Daily Devotions: by Christina Farris

2 Corinthians 5:1-9 KJV
(1) For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.
(2) For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven:
(3) If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked.
(4) For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life.
(5) Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit.
(6) Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord:
(7) (For we walk by faith, not by sight:)
(8) We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.
(9) Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him.

We long to be clothed with our heavenly body. Not cloth with the body of this world. Would you not like to think of your body being the perfect size, the perfect shape, and the perfect weight. Well our spiritual bodies will be the perfect size , weight and shape for we are God’s blocks for his temple. Christ being the chief cornerstone. Christ the cornerstone shape, weight and size is perfectly designed. Build on love, hope faith in Christ our bodies will be created and designed to fit right in the temple of God.

While we live on this earth our bodies are not perfectly size, shaped, or weight for one viewer or the next. Some might think a person is to think, to fat, or even to perfectly shaped to be normal. The truth is as Christians how are life shape and is measured by humans will never measure up to their idea of what a Christian should or should not be. Yet for God our perfection comes through faith in Christ Jesus, through repentance and forgiveness of sin. The believer body being shaped and designed to fit the image of Christ daily. Anything not shaped correctly or balanced correctly the Holy Spirit will correct so that on the day of judgment we can stand holy and perfect before the Lord, with garments unspotted and stained with sin, but washed and purified with the blood of Jesus. The blood purging our sin knowing our sin caused Christ death. Knowing that as God shapes us and molds us for His kingdom, we are learning to be the type of people God desires us to be. It is the wooing of the Holy Spirit that comforms us into His image, but we are never God but we are able to be the building block to the temple in heaven.

Are your prepared for Heaven. Our preparation begins with first belief in Jesus. We are cleansed and purified and made a stone in the kingdom of God. Our stone gets dirty, moldy and moss growing on it with keeping shined by God’s Holy Word. We have to keep the faith and allow the Holy Spirit keep us shining for God so that on the day of judgment we are as we should be for God’s Holy temple and not how the world desires us to be dirty and cast out from God. The world hates God. The world hates the ideal of obedience and submission to God. God requires us to live Holy unto Him. To stay faithful to God alone and not do idols that can not protect or save you from a life of sin.

Are you allowing God to shape you and mold you for His kingdom for His honor and glory. Changing us beginning with belief and then enabling us to be people that love, long suffer, gentleness, and have mercy toward others. To be representative or ambassador for Jesus.

Dear Heavenly Father change me into the person you want me to be, holy and spotless before you. Not by my ability but yours. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

2 Corinthians 5:17-21 KJV
(17) Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
(18) And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
(19) To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
(20) Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.
(21) For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
