Spiritual King Of Old
12/15/2019

Daily Devotions:
by Christina Farris

Micah 5:1-4 KJV
1 Now gather thyself in troops, O daughter of troops: he hath laid siege against us: they shall smite the judge of Israel with a rod upon the cheek.
2 But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.
3 Therefore will he give them up, until the time that she which travaileth hath brought forth: then the remnant of his brethren shall return unto the children of Israel.
4 And he shall stand and feed in the strength of the LORD, in the majesty of the name of the LORD his God; and they shall abide: for now shall he be great unto the ends of the earth.

As Christmas is fast approaching, we are only reminded that there is much to the Christmas story that is never declared to the world as far as preaching it. I often amazed how many ministers across our globe speak the Christmas story in four Sunday's but have little time to tell all the prophecy surrounding the birth of Christ. No doubt some have typed books and laid out evidence of prophecy for sale. Yet have they ever freely distribute the news of the New born King! beyond Matthew and Luke Gospels. Why is it important to do so. If we cut out the prophesy then Christ is only another babe born and laid in manger because there was no motel. Yet with the prophesy retold the manger scene is more then no room at the inn. It is the evidence of the spiritual king from old coming to teach his people as a shepherd king.

Isaiah is often given for prophecy surround the birth of Christ but there are other references to the coming Messiah and the destruction of Jerusalem to follow, Micah 5 just being one of them. If we look to history and the destruction of countries it usually political more then just religion, though in early times it was often for religion. We can not leave out religious battles in the since of divine intervention within battles. The Roman Empire despite the crushing of Jerusalem turned into Christian nation for a period of time, yet the fall of Roman began internally, unto a war outside its camps from the territory known as Germany today. The army of North sweeping down at a time Roman was already begining to collaspe eternally. The point with the fall of Roman Christianity had to spread once more into regions not yet hearing the Gospel message. Gospel once more spreading into regions of unknown people to them. Africa as been an area the Gospel has been spreadl and even false relgions of our day have gone because of the needs of the people of tribal communities and villages. The outpouring of Christianity to share the Gospel with people that knew not Jesus. Yet we see today nations rising that know not Jesus where doors have been open to the Gospel that had been closed for centuries and even just decades. Yet the issue still remains of many governments in place that will rise and fall because some will say faith and others might even say because they are afraid to obey the laws of their own land when destruction comes from eternal land of a government.

Spiritual rise and falls in a land is much the same way. We see spiritual rising and then fallings, because people refuse to hear and obey God. Jerusalem was attacked back to back by several nations from Babylonian, Persia, Assyrians, Greeks and Rome. Yet the King of Israel would be born in a time of peace and safety. Something to remember is this king coming would be one ruler from old. Meaning God with us, Immanuel/Emmanuel would be ruling He is the oldest living ruler of our day and time as well as from the begining of time. God was going to establish the spiritual church, and break down the walls of divisions between all people. We all smile and laugh knowing with establishment came other world religions that would try and raise up a spiritual leader to rule and control the world, which would be known as an antichrist. So how do we know that Jesus is the king of the spiritual realm. He is a king born from the tribe of Bethelehemites. Bethlehem being a key component to the story of a spiritual king. If we look at Jesus as a Spiritual ruler, the kingdom God was really reestablishing was his own upon the earth. Yet God was giving the people a spiritual king like themselves and him. A physical king with the power of God to lead his people and yet his own would reject Him.

It hard to separate spiritual King from religious leader. Yet in this day in age until the return of Christ we must grasp that it might be best too. A leader, a president, a government of anykind might have faith in Christ, but their rule must be in accordance to the law of the land. The law of land did not stop the Christians in the time after Christ ascension from being persecuted. We have to ask why, because Christians of the early church spoke out. If Christians did a demonstration in our day, would we march through our nation in quiet gathering or would the megaphones echo across our city streets. It would depend on how you want to follow the law of the land or do as groups have done before and be faced with pepper spray and bullets from rifles to protect the innocent.

Yet the best solution is not a march, but to reach beyond our doors to testifying to those in need of God's word. Demostration only declare how many there really is that backs the Christian faith. That can be done online today without a march and yet the gospel still spreading not to over throw a government, but to allow the spiritual rising of faith. Spiritual rising of faith for the healing of crimes of a nation. The remind of our laws with or without God. To teach the importance of legal system and obedience to it as will as obedience to God. Yet in truth some would rather not have to obey both, and that divides a country greatly. Yet it keeps a country together if the law is not against God's laws or justice system.

What my point a spiritual King is all we need to rule our hearts and one day with his appearance when every eye will behold him as He returns the same way he left. Christ Appearance will mystify and defy our legal governments around the world. The proclamation of the freedom of faith sitting beside our govenmental laws was the purpose of our constitution. There many governments but not all have been built on the foundation of faith as Jerusalem in her early years and even our own government chosing laws based on both scripture and anti scripture. Christians complain when ungodly laws are made against the Bible, not realizing that within the Bible some of the things that took place since the fall of man as been not against man's laws but only against God's law. The spiritual warfare begins right there. The choice to do it God's way or man. The law of man followed until it breaks God's law is what the Bible speaks. Yet our Bible turns around and tells us to obey also man's law. Going around in circles. When a country tell Christians they can not worship God, they still do so within their heart and they pray for their nation to open the door of faith once more. When nations open the doors of faith in Christianity the devil wants to be honor too. And rise of many religions follow. The rise and fall of spiritual world begin a war of faith by prophecy and making things happen or allowing God to do his will. The spiritual king to rule our hearts is already hear, we only wait for the physical appearance and it in a way no government can stop Him, not even with force field, or weapons of a space program. I love those Reagan years. Yet the simplicity of peace within our land during Democratic rises and falls. Yet what remain our faith in Christ or our faith in humanity.

As we remember the spiritual kingdom of God this Christmas let us understand the rises and falls of governments does not change your faith or your beliefs, only cause governments to be angry because of people's faith, no because they are angry not at the people of God, but at God and his Son. In Charolettesville VA there was a rise of Neo Nazism in their streets. It start with legal demostration and turned into hate. There evidience across our land of neo nazism being behind some mass shootings. Columbine being one of them. We need to first pray for our land and use our law of faith and law of our land to see hope change people. We need to abide by God's laws first and our nations laws.

Christ was nailed to a cross with the title king of the Jews. Is He king of the Gentiles. According to scripture he is. He was nailed by both groups of people, People of government that tried to cleanse their hands from the ordeal and by the religious leaders. Our hands can not be cleansed by a due nothing attitude when it comes to not stopping a crucifixion of a mob. We must stand with laws taking time to educate ourselves during impeachment hearings. We must be willing to adhere to it, to see change in our land. When the devil sees that God's people are force to adhere to the law despite how good and nobel some are, then the devil has lost his battle, because he was defeated long ago. His life is about to expire with the return of Christ one day. His time is short. As we celebrate Christ we must also remember who He is, not just a babe in a manger but the king from Old.

Dear Heavenly Father, may your truth reign in our hearts and souls. May you help your people in times our governments are not favorable toward us as well as when our government is. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

Continual Scripture Study for Devotion: My Commentary on this, This verses are both Paul words and Peter's words. Peter would be cruxified by persecution, Paul no one knows what happened to him completely they scholars of old say. But what we know is Paul was stoned, beaten for disobedience to the government and still stood to preach another day. Willing preacher, a zealous minister or sinful minister the point is God word still spread. Examine the law of the land and examine the law if our leaders are breaking them. Judge not by all the righteousness of a leader or by things you believe are right but by our laws. That same law that protects our freedom of faith, our speech, our liberties and people including ourselves in this land of freedom.

Titus 3:1 KJV Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work,

Romans 13:1-3 KJV
1 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.
2 Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.
3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same:

1 Peter 2:13-14 KJV
13 Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme;
14 Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well.
