Are You Part Of The Wall 08/10/2021
Daily Devotions: by Christina FarrisRevelation 21:9-27 KJV
9 And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb's wife.
10 And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,
11 Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal;
12 And had a wall great and high, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel:
13 On the east three gates; on the north three gates; on the south three gates; and on the west three gates.
14 And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.
15 And he that talked with me had a golden reed to measure the city, and the gates thereof, and the wall thereof.
16 And the city lieth foursquare, and the length is as large as the breadth: and he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs. The length and the breadth and the height of it are equal.
17 And he measured the wall thereof, an hundred and forty and four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of the angel.
18 And the building of the wall of it was of jasper: and the city was pure gold, like unto clear glass.
19 And the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all manner of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, a chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald;
20 The fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolite; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, a topaz; the tenth, a chrysoprasus; the eleventh, a jacinth; the twelfth, an amethyst.
21 And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass.
22 And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.
23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.
24 And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it.
25 And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there.
26 And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it.
27 And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.
Ever build a wall or a house you know that a foundation must be laid. The foundation are the twelve Apostles. Remember Christ is the Chief Cornerstone of the wall, or starting block of the wall. Christ being chief corner stone has all other foundations laid upon it so that it stands. This foundation is made of precious stone. The foundation of faith in Christ Jesus can be seen with the question and responses of the disciples as they walked and talked with Jesus, and in the testimony of their life with Christ found in four Gospels in the history of the Christ church writen much later from historical view of what became of all Twelve Apostles on this earth. Why is their testimony so important it is to verify why Christ came, why Christ served us and why He died for us. Do we have faith without their testimony. Ask Moses if he talked to a burning bush, ask Abraham if he talked to the Spirit of God as well as Jehovah the man in the image of God in the flesh, ask Solomon who spoke to him? and Let us stop there ask Adam and Eve about the garden, the prophets of both major and minor ones in the Bible, and let us not forget Paul who seen Christ as a bright light on the road of Damacus that turned him blind. As the soothesayers that had a divine encounter with God almighty and an angel that blocked his pathway like Baalam, who was a false prophet called to speak the words of God, not because he desire to but it was by the will of God.
How about current times, the testimony of the believers and witnesses of faith in the church world who lives have been changed by Christ and how God used them for his purpose and glory. Missionaries tell their story of how God used them in all parts of the world to testify of his greatness. How as they obey and trust him, he provided testimony to their area of witness even into their death. For some believers were saved with maryterism of the saints and all saved with faith in Christ Jesus(Paul Story end of Acts 7 and chapter 9). Sometimes it took the death of innocent to bring about faith in another. Jesus was the only one that could die for all mankind's sin. Why because God created man in his image. God design man and God takes on the responsibility of man obedience to temptation because he created the serpent. He is the only one that could pay the price for our sin and he does through his son Jesus who he gave as a ransome for us. You can not pay for something God does through his design. Is it a design flaw, Science would try and say it was, but in truth God wanted people to love and believe him not on his terms so to speak, but he wanted their obedience because they love him back, not out of force. Adam and Eve if they been force to obey God the story of the garden would been one of slavery to God. Instead God gave them choice with consequence for their choice and then gave their children the same choice of obedience. Man continued to sin, and the need for salvation came through sacrifice and obedience to the law and God took that away with belief/faith in his Son. There times we disobey God and pay the consequence for our disobedience. It is a testimony of faith to those that believe. When we see the saints of God obey unto death, we know they arrived at the point of truly believing God over man witchcraft, sorcery, deception and the ways of the devil. Willing to live for Jesus, because of God's love to redeem his children through the gift of his Son and his saving grace of forgiveness and mercy.
The wall is a wall that been purged by every sin and weight that befalls man. It is a wall that been cover by the blood of Jesus. It is a wall that been cleanse and made into jewel and shined by the Father's hand. If you remember anything about the science of Diamonds, they are formed in the coal fields by the compressing of coal together to form a diamond. Coal is black and suity. Dirty but underneath is a pure diamond and once the coal is removed upon finding it the diamond will shines bright. I never heard of men finding diamonds so much in West Virginia and Virginia Coal mines usually in Africa for some reason. However I been told that diamonds are in coal country. It no different then a grain of sand that forms into a pearl inside a giant clams mouth over decades. You have that nasty clam juice on it and taken it out and shine it up, it becomes valuable. God sees all our filth from the world that covers us. He calls to us and tell us of His love. When we receive Christ as Lord and Savior, his Son's blood shed for you and me covers us and his death on the cross pays for our sin and we buried with him. God then begins to shine us up for his wall of testimony that surrounds his kingdom and for his glory and honor. It will be coming down with the New Jerusalem built for God's people. Are you a child of the King. Are you a child of Christ. The hope is yours if you believe and recieve Christ today. Take advantage of how to be saved button on the page. Stop wondering if you are but how you can be and do something about it today. Don't worry about the dirt in your life, God going to shine and polish you, but he going to do so with his love and compassion for you.
Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for the testimony of your people and even those not of you. That tell the story of first your will and your love for mankind. In Jesus precious name, Amen. Continual Scripture Study: Ephesians 2:17-22 KJV
17 And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh.
18 For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.
19 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;
20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;
21 In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:
22 In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.
