Daily Devotions:
by Christina Farris

Romans 15:8-13 KJV
8 Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers:
9 And that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy; as it is written, For this cause I will confess to thee among the Gentiles, and sing unto thy name.
10 And again he saith, Rejoice, ye Gentiles, with his people.
11 And again, Praise the Lord, all ye Gentiles; and laud him, all ye people.
12 And again, Esaias saith, There shall be a root of Jesse, and he that shall rise to reign over the Gentiles; in him shall the Gentiles trust.
13 Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.

As Christmas Eve night approaches several things dance in my head, one of the memories of childhood so long ago. Christmas, even as a child I would wait for Santa Claus to come, watching all the programs of Christmas, yet one thing lack was all the knowledge about Christ in Christmas, so if you followed me along and may even did your own research on the subject, I hope what you find is Christ first in Christmas and Santa story second. Santa being a story about ST Nick, who gave to orphanage at the time of celebrating the Christ Child. Perhaps is mind was on the wise men that gave gifts to Baby Jesus, as he hammered away in his workshop that year, hoping to give those children a little hope and little cheer. They were children with no hope that year. Yet St Nick was sure to do something that would grow and become more famouse then any likes on social media, for it still being check like year despite a pandemic. A tradition maybe stronger then anything man could make, because Christmas is not only about Jesus, it is about giving each year. Do not fret if you have nothing to give, because perhaps you given something before. Hold to the memories of giving once more. Hold to the hope that giving and receiving can bring. It not usual to think that man would want to mimic the idea of hope that God brought to the world and even the peace meant for the world.

Has you give and get this year think not only of your surprises that are unveiled, but of the hope of faith in Christ can bring to your heart, and then you will have that hope of eternal life. Why not this Christmas receive God's greatest gift to the world in your heart. Asking him to be your Savior. Asking him to be your Lord. Try him today and you will understand that hope of the Gentiles and the Jews. For God is no respecter of people, but gives to all that same hope, joy, love, peace, kindness and so forth when we trust in him. Don't get stuck on the materialism of our world, but think of our need that starts at the heart. There much more to Christmas then bobbles and things. It is having Christmas at the heart, joy of hope, the joy of gift from God in heart. See Man sinned and that began the tribe of Gentiles with the sin that formed an outcast of society. Everyone welcome into the tribe of outcast, because it has to do with sin. Yet God sorority is more then election but a choice. We will always be outcast from the day of our birth, for we are born into the sin of this world, but we make that choice to belong to the family of God, by receiving his gift of His Son, through faith in Christ Jesus. Jesus came preaching to types of people those lost from the common wealth of Israel and Israel. Each with sin, but one forgiven because of faith and repentance. King David knew what was to sin and also to about sin and God not imput punishment for sin against him. See David killed Abigal's mean husband but he also had Bathsheba's husband kill for his own sin of lust. Abiligal's husband was killed for his ignorance, and Bathesheba husband kill because he refused to cover David sin through his own ignorance.(Bathesheba was pregnant). Both were sins, yet one more justifiable then another. One man faithful to his King, troops and God and the other unfaithful to his country, to peace, to God, to his wife and to his King. God judged David for Bathsheba and took his son from him.

There some of us that have luxury of good homes, knowledge of faith, even are believers, yet they stray to return to God, because of his faithfulness to forgive our sins. Then there is the gentile, those with knowledge of Christ, have no knowledge the importance of faith, and may even worship idols. They may sin regularly against God in ignorance of sin. These people are not without hope, for Christ came to be a light to the Gentiles, a root and a branch out of the tribe of Moabites through the bloodline of Jesse the father of David. The tribe that followed the prophecy of the star. With that thought the winter solace of seeing the hope of the Christmas star, we realize the hope of faith in Christ alone is enough. The forgiveness of sin is enough through his atonement. His atonement for our sin takes them away and buries in the sea of forgetfulness, to never rise again, but Christ rose without the sin of th world that caused his death, but love and peace of God on his lips. The scars of healing in his flesh to remind us all what we did. Not to Lord our guilt over us, but to remind us He paid the ultimate price for you and I. That he paid the price and covers us with his blood. The blood God sees with the words Father forgive them, for they now not what they do. They understand the love and grace God gives. As Jesus walked the earth he heal both Jews and Gentiles, and yet he also showed love, forgiveness, while he taught faith in God. Today we know He lives because when we receive Jesus as Lord and Savior, His grace of the gift of the Holy Spirit comes to men and women to confirm faith and that we are marked as a child of God.

Don't just be a part of the tribe of sin, but be a part of the family of God. It is your choice and it is your choice even today. Where will you stand with God or with that old Devil that has not your best interest at heart. Choose God today.

Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for the greatest Christmas present of all time, give us that grace, hope and reassurance tht when we receive you has Lord, we also receive the gift of the Holy Spirit who marks us as your child. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

God Bless You!
May you have a Merry Christmas, 14 years and running,

Continual Scripture Study: Romans 5:18-21 KJV
18 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.
19 For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.
20 Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:
21 That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.
