Ezra 7:23-28 KJV
(23) Whatsoever is commanded by the God of heaven, let it be diligently done for the house of the God of heaven: for why should there be wrath against the realm of the king and his sons?
(24) Also we certify you, that touching any of the priests and Levites, singers, porters, Nethinims, or ministers of this house of God, it shall not be lawful to impose toll, tribute, or custom, upon them.
(25) And thou, Ezra, after the wisdom of thy God, that is in thine hand, set magistrates and judges, which may judge all the people that are beyond the river, all such as know the laws of thy God; and teach ye them that know them not.
(26) And whosoever will not do the law of thy God, and the law of the king, let judgment be executed speedily upon him, whether it be unto death, or to banishment, or to confiscation of goods, or to imprisonment.
(27) Blessed be the LORD God of our fathers, which hath put such a thing as this in the king's heart, to beautify the house of the LORD which is in Jerusalem:
(28) And hath extended mercy unto me before the king, and his counsellors, and before all the king's mighty princes. And I was strengthened as the hand of the LORD my God was upon me, and I gathered together out of Israel chief men to go up with me.

Wisdom is a word in scripture that can mean to have the ability to use one skill to have the right and accurate outcome. If you watched someone weld exhaust, it is a skill that takes wisdom. You take an untrained person with only the knowledge that you light a torch, you will never get the exhaust pipe cut or another one skillfully put in place. I can take a ball of yarn and craft something with a crochet hook to resemble a toy, hat or afgan. Yet without wisdom the stitch is not possible. Godly wisdom comes from God for a particular task. The original design of the temple was created and designed by the wisdom of God. The second time the temple was build after the return of Babylon the rebuilding was ordered by the king and the setting up of laws and religious law was given in the wisdom of a prophet out of fear of the God of Israel. The king did not necessarily fear the God of Israel alone, but feared many gods and the establishment of each of those temples of gods would be established across the land. Our nation today is almost set up this way if you think about it. There many people who worship many different gods, and each is establish to execute their religious law as well as legal law. The kings law would out trump the religious law in many cases. At the time of Christ, Jesus was executed by the judgment of religious law, for Pilot found no fault with Jesus and even washed his hands of the matter.

I do not agree with some religious laws, and others I do. And Neither do I agree with all legal laws, but all legal laws not obeyed in the since of application to self, is costly too the human freedom of life. Religious law often dictates a thousand of year law that was established based on legal and social laws of the day and time. A form of legalism that applies not to necessarily today in the form of ritualism. Yet there is a spiritual law established to worship only God and no other gods. I think it hard for our leaders to belong to a social club that establishes the worship of many gods in order to give peace to all religious groups. I only believe in the worship of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The God that is One yet seen in three persons as the Father, the word and the Spirit going forth. I can not adhere to many religions, but I have never felt the call of Gideon in my life to go tear down physical idols of the land, only spiritual idols. Meaning to see converts from all faiths to the one true God who name is Jehovah, Jesus, Holy Ghost, Everlasting Father, The Peace of Peace, The Spirit of Wisdom, and so forth and so on. A God with many names but only one in power. Unified by the trust of His word and execution of His word.

The kings law allowed for many religions as well as laws that protected society and the kings desires. When we look at history and see the establishment of religious law within a legal since, then the devil seems to be in control. It matters not if the king believes in one God, he allows for other god’s to be worshipped. If I say I do not care what god you worship, then I say I care not for you spiritually. If I care that you only worship my God then I am a religious zealot. If I say I give you freedom to worship whoever I may sound like hypocrite to the right wing hypocrites of my faith. Yet If I say the wisdom of God has always been to turn one over to sin against him, I will have to prove it by the original disobedience of God allowing Adam and Eve to live despite their obeying the serpent. God never condone what the serpent taught Adam and Eve. There were consequences for what the serpent taught it was called death.

We all obey the devil or laws contrary to the law of God, never even realizing the establishment of the law of the devil in the world we live in. There is a day coming where religious law will be the only rule. Islam thinks they have a market for it, but God is chief in this law when Christ returns, from Heaven above. Some believe Christ coming in the airways is what it means for Christ to return. It is a type of return, but it is not the finally return. For Christ will come in a cloud in physical form. That is what Christians look for God to part those eastern skies and Christ to descend. This is the law to come not the law today. As a Christian I obey both legal and spiritual law of faith. The devil is masked by our laws, more clearly seen with some laws that go against God’s design of the perfect laws that all abide by.

The king in this passage want Ezra to teach both laws to the people and to set up leaders and rulers to do just that. To re establish the temple by the laws of man and God. To reestablish the Jewish society, because he feared the God of Jerusalem might cause him harm. Ezra because of his skill given by God to be a prophet and leader to the tribe of Israel was to establish the legal and religious law of the people. To establish the teaching and execution of the law. To appoint others with wisdom and skills to perform the task. This was order by the king and not necessarily by God. Though God was the one to call his people home for prophesy state this would occur. King probably knew not about the prophesy of the return of the Jewish people to Jerusalem and cared little about it. Must like Herod who only cared that he might loose power went in search for the new king that was born who name as Jesus. In the process destroyed people’s lives caring not that God wanted to establish peace for a people with Christ coming. The king of Ezra day was bring a people home to learn the ways of society that was in control, as well as their own ways.

There things I do not and never will agree with in some churches, yet one obeys the Spirit of God one can not go wrong with God and that is who we have to be concerned with. What does God say concerning things going on. If I remove the legal laws in scripture and then reexamine them would all the laws in scriptuer be for today, or are they only in conflict with society laws, that we ignore them unless one can apply them to self and not another? To impose your beliefs of faith is to expect them to act as you do and respond as you do. You can not expect people to follow your religious views, but you can expect them to follow the laws of the land and to face consequences when they do not.

The wisdom of God to allow the devil to have his time is coming to a halt with the decree of more evil in our legal laws. Yet we have define it has giving peace with our neighbor that different then us. Allowing people their God given rights to live despite their sin. It is our job to teach the ways of God if you believe in the ways of God. God called his disciples, his children of Jesus to teach all nations not just a few.

Dear Heavenly Father establish your spiritual laws of faith in me to the point that I even obey the laws of freedom you established when you kicked Adam and Eve out of the garden. Give me wisdom and discernment to execute your spiritual laws in my life. In Jesus precious name, Amen.
