Proverbs 10:13-32 KJV
(13) In the lips of him that hath understanding wisdom is found: but a rod is for the back of him that is void of understanding.
(14) Wise men lay up knowledge: but the mouth of the foolish is near destruction.
(15) The rich man's wealth is his strong city: the destruction of the poor is their poverty.
(16) The labour of the righteous tendeth to life: the fruit of the wicked to sin.
(17) He is in the way of life that keepeth instruction: but he that refuseth reproof erreth.
(18) He that hideth hatred with lying lips, and he that uttereth a slander, is a fool.
(19) In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin: but he that refraineth his lips is wise.
(20) The tongue of the just is as choice silver: the heart of the wicked is little worth.
(21) The lips of the righteous feed many: but fools die for want of wisdom.
(22) The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.
(23) It is as sport to a fool to do mischief: but a man of understanding hath wisdom.
(24) The fear of the wicked, it shall come upon him: but the desire of the righteous shall be granted.
(25) As the whirlwind passeth, so is the wicked no more: but the righteous is an everlasting foundation.
(26) As vinegar to the teeth, and as smoke to the eyes, so is the sluggard to them that send him.
(27) The fear of the LORD prolongeth days: but the years of the wicked shall be shortened.
(28) The hope of the righteous shall be gladness: but the expectation of the wicked shall perish.
(29) The way of the LORD is strength to the upright: but destruction shall be to the workers of iniquity.
(30) The righteous shall never be removed: but the wicked shall not inhabit the earth.
(31) The mouth of the just bringeth forth wisdom: but the froward tongue shall be cut out.
(32) The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable: but the mouth of the wicked speaketh frowardness.

Proverbs is a book easy to fly through with little more then a bat of an eye. Truth is righteousness and evil is a theme in almost any book. Seldom does evil triumph for long except in a satire where evil is the full prose of the poem. Any detective show will show you the evil plot of man in the most heinous crimes, but seldom does one think about what it took to get to the level of real out right plot of evil. Though devilish plots will speak of evil intent seldom does one think of scripture in the since of evil tails and plots. Yet to avoid the issue of evil would only see a great loving God has some kind of jealous freak that needs to be bowed to and honor without purpose. With the plot of evil the idea of a loving God and rest in peace sound like a place one wants to run to and be in the comfort of God’s loving arms. He no longer becomes a control freak, but a loving God that desires good things for a people. Perhaps God allows evil so we can appreciate his way just a little more.

There not a time when the idea of having an evil person whipped or flogged seems like a solution for the evilness of man then jail time. More then Islamic rule uses flogging. Every now and then you year of a case where a foreign is jail in a land of flogging who trying to get out of being beaten. It is rare but it happens. Whether it be because of lack of understanding of foreign law or abuse done to American only international law can decide. Yet if America enacted flogging in their world would it be better place. Would it shorten jail sentence or end crime rate. Sometimes flogging is making someone a public spectacle. Yet it often seldom works, it only gives way to copy cat crimes, because of people desire for notoriety. Yet seldom do copy cat people really think of the reality of the consequence of a crime. If they knew the reality they never walk the road to capital punishment of electric chair, hanging, or gas chamber. They would not want to be sentenced to death row.

If put in a position of evil does not one who knows better try to escape. Does one not do there best to change their situation. Yet the world uses these type of scenarios for movie entertainment, never think to long of the reality of what if put in dangerous situation. I asked a friend in apartment complex once did they have a fire escape route and there only answer was I will worry about it if the time ever comes, never thinking ahead of the evil that could be fall because they had no escape. As fire departments enter houses burning, only to have people trying to get out the door or windows. Not to many run into a fire, but train people. Yet our Lord ran right into hell after being beaten and crucified on this earth to set the captives free. Jesus is the first fire fighter recorded in scripture and his job was grabbing the key that goes to the door that he will shut completely one day to the eternal lake of fire that will burn continuously. A place of evil by torment and pain. Usually if you shut a fire up in a place it will smother out. Yet the fire of evil will only be contained, never to roam freely again. You can be apart of the eternal fire department or those only escaping the fire. However once rescue the need to be evolve developers even if is only making a cake or cookies for those heroes or putting up smoke detector.

The simple truth sometimes one has to experience evil to understand what good is. Yet it much wiser never to need evil to teach one a lesson. While on earth as a believer we see evil knowing that when good triumphs in our daily life it will one day triumph for eternity. Though correction with a rod might seem more practical punishment for evil people then to give a person a vacation with a meal. Yet in all retrospect the concept of evil has to be shown for man to understand evil is no good. Yet some never understand the value of God or his commands. To shun evil is to escape the fire of hell through faith in Christ Jesus, through both belief and turning away from wickedness. God gives man a choice to be either left to his own devices or follow Him. It kind of like putting something together like a bicycle. You want to follow the instruction instead of trying to just say I know what it looks like I can put it together without the book to only have a few nuts and bolts missing from the bicycle that causes it to crash after being ridden down a hill with no brakes that work. The world thinks they can figure life out without the Creator of life. They think they can slam on the breaks on that path that is in truth is running straight into hell. You can not learn to put life together and ride smoothly in the right direction without the instruction manual. Pick up your Bible today and see what God will teach you about His wisdom.
