Time Of Christ: Nothing Keeps Us From The Love Of God
12/31/2016

Daily Devotions: by Christina Farris

Matthew 24:42-51 KJV
(42) Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.
(43) But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.
(44) Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.
(45) Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?
(46) Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.
(47) Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods.
(48) But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming;
(49) And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken;
(50) The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of,
(51) And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

This is a close of message for 2016. I can not go backwards in time, but only go forward. I wrote this year on the American Resolution, a spiritual resolution. The spiritual resolution to have Christ in one’s heart and allowing him to making the changes in our daily lives. That was the main focus of this pass year. Nothing can change it, but I sure someone will try and change it to mean many things. Spiritual resolutions is not about physical but a spiritual war. Do spiritual wars effect the physical world of course it does. Yet one can not go backward in our physical war of life any better then we can go back in our spiritual journey in life. Our spiritual journey has to do with the salvation of our soul and relationship with God. We all were created by God’s natural design process created for developing our species. Yet we are not all followers of Christ. Not all followers of God’s word. To follow Christ is to follow God’s word. To believe in Jesus is to believe He is the Messiah, the one God chose to save us from our sins if we would only look to him.

Today scripture passage talks about keeping watch for our Messiah return. How the unwise servant goes about doing other things instead of watching. We need to watch and listen for the return of Christ but stay busy doing not only for Christ, but living out our days living for God. Our job keeping watch in preparation for God’s word to be known has true not only in our hearts but our physical world we live in.

The importance of God’s word being part of our society and schools is so important. Many schools putting God’s word back in, if nothing more the historical bases. Yet with seeing scripture as only history we can also see as our Savior in our world today. We learn greatly from others and our own passed mistakes as well as those things that stand the passage of time. One of the greatest things that stand the passage of time is love. We can watch and pray but without the love of God we are without the hope of God’s’ message to the world. Tribulation comes and goes, along with persecution. Yet God’s word remains and the hope and love of God remains to all generations. Jesus was the prophetic word coming to life to save us from our sin. Jesus greatest teaching is forgiveness. Yet God also taught there was time to stand up and fight. Jesus greatest teaching was about also about peace, but also about war. Wars will come and go, but His Word will remain. God’s word remain as Christ returns to our hearts, but one day in the eastern sky. One day Christ will return so that every eye will see Him. There is nothing that will keep us from the truth of God’s word or the love of God. The spiritual resolution is about reconnecting the love of God to every human heart. This can only come with every human excepting Christ as Savior and Lord. Yet there well be some that will day in this revolution to only be cast out of the kingdom of God for eternity. As believers of Christ, we can rest assured nothing will keep us from the love of God. Nothing will separate us from Him. His mercy is true if we only will believe. Yet his mercy is true for the heathen but it is one day going to run out. Keep watch this coming year and remember the hope of those things you have seen.

Dear Heavenly Father help us to keep watch for our Son’s coming, reminding us daily of your love for us and our hope found only in you. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

Continual Scripture Study for Devotion:Romans 8:35-39 KJV
(35) Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
(36) As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
(37) Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
(38) For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
(39) Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
