obedience it not only when it benefit’s a person to do so but even when God warns us to obey and to love. We must learn to heed God’s warning in all situations. God warning is his desire to protect Cain, but his action were in direct disobedience to God‘s warning. To hear God and to obey is God‘s perfect plan of man. To obey without question. To do good and not evil. Yet God allowed us to have knowledge of evil and good.

Dear Heavenly Father teach us to obey you especially when you warn our hearts not to do something. In Jesus precious name, Amen.
