Time Of Christ:The Birth Of Our Savior
12/10/2016

Daily Devotions: by Christina Farris

Luke 2:6-7 KJV
(6) And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered.
(7) And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.

This morning as I look at the Time of Christ and think of my Savior birth, I am reminded of the Scriptural Study passage below in Revelations that is suppose to be a testimony about our Savior. The war in heaven is often thought to have not come. Yet we must remember that son of man and the old serpent was cast out of heaven long before the birth of our Savior in the flesh and salvation by the word was upon all mankind that would believe, to the Jew first and then the Gentile, no God was no respecter of persons from the dawn of time. Yet before Christ many people were under the curse of sin not understanding that repentance and forgiveness was for all not just one group of people. Cain being the first to be cast from God’s sight because of his sin and Noah grandson Canaan punished to be a servant because of the sin of Noah son. Meaning God’s eternal curse and man’s unforgiveness and punishment on a man.

The dragon symbolic of power and kingdoms. Yet it more then this it is symbol of something that is not God. Israel was virgin of being taken captive, Three kingdoms would rise before Roman Empire. Some of Judah was taken to Egypt in the form of captivity, but much in the journey like state of being released in time to return from captivity to the promise land.

One can not confuse the time of struggle of the time reformation of Israel to the birth of Christ. Two separate events. One poetic in nature by Revelations, in relation to the birth of Christ seen in Luke. The birth of God’s word existed before Christ was born in the flesh. With every great revival comes the birth of the word of God in someone heart. During the time of Exile as the word of God began to sink into the unbeliever belief would begin with the hope and dreams of freedom once again. For God had not forsaken his people with a warning of exile without a promise and hope of return.

The church a symbol of the woman fleeing from persecution by going into heathen land around them. Persecution errupting across Israel because of the resurrection of Christ and the persecution of the church would then follow. The devil not happy because of all that had happen. It still true today.

Yes a little confusing perhaps of what I written down, but this Christmas as we think of the birth of our Savior in the flesh, let us not forget that God’s word must take life in our hearts by belief, for His word to continue to be born in our hearts. For God’s word is coming despite our belief or unbelief. God’s word will prevail over the enemy. The believer may run, hide, be exile for a time, but the word of God will come forth like a noon day Sun above the clouds for the world to see. The return of Christ will come with or without the heathens believing. His Christ alive in your heart. Has the birth of Christ taken place in your heart. Has the devil chased you long enough. It time for Christ light to shine forth and you to return to the hope of restoration and forgiveness.

Dear Heavenly Father thank you for your hope through Son/and Word. Thank you for giving us hope through physical appearance of our Savior to remind us of your might and power. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

Continual Scripture Study for Devotion:Revelation 12:1-11 KJV
(1) And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:
(2) And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered.
(3) And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.
(4) And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.
(5) And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.
(6) And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.
(7) And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,
(8) And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.
(9) And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
(10) And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.
(11) And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
