Daily Devotions: by Christina Farris

Colossians 1:12-23 KJV
(12) Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:
(13) Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:
(14) In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
(15) Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:
(16) For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
(17) And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
(18) And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.
(19) For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell;
(20) And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.
(21) And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled
(22) In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:
(23) If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;

If one see the trinity not has One God but three is it based on the baptism of Jesus. At the baptism of Christ one sees not only the Savior in the flesh, but the Holy Spirit descend like a dove and the Father speaking from heaven saying this is my Son whom I am will pleased. Each born again believer has all parts of the Godhead within them, yet they are not God. The Holy Spirit indwell, sealing, and empowering them to be more like Christ. The word resigning in the heart and mind by the Spirit prompting and being to mind the things of God speaking to our Spirit to remind us of himself. The word being Christ not in the flesh, and the Father being both the word and Spirit indwelling in our hearts teaching us by the parts of Him that is can be in separated and yet still connected to the Father. The main circuit board going from the power company to each house breaker box. Is a good example of How the Father being in Heaven yet everywhere at the same time as long as the line of communication is unbroken between the believer and Him. Fortunately with God the current always flows. Christ having the self same spirit of God as God yet still God anointed his Son with His Spirit, speaking to those seeing that this was His Son. God’s spirit flowing with two even flows of current saying This is my Son and being within His Son. The Word being contained in the flesh, and yet spoken to go forth outside the flesh of Christ and spoken by the Father. Repeat through scripture by the saints and the readers of the word, and also the Holy Spirit through memorization and by recalling of it to mind.

The invisible God creating the world and was before the world began. The word going forth by His Spirit to create and to be from the beginning. Yet God’s word had the ability to be twisted, manipulated and tried by humanity. Humanity had the ability to take the things of God’s word and twist it for their use. Christ coming in the flesh only meant that the human part God allowed man to touch could be restored. The human part that God allowed man to have could be destroyed but not for long. The devil will make some slogan to corrupt the word of God only to have some saint come by and fix it. At the cross the saints/disciples of Christ watch his body die, while the world mocked, until the earthquake came. The soldier cried out this must be the Son of God, and yet Christ body did not rise or get off the cross. The disciples huddled in the upper room as if to say what do we do, the dead rose but not our Lord. The women going to the tomb according to the law to fulfill burial rights only on the third day find the grave empty and the stone rolled away by the angels of God. Now giving the disciples something to rejoice about and now remembering Jesus said He would rise on the third day.

The word might remain hidden for a time but it can not remain hidden. It has to come forth. Christ was reconciled to the saints. Reconciled in visible format. Reconciled for the sole purpose of reconciling us to God. The heart break of the disciple no longer upon His appearing. That what a fool we were gone feeling upon seeing Him. Christ words on the cross no longer in vain to the disciples ears of forgive them Father for they know not what they do. The ability to preach and share the good news of Jesus coming forth from their lips, to share how his blood covered our sins through His death and brought us back to life through the resurrection. How His death paid the price for the saints of God, and how deliverance came by the power of God with the resurrection of both the saints and Christ.

We all were alienated from God at some point until belief occurred. We at the minimum wicked in our minds and sometimes into action. Christ died to take way our sin and our wickedness in our mind, so we can be people of holiness, and good works singing the praises of Jesus of the enabler in our life who paid the price for our sin.

Dear Heavenly Father thank you for your Son who came not only by your Word, but in the flesh to teach us your word spoken. To provide salvation for those that hear and listen. Not always understanding until revealed through the resurrection. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

Continual Scripture Study for Devotion:

John 20:19-20 KJV
(19) Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.
(20) And when he had so said, he shewed unto them his hands and his side. Then were the disciples glad, when they saw the Lord.
