The Knowledge Of The Perfect Man
08/15/2021

Daily Devotions:
by Christina Farris

Ephesians 4:13-16 KJV
13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:
16 From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.

Ladies don't get to excited here this is not about your ideal man for marriage in the flesh, this is about Christ. Men do not try and compare your imperfection to Christ, because Christ is in perfection even before his humanity on earth. We must lay aside many doctrines and cunning craftiness of men that try and deceive man with lies about the truth of God's word. The perfect man Christ is sent in his perfection because God's love for us. He comes as his Son/Word and is a manifestation of God's love. If Jesus is the Son of God in perfection then because he is the word, and the word of God is made perfect. The word being essential to our maturity in faith and to walking in perfection of not only his grace but his word. Jesus was already walking in perfection of God's word, because he was the Son of God, the word of God and perfect in obedience to God.

That last sentence in the last paragraph is a mouthful. If we are to follow Christ, we must learn to walk in perfection of God's word. I don't know about you, but I know about me, that failure seems to be writen in my pathway at times, because of my failing of obedience to God's word, which is obedience to Christ. But do I go about sinning to sin, only perhaps when the reality of the fact that something we do only because of our desire or humanity at the moment causes one to slip and fall to the need to repentance at the true knowledge of God's word. Meaning we fall knowing our imperfection compares not to his Son's perfection because of our sinful nature. When we receive Christ we lay aside our sinful nature to make Jesus Lord of our life. However our humanity often still effects us into not living out the perfection of Christ. Did we fail, we did, but was it our fault, it was, but are we protected by Christ blood on the cross?

Eve had no protection of the cross she bore, nor did Adam, but they had knowledge of God's word and the ability to disobey God's word. The word of God broken had consequences. Now when we sin and are people of faith, our disobedience no longer causes death. However it does not mean one strives to sin, because if you strive to sin your are a son and daughter of Satan and not a child of God. When sin looks inviting and we know it is sin, then we have to ask do we sin because it invites us to sin or because we choose to sin. Eve was inticed to sin, but until she actually ate the fruit there was no sin. Word of God not made perfect in Eve upon her sinning and because it was not perfected in Eve life she faced consequences of that sin. Yet it also cause all of mankind to face the consequences for Adam's sin of obedience to his wife Eve and not God.

Apostle Philip went and climbed up in a chariot in obedience to God's Spirit. Upon hearing what the Eunuch of Candance was reading in Isaiah he expounded on the word of God. Teaching who Christ was and is. Upon hearing the Eunuch wanted to make Jesus Lord of his life. Why because his word suffered and died at human imperfection and does still today. Yet his blood covers the believer in Christ. His blood covering our imperfection as Christ said forgive them for they know not what they do. He dies and he rises again. God gives us back his word for perfecting of his people to do what his will in their life and the life of the world. To teach man simple how his word is made perfect through our obedience to it as well as his ability for God to make his word perfect in our life by his will. With or without man God's will, will be performed in perfection. Christ perfection whether to make one day to the perfecting of his children matters not. The word always comes in perfect form.

That why when speaking about insurrection concerning Christ before the cross, we have to look at what is called sin and what is called obedience to God. Cleansing of the temple in obedience to God, is paying the price on the cross for the sin against disobedience to the law of man. Is God's law different then the law of man. Can one separate these two laws from their powers. Not every law of man is a law God would approve of. We have to ask do we really approve of some laws that exist. Do you agree with abortion, euthasia, suicide, capital punishment and the list goes on. Did God approve all of man's laws? Definitely not. However the consequences of obedience to man's law also is defined by the cross we as believers bear the cross of man as did our Savior bear the cross for the imperfection of the word of man and his laws.

The laws of America is suppose to work in the context of agreement of accepting of laws even different then even faith. Christ died the same way to man's law as Eve and Adam died to God's laws. Does it make it right only to man in the idea of eye for eye and tooth for a tooth. Does it make it right to God, the word forgiveness at the cross must be applied. Forgiveness for laws of man that breaks or does not support the laws of God.

Are we willing to forgive as God forgave us. He created the world, his laws always should be first and not last, but man has ruled on earth because man does not desire God. But without God what disasters would befall man, what healing would not be possible, what vaccines would not be available and so forth. Would human life be really possible without a Creator? God is in charge of the universe, but man's laws are imperfected by the evilness of do it your selfers, of my way is right and your way is wrong and never considering what is God's way. God even allowed man to sin, gave man free will.

In the New Jerusalem it will be ruled by God and His Son Jesus Christ, his word living in perfection in a place God designed for his children to walk for eternity. When we are baptized into Christ/word/water we are baptized into Christ perfection. Our ability to sin still exist but ability to sin against God is impossible. What is the sin against God but not to believe in God and His Son. We believe but do we obey, and that what it about. Following in the ways of faith and not the ways of destruction. We build on God's word in our life, to wholesome living in faith.

Dear Heavenly Father when a person receives you as Lord, they are choosing to walk in obedience to your word knowing if they fail in their humanity your word is still made perfect. That Christ himself came as perfect Man. He is still perfect and nothing can change that. That Christ pays a price for our imperfection daily despite our desire to live perfect as he is perfect, because you are love and Christ is the manifestation of your love. Thank you for your redeeming love through your Son and his blood atoning power in our life. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

Continual Scripture Study: 1 John 5:1-12 KJV
1 Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him.
2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.
3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.
4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
5 Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?
6 This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth.
7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
8 And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.
9 If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son.
10 He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.
11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.

1 John 5:20 KJV
20 And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.
