Mark 12:28-34 KJV
(28) And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, Which is the first commandment of all?
(29) And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:
(30) And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
(31) And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.
(32) And the scribe said unto him, Well, Master, thou hast said the truth: for there is one God; and there is none other but he:
(33) And to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbour as himself, is more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.
(34) And when Jesus saw that he answered discreetly, he said unto him, Thou art not far from the kingdom of God. And no man after that durst ask him any question.

Jesus was asked more then once about the greatest commandment. Yet the wisdom of God is clear when Jesus answer truthfully and honestly the simple answer each time to love the Lord thy God. To love God might seem like a robotic answer until one thinks about the power of God. The power of God to destroy as will as to build. To love out of fear. Grabbing the altar in a church because of the hell fire and brimstone just preach seems like a psychological response to the harshness and fear of the dangers of going to hell being preached. Yet the response to loving God has to be more in tuned with the response of understand God’s eternal grace and salvation. Many people blame God for all the evil in the world never considering they can not fix everything in the world even with the technology of big brother. One can not control another person’s response or reaction. Through psychology you can get a trained a response. The response to God for all the great things He does is understanding His awesomeness. God does not fix all the evilness of man at this time but will one day. One has to hold to the hope of Christ return to fix the evilness of this world for eternity.

To love God because of who He is seems like a cliché only if you are atheist. Yet for a believer it makes since. It makes since because of the awesomeness of the relationship we have with God. A God that cares to speak to the heart of each of us of who He is and His power to enable us in our journey through life, open doors and go to battle against the enemy. To make our path straight and to deliver us from evil is just a few of the awesome things God does for a believer. God does not always give you golden streets in this world but one day He will. What he does do is turn our hearts to know more about Him. Not in psychological response, but in a relationship designed to meet the needs of our hearts and minds as we learn to communicate with Him. God has the ability to meet the need of the Christian scientist as well as the lawyers need to be mentally challenged as a seven year old. The Bible was inspired by God to challenge everyone relationship to soar to knew heights with Him. To have a God that is able to meet the needs of the intellect and the needs of a small child seems like a parent who deals with the office all day and the children at night. Yet God love never fails the intellect or the child, yet the world fails the child and the intellect with murder, war, rape, abuse, thievery and hatred. Evilness of this world is enough to destroy the people of this world to hating what they do not understand as evilness belonging to the author called Satan. God’s long suffering to allow man to choose between good and evil is beyond our comprehension. Yet our response to love God is a free choice despite the understanding of the awesomeness of God. Are we only singing I love you Lord in a crowd or stage but when the crowd is gone finding know time to sing his praises.

To love God is wisdom, but it not wisdom because of fear but because of a right response toward a God that cares for you. It is a right response to someone that already loves you. It is the right response to his compassion for the world. To love other has Christ loved us is more then just a right response it is a response because of the understanding of God’s grace. To love God is a wise response, even the laws of God begin with the correct response to love God and to love others. To fight against what you can not and will not destroy is ridiculous. You can not fight against God for you will not win. You can not fight against love for love never fails.

Dear Heavenly Father thank you for the wisdom of love and the right response to your love is to love back not because of it being the right thing to do but because of who you are. I love you Lord. In Jesus precious name, Amen.
