Genesis 49:22-26 KJV
(22) Joseph is a fruitful bough, even a fruitful bough by a well; whose branches run over the wall:
(23) The archers have sorely grieved him, and shot at him, and hated him:
(24) But his bow abode in strength, and the arms of his hands were made strong by the hands of the mighty God of Jacob; (from thence is the shepherd, the stone of Israel:)
(25) Even by the God of thy father, who shall help thee; and by the Almighty, who shall bless thee with blessings of heaven above, blessings of the deep that lieth under, blessings of the breasts, and of the womb:
(26) The blessings of thy father have prevailed above the blessings of my progenitors unto the utmost bound of the everlasting hills: they shall be on the head of Joseph, and on the crown of the head of him that was separate from his brethren.

Joseph was a chief corner stone for the tribe of Israel, because he would trust and obey the Lord despite his circumstances and would rise in power in a land not of promise, but salvation to Israel in a time of famine because He obey the Lord even when facing imprisonment. In due time Joseph would be exalted up for salvation for both Egypt and Israel. Joseph would die like any man and would be laid to rest, but he was called chief cornerstone because he interceded for the people between God and man. He spoke the prophesy of the Lord to draw all people to the living God. Jesus is called a chief cornerstone because he would save both Israel and the gentiles from their sins.. Jesus would be the chief corner stone of faith of the church of Christ for the people after His resurrection.

Dear Heavenly Father thank you for providing a living chief cornerstone of faith who name is Jesus. In Jesus precious name, Amen.
