Daily Devotions:
by Christina Farris

Ephesians 3:9-21 KJV
9 And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:
10 To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,
11 According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord:
12 In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him.
13 Wherefore I desire that ye faint not at my tribulations for you, which is your glory.
14 For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
15 Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,
16 That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;
17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,
18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;
19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.
20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
21 Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.

The symbolizism in scripture can not be counted on one hand or even two. What I mean often the writers and prophets and even in the Psalms speak in familiar terms of their day in descriptive fashion. In teaching it is necessary to often compare one thing to another that a person may or may not be familiar with. If I only had the New Testment and not the old there are parts of the New Testament that in any depth might be a struggle to understand. Thought it is my job to type it all out in explanation, sometimes, I have to remember I am talking about another day and time. Trying to allow the read understand the day time is a little different. I have perhaps seen enough movies and read enough books to get a vivid pictorial picture of perhaps the throne of God. Yet in the same instant, I realize perhaps others have not the same experience as far as looking at scripture. Sometimes my own description is not enough either. So here the thing viewers, when it does not make a bit a sense it your job perhaps to do a little research of your own. In other words we are after are online unless someone printed a copy and you reading that. Main thing is allows the Holy Spirit to guide you in understanding.

I seem to have two passages posted today that seem not linked. But yet they are talking about the same thing. Christ role in the universe as we know it both on earth and in heaven. I have talked so much about Christ being the word of God, God and even the flesh that it be easy to forget the transformation of Christ as being in the body upon the throne, as being part of the second person of the Trinity,(a term used to describe the three person of the God head as being one and yet in three persons) If you look at our Presidential team in the oval office, one thing to note most of Trump children have a position in his administration. Point being no one can get beyond the Trumps to know exactly what going on in the executive branch without their okay. First time in history it been to this extreme. Yet Trump probably trust his children. Something to think on most of his children probably went to some type of private school, maybe not all. What is my point about the Trumps. Their role and position is noted, Their oneness because of being the same family has had also other influences. Not always mommy and daddy influences. That is a positive for American public. It means though the Trumps are like minded, they do not necessarily share the same ideas all the time. Meaning discussion can still take place. The oness of mind in the administration is not as complete as God's administration with His Son. The Oneness of God and his Son though Christ experience human life, he still was apart of the godhead. He experienced in a unique way of being in the flesh, feeling our agony, our pain, and what it was to be human and to have a destructible body, one that would be marred by sins of the people. God the Father though He is God, is separated from the physical experience in a since. God in the since of Spirit experienced what His Son did. God Father not being flesh in the since of man, did not feel the imperfection of our world the way the Son did. God's word became flesh and dwelt among us. We know God the Father Jehovah walked in the garden of eden with Adam and Eve. We understand from Hebrews 1:13 this is probably a physical presence and not just spiritual one, after all Christ has a glorified body. Not one of flesh and bones, but one physical tangible body that sits besides the Father.

Christ went to the school of hard knocks in a since. After all he ate, and worked just like anyone else does on the earth. The human experience, felt by the Father, and experienced fully by the Son because of the union of the Holy Spirit between the two. The oneness of the Son and Father by the Holy Spirit, and the Holy Spirit is the same Spirit that comes and lives with our Spirit when we ask Jesus to come into our hearts for salvation. Was Christ in glorified state on in physical tangible presence of being the Word before His birth. I do not believe so. Was God developing as we do, no, because God is the same yesterday, today and forever, according to scripture, but yes in a physical way perhaps Godhead was becoming clearer to man in physical way, in the vision of the throne. Christ is the scepter of righteousness. The scepter of faith. Judah was the lawgiver, a human lawgiver. He was to have eternal offspring that would rule for eternity. He is Jacob's son, one the twelve. This is the tribe that Christ comes from, he is consider by human origin the son of David, or offspring of David. Psalms 112 is said to be a vision of Christ sitting by the Father on the throne. He is offspring of also the priestly line and his wandering feet tell he is a definitely the son of Levites as well. Levites travel to other places besides their home if they had one.

Christ is the Word of God and the word of God created light. The Word order the light to be as well as set each days activities, but it the Spirit that forms these things, or the hands of God. The Word is the law or instruction part of the Godhead, yet the authority of the God is seen in the Father and the Holy Spirit. Why because the word itself is the same, in each part of the godhead even seen in the flesh. The power of God's word to heal, to cease a storm, and even shake a few mountains. When word of God comes forth and is breath by the Spirit it breaths life. The three person's of the Godhead is carried out in the physical since, and spiritual since. The Throne is said to have rainbow over the thrown symbolizing the Holy Spirit. Showing the ruling power of the Godhead bodily. Back to Psalms 112, the description might also be declaration of the son beside his father David and helping for a time on the throne

In scripture we understand the believer will one day rule with Christ. Reference is I Corinthians 6 Yet the believer is not God, his spirit is not God and so we are not metamorphosis into the godhead. However the Spirit of God is uniting us with His Spirit, and yet our Spirit is only united because he lives within us and communes with us. We do give up our earthly bodies for a new one in heaven. In no way is the rest of the population of the world Jesus in the since of being equal to God the Father as Christ is. Jesus in the flesh was fully God in the since of Spirit and Word, while he walked the earth after his physical birth.

These two passage for today's lesson tells one the importance of the Christ being the Word, The second his position on the throne. Two different images to describe the Godhead. It simple to understand but in truth most have little time to think on it. Scholars and teachers perhaps dwell on the thought to much. Its why one will see emphasives on the three parts of the Godhead being separate and enunciated separately, to clarify the roles of Salvation and workings of the God head. Yet the godhead is truly one.

Dear Heavenly Father, help us to remember your power and might seen in all three persons of the trinity, and yet the position of not only equality, but function being whole within and with the separation of each part of the Trinity. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

Continual Scripture Study for Devotion: Hebrews 1:1-14 KJV
1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;
3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;
4 Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.
5 For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?
6 And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.
7 And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire.
8 But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.
9 Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.
10 And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands:
11 They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment;
12 And as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail.
13 But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool
14 Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?
