Revelation 20:1-15 KJV 1 And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. 2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, 3 And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season. 4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. 5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. 6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years. 7 And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, 8 And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea. 9 And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them. 10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. 11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. 12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. 13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. 14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

What to know about the thousand year reign of Christ. The devil is locked away and marked with a seal that will not allow him to tempt or deceive a soul for a period of thousand years. The people reigning with Christ are people that had been persecuted. A time frame when believers are free to roam the earth sharing the Gospel of Jesus. A time period where many will receive knowledge of the word of God and Christ. There been a resurrection the first resurrection after Christ ascension. A time of period of judgment during the thousand years. Christ coming as judge upon the earth. There are those that have the mark of Satan on their hand and forehead. A mark perhaps visible maybe not. Yet it matters not, because Christ word is going forth across the land. Slaying those that do not believe. Then comes the time of testing for the devil is loosen for seven years to deceive the nations once more before being cast for eternity into the bottomless pit. Stop wait all this seems like a long way off and yet at the same time not. The time frame for the resurrection is not known but to our Heavenly Father. For the unbeliever this matters not, to the believer it is the hope we will see the resurrection in our life time, to non believer it is a period of hope of seeing the reign of Christ come to be, but whether it comes in our current life span or later, we will be with Christ. Imagine the people seeing Christ come, for only judgment to be upon the nations that received not the Gospel of Christ. In Christian world evidence of Christ presents to the non believer can no longer exist in this time frame of thousand years. It like being awaken to truth of who God is and the reality of Christ. A type of revival perhaps and time of soul winning. Then when period is over the devil begins to deceive. It must be strong delusion/deception for Christ to be present during the thousand and then for a period the devil is allowed to roam. It like have the water flowing in a leak producing a small pond only to have the pond stop when the leaky pipe is fixed. One last temptation for the believer to test loyalty of God's people. The final sorting of the wheat from the tares. The final current call of deception before God's authority reigns for eternity. God's authority has been in question since the time of Adam and Eve. God's authority is in question the minute sin is chosen over God's way. God wants to take away the questioning of His authority from His people. He wants them to know that Satan no longer has any power. Around the world many powers exist. When one thinks of scripture David with a sling shot comes to mind. David had faith, maybe even more as a young man. For he took a stone to kill the giant. It is not always the most powerful people to stand against a powerful adversary it sometimes the seemly weaker person that wins the battle. Why because the leaders are looking from the size of the situation and not the power of God. David unafraid because he had faced many adversary as a boy, from lions, to bears having to kill to protect the flock. He knew exactly what would kill a stronger beast then him. No doubt he been taught and shown how to use a sling shot. His life depending on his accuracy. Yet the nation looking at the size of the situation and not the ability given them or that they might already possess. I keep lifting weights and now am at a point I wonder what am I trying to accomplish here. The focus and the goaled to be accomplished is going to take more then the ability to lift 100 lbs or more. I can lift all the weights in the gym and it would not matter if I do not gain endurance. It will not matter if I can do 100 reps if I do not gain endurance. Sometimes looking at the situation is not about ability but about the lasting journey. The nations of the world must continue to work at peace for it far greater then war. It is far greater for it is the lasting strength of our nations. Coming to grips as nations we do not all have everything perfect, but desiring to achieve greater success by what we can accomplish over a long time period. The main thing is people happy and working not idle to think of ways to change our society for evil. Happy people make good government. Unhappy people make a government loose their power over time. It might not be today or tomorrow but it will happen. History declares that evil governments do come to a close. When we work together accomplishing good goals that demonstrate who we are as a people despite our beliefs we accomplish more. As a believer Christ rule is something to look forward too. Not without war, but with God's word going forth to help the nations heal with love and compassion for all. Dear Heavenly Father, you know the needs of the people in our land and around the world to have hope. It may not be the time of Christ in regards to the thousand year reign but it is the time of Christ to have love going forth around the world despite background and the passed. Forgiveness has always healed the nations. May forgiveness not destroy the memories for us to retain to learn from. In Jesus precious name, Amen.
